16 Feb 2015; Isa 13

16 Feb 2015; Isa 13

Israel rebelled. God raised Assyria. Assyria became proud. God raise Babylon. Babylon became arrogant. God raised the Medes (Persian).

He raises one and bring down the other.

In reflection, all power belongs to the Lord. What I think I can accomplish is foolish in God. For when I became arrogant and think that all my achievement  - became a fool in the sight of God.

In contrast, God use me and made me a tool to accomplish the task you want me to do.

My mission - grow in wisdom, in statue, in favour with God and man. Anchored in his word and be a instrument for the glory of God.

12 Feb 2015; Isa 12

12 Feb 2015; Isa 12

It is a short chapter, a song of praise.

I have not been able to settle down - a life seem so in wondering. A life that God is so distance.

Although you were angry with me, your anger has turned away - Amen.

You have comfort me, my salvation. I will trust and not be afraid.

My strength, song, joy and water of refreshing.

Who then is my God? Do I have one or am I acting as if I have none?

Stand up, move up...

9 Feb 2015; Isa 10:20-34

9 Feb 2015; Isa 10:20-34

Be not afraid of the enemies Assyrian - for they were great in numbers but then will be few - only a remnants will be left.

These unfortunately was not referring to the Assyrian but the Israelite. Once they were many, but now few.

The once great, the Lord will brought them down. For the Assyrians, but few - none will be left. The race, the people of Assyria - will be no more. But the people of Israel continue till this day.

Here the Lord reminds of the love, the covenant he promise. Who do you choose? Not that you have chosen, but the Lord choose who to preserve and who to complete the destruction.

Therefore I pray that the Lord chose this family to be the salt and the light for the world around us. To the people around our interactions and our workplace.

I pray for myself to be able to trust in the covenant love that what the Lord started, let no one destroy. Therefore,
In that day the remnant of Israel and the survivors of the house of Jacob will no more lean on him who struck them, but will lean on the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth. (Isaiah 10:20 ESV)
lean on and trust in the Lord

2 Feb 2015; Isa 10:1-19

2 Feb 2015; Isa 10:1-19

Assyria a kingdom that raises swiftly. But it did not last for more the than 2 generations.

She attributed her raise to her own strength. She discover an alloy that made weapons stronger than that of the current technology. But who gave them the wisdom and caused Assyria to conquer the world?

In fact another nation, the lord raised had weapon stronger than them. Of course, what God create became its own failure and causes its own destruction tasting her own medicine.

The army was wasted away. The conquered forest and lustse land was taken away. Even before they can enjoyed the fruit of their conquest.

Who are we then compared to Assyria? Even that we are, don't forget the creator who gave the wisdom and the abilities.

Our material wealth and our whatever we earn, kniow that the Lords our Lord is the God. The creator of the ends of the earth.

Therefore give thanks for the don't have and the have. It is the Lord who raises us for a purposes. Like Assyria whose raise was to punish Israel. The what I achieve or poccess is for the intend that all who is around me may know the Lord my God.
