The books of Proverbs has 6 themes:
Wisdom starts with God
Wisdom protects the heart
Wisdom uses words carefully
Wisdom values the family
Wisdom chooses wise company
Wisdom shines as stars
The greatest danger is the one that is scuttle.
2 great danger that the inner life face:
Proverbs 1:32
The waywardness and complacency
[32] For the simple are killed by their turning away,
and the complacency of fools destroys them;
(Proverbs 1:32 ESV)
Waywardness - the simple, the compulsion of greed and pride.
[10] My son, if sinners entice you,
do not consent.
(Proverbs 1:10 ESV)
The solution for greed is to live simple. Live below your means - declutter
Enjoy the life of simplicity.
So that you have extra to give. Giving is the solution to greed.
Pride:
[22] “How long, O simple ones, will you love being simple?
How long will scoffers delight in their scoffing
and fools hate knowledge?
(Proverbs 1:22 ESV)
