22 sep 2010; 1Sam 28-29

1 Sam 28-29
It is a bit disheartening to read about the state of Saul. He started off well, but ended but badly. What if you are in the state as him, the need to shoulder the responsibility of fighting the Philistines but when you inquired of the Lord, nothing heard out?

It's not worth it. Unless the Lord move, I will not leave the place. If the Lord has reject me as the king, so be it. Give it to David. Why cling on and risk your life and that of your sons for something so intangible. I will rather spend my days waiting on the Lord, knowing that I have erred and come in repentent.

I am not worthy. I have failed in many ways like Saul. forgive me. Repent, repent repent.

As for David, 29:v4 For how could this fellow reconcile himself to his lord? Would it not be with the heads of the men here?

This is David - He is for the Lord. Nothing matter to him, not the world but the Lord's.
