Rev 7
This was after the 6th seal was broken. A great release of God wrath on the people.
A great multitude gathered.
v 14 These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
I remembered Don Moen's song- I stand in the midst of the multitude, of every tribe and tongue..
The 7th seal's wrath was not yet released, so these are the people that is save and need not to go through the tribulation. What is tribulation? I don't know - a great war, a great suffering, but nevertheless, wealth nor health cannot save you.
The reality show that this world will come and will come to pass - wipe out.
But the Lord Jesus Christ,
17 For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd,
and he will guide them to springs of living water,
and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
Again go for the things of eternity

12 Jan 2011; Rev 6
Rev 6
This chapter is about opening of the 7 seals. 6 are mentioned in chapter 6.
The first 4 is about conquer, unpeacefulness, unfairness, death.
The 5th is a contrast - 10 They cried out with a loud voice, “O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” 11 Then they were each given a white robe and told to rest a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants [3] and their brothers [4] should be complete, who were to be killed as they themselves had been.
The 6th - to me- is an irony.
When David was given a choice to choose between judgement from men or from God, he choose the later.
The first 4 seal saw great wrath and great distress on earth. When the 5th seal was to open, the people (whom they knew God) cried and God instead like the former seal (sending each a wrath), stop and gave His mercy to these people.
The irony came in the 6th seal. there is earthquake. The people instead of calling to God like those in the 5th seal called to the mountains and hills for help.
15 Then the kings of the earth and the great ones and the generals and the rich and the powerful, and everyone, slave [5] and free, hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains, 16 calling to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb, 17 for the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?”
I choose to be like the people in the 5th seal. They called out to God and surprisingly this is the only seal with no wrath!
I have work to do, which I don't know. I have a family to provide, to lead, which I need guidance. BUT I have a God, whom I can called out to - pray, pray pray.
Running to the mountains and the hills to hide away from the wrath is not a solution in the long term, for in verse 17, still the great day of their wrath has come, who can stand.
Run to God, pray pray pray.

Worthy is the Lion of Judah, the lamb of God that was slain.
Why the Lion of Judah? Because he has conquered. Conquered what?
Jesus is the Lion, strong from Judah, the root of David. He overcame in trial of life, in the temptations in the wilderness, in the agonies of the garden, the fears of death, and the bonds of the grave.
The 5th chapter is the great Redemption chapter In this chapter is included the great mysteries of God, from the creation and the fall of man until the final restitution of all things. Redemption! Redemption! What a great word! It means to buy again something that has been sold, by paying back the price to him that bought it. To deliver and bring out of bondage those who are kept prisoners, by their enemies.
Is my life sold for Christ. Has it been redeem for Christ?
Or is it still running round and round picking up the worths of the world for power, for status and for wealth?
The book in this chapter is sealed with seven seals and it can only be open if the seven seals are broken. Each seal comes a judgement.
But the end, the book or the scroll is about redemption. My life is a redeem life. How can I use it usefully and purposefully for you.
I will start with a lot and a lot of prayer, seeking and waiting...

The temptation of Christ
God loves you just the way you are. I just have to me me.
POWER
I don't have to do in order to please Him and make Him love me more.
3 And the tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.” 4 But he answered, “It is written,
“‘Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
The world goes for POWER, the ability to do great things, like able to turn things around, doing the impossible like turing stone into bread.
I am not of the world, I don't have to do great things showing my great ability and great power in order for God to love me.
STATUS
I do not need the approval of men and how they see me in order that God loves me.
6 and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written,
“‘He will command his angels concerning you,’
and
“‘On their hands they will bear you up,
lest you strike your foot against a stone.’”
I don't have to wow the audience that I can do miracles like a free fall and just before hitting the ground, I survived. Men will wow at that but I do that need that status, the approval of men.
The world goes for " I am the commander of the army, the President of ..", but
I am who I am, not gauge by the appointment, the status and the number of follower in order for God to love me.
MATERIAL WEALTH
I do not have to pocess great material wealth in order for God to accept me and love me.
The world look at and wow at how much I have, big car, big condo, big cash...
8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.” 10 Then Jesus said to him, “Be gone, Satan! For it is written,
“‘You shall worship the Lord your God
and him only shall you serve.’”
I have a God who loves me.
I do not have to depend on myself to do great things, for that pleases myself.
I do not have to hold great appointment, because that pleases me for the world to see.
I do not have to show off what material things I have, because that pleases me again.
God, all that I do let them pleases you, let all that I am is an office of destiny that you purpose in me. Let all that I have be from you and for you.
A colleague shared that all his 3 brothers died around 51 to 61. He is now 54-55. He knew the probability of how much time he has.
Live for God. I have the next 10 years, 20 years, let me purpose and live and leave a leagacy for God to my family.
God loves you just the way you are. I just have to me me.
