21 Feb; Rev 10

Rev 10
This chapter is just between the blowing of the sixth and the seventh trumpets.

Like chpater 7, which is between the opening of the sixth and the seventh seal, chpater 10 is like a interlude, a transmission pause to a show.

What is the show about? It is about the blowing of the 6 trumpets. The 6 trumpets brought about distruction, a third of the world was destroyed, a third of mankind was killed and yet they did not repent.

Chapter 10 revealed a angel, an angel that appeared before John. He has a foot on land and a foot on sea. His description is similar to the glory of God.

10:1Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, wrapped in a cloud, with a rainbow over his head, and his face was like the sun, and his legs like pillars of fire. 2 He had a little scroll open in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea, and his left foot on the land, 3 and called out with a loud voice, like a lion roaring.

Can this be Jesus? why not. wrapped in cloud - glorious appearance. Fire and lion.

Why then this angel appear to John in this interlude and ask John to eat the scroll in His hand?

God has poured out His wrath from the 6 trumpets, He wanted to give mankind a pause, a chance to come back.

He has revealation and words to proclaim - v6 that there would be no more delay

John eat the scroll, which represent the words, sweet and bitter. He obeyed and literally like Ezekiel take in the word.

God stop the wrath in this interlude, the great angel appear (Jesus appear). What are you to do?
The angle physiscally appeared to be in power and in dominion on land and in sea.

The interlude showed God mercy, but how are we accepting it?
The word was given and how are we taking it. It was delivered by the angel, and yet why me to eat that scroll that will turn bitter in my stomach!

No more delay- the 6th trumpets was blown, the 7th coming. The word was given, and God said in verse 6 - let there be no delay.

Even in the midst of wrath, will the words that is sweeter thatn honey be accepted? We who knew Christ, see his glory, will we not accept His word which offers the salvation to the wrath that the world has seen.

I who has the word, should not be keeping it for myself. The interlude gave the chance for the word to be given. I pray that as God show and as God give the divine appointment, let the word be deleivered without delay.
