Provs 3
9 Honor the Lord with your wealth
and with the firstfruits of all your produce;
10 then your barns will be filled with plenty,
and your vats will be bursting with wine.
11 My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline
or be weary of his reproof,
12 for the Lord reproves him whom he loves,
as a father the son in whom he delights.
What a wonderful promises! It may, however, to some see that our God is one that demands good things for good blessings. That is if you honour your Lord with your wealth, firstfruit, then..
But if we read v11 and v12, it is not that if you do not honour the Lord with your wealth and firsfruit, then come the Lord discipline.
The Lord will reproof, but not because of what your transaction is, but the Lord is interested in our overall being.
He is interested in our wealth, our firsfruit, what we do, who we are - v12 as a father to his son, in whom the father delights.
Many of us hate to give away our wealth, and many of us hate to be discipline. It is about we. But being God centered, our wealth, our being,is about God, the Lord.
Isn't not good to give unto the Lord, and submit unto Him.
I took them positively, give to the Lord because that is acknowledging Him. Moreover, it is the Lord who bless and what more, then 10 then your barns will be filled with plenty,
and your vats will be bursting with wine.
The Lord is the God who is interested in our all. I live my life for Him.

Proverbs 3
3:1 My son, do not forget my teaching,
but let your heart keep my commandments,
2 for length of days and years of life
and peace they will add to you.
Proverbs 3 start off with a reminder, as a father reminds a son. God the Father reminding us. What teaching? What commandments?
It seems that I do not have any impression that I have forgotten all of them?
As simply as - have I come near to God today?
3 Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you;
bind them around your neck;
write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 So you will find favor and good success [1]
in the sight of God and man.
The key verbs are forsake, bind, write, so that you will find favour.
As simply as, have I kept God in mind and near me?
The giver of the teachings, the commandments, the steadfast love, the faithfulness.. The back to basic - have I come near to God today and each day?

v6 6 For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;
How does the Lord gives wisdom? He speaks to us though speech. through actions and through the words.
The application is the frequency that we engage God and know, that we seek the Lord and know , know that the Lord is speaking..
By theory, these are the benefits of the words, the wisodm, the understanding, the knowledge.
v7 shield to those who walk in integrity
v8 guarding the paths of justice
v8 watching over the way of his saints
v9 understand righteousness and justice
and equity, every good path
v12 delivering you from the way of evil
v12 deliver from men of perverted speech
v16 delivered from the forbidden [1] woman
v16 deliver from the adulteress [2] with her smooth words
How can these take place, it must begin with the words, the wisdom, the understanding and the knowledge that sinks into the heart and become part of you, else the fruits are just a head knowledge.
Lord, forgive me, let me sink the words into my heart. Let me know and fear you for the consequences, so that the wisdom will translate to understanding and knowledge of you. Amen
