Daniel 1
v8: But Daniel resolved that he would not defile himself with the king's food, or with the wine that he drank.
v21: And Daniel was there until the first year of King Cyrus.
It is a job that Daniel do not choose to take up. He has no choice but Daniel resolved that he will do what is right before his God.
He was away in this foreign land, doing this pagan job, including forced to condone many practices that he is not used to or "not right" before his God. Daniel see this as a God assigned job and he did it for 70 years.
In the first year of Cyrus, the Jews were allowed to go back to Jerusalem. Nehemiah went back, so was Ezra. But Daniel did not and according Daniel died in a foreign land.
How do I take my job and what was my God assigned role in this world that is "not right" before God?
It has been some time that I have tangent moving away from God. I am not sure of any resolution that I will keep the remaining 30 years of my life like Daniel to resolve doing the rights before God.
I start today as a journal, later continue to pray, seek God and for my family.
