Psa 147:10 His delight is not in the strength of the horse, nor his pleasure in the legs of a man,11 but the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear him,in those who hope in his steadfast love.

Let this be a prayer, that my trust and strength be in the Lord.

27 Dec 2007

The year 2007 will soon be over. The Lord has watched over me.

I believe 2008 will be a year of transition. I pray for this coming and I will claim His promise that this family will all soar with you. Lead us to a higher ground.

Indeed, as Rachael pray for this family, I will like to echo them too.

I pray especially for Rachael, that as you have shown her your faithfulness, in guiding her through her studies and now landing her in a position of tutoring in a local university. Contiune, to bless her in her local communities and bless her work, so that your glory may shine upon her and that people around her ma know that you are her God.

Josef needs alot of guidance and discipline. I pray that as parent you help us and even as both of us so desire to have th best for Josef, I pray that God, you will be the one that will encourage him, that he will have the ability for quick understanding of his school works and a willing spirit to attain knowledge. On top, let Josef, have a strong desire to have you, to read and to get close to you. Let me, be his guide and show him the way to a closer relationship with you.

But of course, how can I lead when I have not been there. Therefore, let me have the spiritual discipline myself, a desire to read your words, pray and worship.

Lord, I pray that you bless my work in forex. Let me have the wisdom and the knowledge in this trade. Let it be and let the profits be able to form a good stable montly income for this family. Bless the time, bless the material gain, and let them be use for your kingdom. I pray against greed, against pride and against a desire for power, status and recognition. Let me be humble and know that it is you who have bless my hands.

Psa 146: 3 Put not your trust in princes,in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation.4 When his breath departs, he returns to the earth;on that very day his plans perish.
5 Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God,

Lastly, I pray for my father, that you will break and yolk him, that his stubbornness be no more and that he can know you as his Lord and saviour. Let him be more willing to spend time socialize with others. Amen

Psa 142:1
With my voice I cry out to the Lord;with my voice I plead for mercy to the Lord.

Many of us depend on strength that is our own. Rarely do we need God.

This verse, to me is not a verse of weakness, but of a dependence on God. The ackmowledgement of Him shows a relationship we have with Him and a desire to have Him in our lifes.

My weakness is made string in Him. In the secular world, responsibility comes with more stress. But with God as my CEO, He will be the one that directs. I take the order and relinish the control, the responsibility and the stress.

As I watch "Warlords", I too realise that I am not made for corporate laddar. My intention to leave is also to remove the stress and the people politics. Therefore, my Lord, I cry out to you and I plead to you. Lead me and take me, so that I will go and be directed in paths you have intended for me.

Zephaniah 1-3

The boos, which refer to the punishment God mentioned and intended in Zephaniah, are full of them. I picked up the wows.

Zep 2:3 Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land, who do his just commands; seek righteousness; seek humility;perhaps you may be hiddenon the day of the anger of the Lord.

This verse stood what after a long list of intended punishments. It gives a breather, a small if that should the people seek Him, then prehaps. Our drought may be long, but the Lord has not forgotten us and the main reasons is that we are too caught up with our own strength fighting against the misfortune and foget to seek God.

2:7 7 The seacoast shall become the possessionof the remnant of the house of Judah,on which they shall graze, and in the houses of Ashkelonthey shall lie down at evening. For the Lord their God will be mindful of them and restore their fortunes.

This verse talked about remnant and that God will be mindful. God do not forget, He will also remember His promise. In our caught up with life, we foget God and go towards our own ways. It is not that God has forgotten the good promise He has for us, but we choose to get them in our own effort. Come back to God. Remnants refered to those that God has specially chosen, so that no matter what, He will use them to fufil the promise He has for mankind. Be that remnant and like the song goes, God searches to and fro looking for those who will interceeds ..

Lastly chpater 3:14-20 is about joy and restoration to Israel. So it is not all so dull and curses, but the long lasting intention for God is still about restoration with Him.

My promise from God, which I want to claim today is from Psalm 138:7-8
7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life;you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand delivers me.8 The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me;your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.Do not forsake the work of your hands.

Even as I prepare my move, I need to stick close with God. Continue, Lord, as I pray and seek, that I will enjoy my time reading your word and seeking you.

Habakkuk agains like the previous books, go on and on about the rage that God was going to inflict on the people.

The stubborn nature of men, for so many generations and for so many prophets cautioned the poeple.

But for me who read them, day after days, on the same subject, frankly became immune with the nagging. The event happen long time ago, it does not affect my people, yes, be faithful to God and yes so that His rage and His punishment will not be melt out. I know, I know.

Revelation, again talked about punishment, Psalm taked about remembering the time in Zion when the poeple was in Babylon. The same thing!

I prayer, and yes even though we know, we still act in rebellion. That is why the reminder. Repentence is therefore about the heart. The fear of punishment wont last that long. The desire to go back to our own self and comfort zone is such a powerful grip.

Let me be reminded, that my time and my stay on earth is finite. It is not with sacrifice that God needs, it is not the works. But an obedient heart and a steadfast love for God. The distraction of the world is simple too much and they catch our attention than the importance of being with God. I pray that as I discipline myself to seek God through His word each day, I pray that I will be able to seek Him. Let my heart be in tune with Him and be able to hear from Him.

Psa 128

Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his ways.

What is fear and what is walk? These are two actions, conditioned for the belssings of God.

When John in Revelation 1:17 saw the Lord, he fell at his feet as though dead. Is that fear? To me yes, that fear make you afraid and when you are afraid, you will think twice doing the things ought not to do. God has given us a list of commands, from His words, and the work of the Holy Spirit, who is in us, to prompt us what to do and what not to do. The problem with a lot of us, is that we don't fear the God. He is a friend to us, a loving and forgiving Father. Be afraid and be very fearful, God hate sins and there is no way we can come through the Father. Do the right things. Walk correctly.

Walks in his ways, provide the solution. It showed us the ways we should walk. Yes though we have Jesus, the answer, the bridge to the Father. Jesus showed us the ways.

Therefore, it is fear and our walk. Remember, the rightoeus man has the blessings from God.

1 John 2:
15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. 17 And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

Everyone needs to work and that translates to food and a shelter over our head.
But materials things get more, we need a car for transport, computer games, communications, travel, hobbies, power and status.

Surprising, these things cannot last. Food gets rotten, car get rusty, power and status pass off as you age. BUT money, which orginal use to facilitate transaction get physical. Now you feel them in notes and in coins and in numbers that appear in your bank account. As if money cannot last, now they are like commodities, and create a desire to have them.

Money, however are meant to facilitate materials needs and fuilfiment of dreams for the higher intent of our own personal achievement or that of a Godly purposes. Having money is OK, but if money is horde to statisfy a desire - a desire for the flesh (good to feel them, a desire for the eyes, - good to have the numbers in our account and a desire in prides - I have them. These all fall short and 1 John 2 says - If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

I have to caution myself. I pray, even as I am reminded and reminded again about having them - not for a Godly intent, but fall into a desire to have them for the pleasures of the flesh, the eyes and pride.

Let me not be so rich that I forget you and let me not be poor that I do worng things against your name.

27 Nov - Daniel 4; 2 Peter 1; Psalm 119:97-112; Proverbs 28:17-18

The great king was humbled. King Nebuchadnezzar fell down on his knees to achknowlegded God! To me this was a great story. Have you pray and pray for someone and yet has no results? daniel in his believe in God, trust God and gain the trust of the king. He interpreted the dream for the king, BUT it was God who did the work of submitting King Nebuchadnezzar and eventually brought him down and up again. Amazing to read how King Nebuchadnezzar praise the Lord our God.

Therefore, it was not our strength nor our wisdom, like Daniel said, but it was the God. Give glory to Him, for our answered prayers was the work of our God.

I remembered I pray for rain and it rain, I pray for car park lot and it was given. The witness they bear is for and so that His glory, so that others may know and know that there is a God. A great God.

I pray that in your own ways, allow in the same way for my father to acknowlege you as his saviour. Such a proud king, you can brought down, how then is the stuborness of my father? I pray that you melt and soften his heart. Yield him and yield him so that he may know that and knowledge that you are God. Amen.

20 Nov - Ezekiel 40:28-41:26; James 4; Psalm 118:19-29; Proverbs 28:3-5

Psa 118:28 You are my God, and I will give thanks to you;you are my God; I will extol you.29 Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;for his steadfast love endures forever!

Little children when they are frightened, they run back to their parent or their caregiver. We are like lamb, how often do we treat God as someone we trust or as just God. It is so nice to be in is presence. I am tired at times and really feel the need for a breakthrough, a breakout.

Lord I pray for the decisions, that whatever my move, you are my God. The only one I will trust, each day. The one that I will extol and give thanks. You are good and your love endures forever!

18 Nov 2007

18 Nov - Ezekiel 37-38; James 1:19-2:17; Psalm 117; Proverbs 28:1

James talked about faith and work. I remembered the story about the thief handing besides Jesus asking Jesus to remember him. And Jesus said that today he will be with him in paradise. There was nothing he can do as he was hang on the cross. It was therefore his faith and his faith alone that brought salvation. There was no works he can do to gain salvation. So what works?

1:22 be doers of the word.
The first piece of actions is our speech. 1:19 be slow to speak and slow to anger and 1:21 compares these ill actions as filthiness and rampant wickedness. Watch them closely.

The second piece of actions is our actions - how we view others and how we show partiality.

God knows that we cannot be completely and without any wrong doings by obeying the laws. For by one wrong actions we became a transgressor of the law (2:11). Therefore we need mercy. Jesus is God mercy for us.

So by our believe in Jesus, is in the same way the thief have faith in Jesus, we have salvation. It is the mercy of God that we need not to go through judgement. Therefore in the same way do not judge. For judgment is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy (2:13).

How then to show mercy? - be a doers of the words. 2:1 show no partiality as you hold the faith in our Lord and 1:26 bridle your tongue.

The tongue has great influence, our failur to control it results in speech not desire to be spoken and our anger as a consequences of both speech and actions caused us to fall into transgressor of the law.

Remember me, Lord. I pray for peace in my household. I pray that you may release peace and remove anger, judgement from my household. I pray for mercy to be shown to my father that he may know you as his saviour.

I pray for myself, that since you have shown mercy by simple putting faith in you, now let me in return be the doers of your words, so that others may also expericence this mercy. Let me be slow to speak, slow to anger and show no partiality nor judgement of others. Let my actions display your mercy for in 2:13 - Mercy truimphs over judgement. Least that I may bring someone to you and not to stop them from knowing you. Amen.

17 Nov 2007

17 Nov - Ezekiel 35-36; James 1:1-18; Psalm 116; Proverbs 27:23-27

The subject mentioned in James is about our faith. How shaken will be our relationship with God despite bad time and in good times? In both situation, our faith in God will weaver.

But first why is the need to test our faith? God examines our heart - He knew us, so there is no need for Him to test us to check whether we can pass the faith test. On the contrary, it is God who permits these test, for by going through, we check our balance, we check our stability and we deepen our relationship with God. I am talking about both good and bad times. For in good time we forget God and in bad time, we blame God. v2 says - Count it all joy and v4 answer why the need for such test - that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

In time of testing and trial - remember God is the answer, the given solution. v5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach. Yes indeed, some of us will try to go through bad times with our strength and should a solution be found - tends to forget that it is God. Similar, during good times, we forget that it is the blessings of God and tends to 'enjoy' life without a need for God.

like a flower of the grass [5] he will pass away. 11 For the sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beauty perishes. So also will the rich man fade away in the midst of his pursuits. Therefore James said - let not only the rich, but the lowly.

James 1: 13-15 mentioned about temptation by God - under trial of or faith (especially during bad times) - we tend to put blame that God is tempting us.

Like wise in v16-17, James mentioned about good gifts tht comes from God (especially during good times) we tend to forget that these are from God.

Finally..
12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life

14 Nov 2007

14 Nov - Ezekiel 29-30; Hebrews 11:32-12:13; Psalm 112; Proverbs 27:17

Heb 11 talks about faith.

What then is faith? The hope in things not seen (v1). Is it then a belief? No. Our faith is put in the object of Faith. That is the hope in the object of faith. It cannot be a blank belief or a hope in nothing. The basis of our hope is place or "gambled" based on certain object we believe, in that object will bring about the fulfilment of the things we hope in.

Heb 12: 1 "Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith". All that was said about the people and their faith, was in the hope and believe and through the promises of God, even though some did not receive what was promised (11:39)

What then is the application and practical way in excersing our faith? It is for discipline that you have to endure. (12:7). Discipline, the strict order and process through which one become better. Likewise, our faith grow through a process of discipline. That is as we are tested in various situation, do not grow weary, continue to place hope in the author of our faith - Jesus. As we do so, faith grow.

12:12 12 Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, 13 and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed.

What faith does is in v12, it strengthen us, it make straight our paths and healed us. Why? Jesus is the answer again. The perfector of our faith. Jesus endured through the process of discipline and overcome sins. So in the same way, we can put our faith in Jesus, whom we know we can go through toughness.

Stop being negative, weak or give up. Put faith in Jesus, the hope in things that God promises us.

13 Nov 2007

13 Nov - Ezekiel 27-28; Hebrews 11:17-31; Psalm 111; Proverbs 27:15-16

Psa 111
v1 Praise the Lord
v10 His praise endures forever

But v10 preceeds by the famous verse "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;all those who practice it have a good understanding"

So why praise a Lord that you fear? Of course, because of wisdom? What then has fearing the Lord do with wisdom?

How can he who has not begun correctly, finish correctly? Whoever started out on a wrong path from the beginning must turn back and must take-up the correct beginning, i.e., he must tread with his feet on the correct path. He who does not have the fear of God cannot have the love for God. What are we talking about? He who has no fear of God has no faith in God.

What so fearful about God? Not fear but awed by the works He does and did.
v2 Great are the works

The Expression of Priase
Psa 111: exclaimed the thanks giving, the praise for God. It was expressed with the whole heart, in the company of the upright and in the congregation.

The Description for the reasons of praise
v2 to v3 decribes the reasons for priase for thanksgiving.

Why we need to praise Him
v4-6 The works He did was for us - gracious and merciful, He provides, He gives them the inheritence.

The God of praise
v7-9 describes the God and His work
The works of his hands are faithful and just.. trustworthy.. upright, forever..

In summary, great and splendid are the works of God. These wonderous work is shown to us, though His provisions and His covenant. His works are faithful and just. Therefore praise Him and give thanks. Lastly, be awed by God for all He did for us (v9, Holy and awesome is His name), put faith in God and therefore fear Him (v5 He provides food for those who fear Him).

12 Nov 2007

12 Nov - Ezekiel 24-26; Hebrews 11:1-16; Psalm 110; Proverbs 27:14

Heb talked about faith. Two important principles.
1. 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
2. 6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

God - the alpha and the beginings. It is the faith that we have we understand that the universe was created by the word of God. That is a full stop and no more argument of who created God. He is the ALPHA! Nothing comes before alpha.

Principle one points to the promises of God. He is the author of faith. He bless us with promises and with great assurance of a salvation plan in Jesus. Have we reached there yet - no. It is not possible to be there yet and therefore we need faith, the assurance that we will get there. Jesus said - believe Him who sent me. Just believe.

But what make us trust in this God. God is the omega. The end. He knew the end. Finish well in Him. That is why he called us to put the hope in Him. We have not reached the end, but He knew the end - therefore faith called us to put hope and be convicted for God will and promise the good end for us.

How can we gain this faith? Principle 2. "for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him."

We have believe - that is already the first step. Faith grew as we draw near to God. As we draw near, we believe, we receive as we seek and that is how our faith grew. Heb talked about the examples. Abraham was called - believe and God bless. He saw that God began to fulfil His promise through Issac and faith grew, though he died without having seen his decendants as numberous as the sand.

Believe - hope and trust, faith grows!

5 Nov 2007

5 Nov - Ezekiel 12:1-14:11; Hebrews 7:1-17; Psalm 105:37-45; Proverbs 27:3

A lot of repeated "may know that I am the Lord"

Why is it so important for the Lord to have His people know that He is God? To an extend, He came with destruction to humble the people and destroy the evil in them, so that the renmants may know that He is God? 12:16 But I will let a few of them escape from the sword, from famine and pestilence, that they may declare all their abominations among the nations where they go, and may know that I am the Lord.”

Choose, yes as Gentile we have a choice. We are not chosen to be His people, so we need not to go through such destruction as mentioned in Ezekiel.

What then do we choose to live our life and it will be one that is filled with lust, pride and power. Good for some, but utlimately, an emptiness. A purpose driven life is because of a driven purpose we have in Jesus.

Because of His love and God great intention, He brought about these destruction. Do we then want to be part of His great intention? Choose.

I pray that pride, money and lust will not filled me. The success that I have in forex is because of God. The wealth that I created is because of His blessings. Therefore, that not my heart be proud that I forget the Lord, my God.

I pray that I will too treasure what I have now - my family and this include my father, to whom I pray for his salvation.

2 Nov 2007

2 Nov - Heb 4:1-16

Rest is the key message. Why is rest so important that as part of the 10 commandments, God ask us to observe the Sabbath?

People talk about early retirement, about how stressful in their work and hope to get out of it. Most people work because they need to work and failed to enjoy the work. They long for a break, a rest.

Heb 4:11 “Let us therefore strive to enter that rest”

God promised Mosses that rest – enter the Promise land – a land filled with milk and honey, but Heb 3:18 “that they would not enter his rest .. because of disobedience and v19 “that they were unable to enter because of unbelief”

Do we not want that rest? Most do want rest but unless you don’t care and don’t want that rest. I pray for my earthly father. Yes he has worked hard, he saved and raised up 3 children singled handled after my mother passed away when I was 14. It has been more than 2 decades. He has retired, but and sadden to say, he has no rest – he suffered a heart attack and a stroke and need a by-pass. Yes no further relapses, but still not rest. He walked with a limp and now has cancer. Its so sad – no rest.

All of us desire and dreams of the day when work is a pleasure or at least not a stressful one. That is work when we want to and not because we have to. Is that rest? NO, the real rest come in believe and obedience. My father case is an example.

The real rest comes through Jesus. Read Heb 4:12-16. In many way we will fail God in disobedience, that same sort disobedience (Heb 4:11) that render Mosses and his people the failure to enter into rest.

Because the word of God (Heb 4:12) and since we have a great high priest (Heb 4:14), Jesus, let us then with confidence (Heb 4:16), and that is believe (believe in Jesus –He is that High priest) and in obedience to the words, draw near to the throne of grace that we may receive grace and mercy to help in time of need.

We cannot escape natural disasters, illness and others “misfortunes” and that is the reason we need Jesus. I him we will find that rest. Solomon in his wisdom said in proverbs – add years of peace to your life. More years to life is not a blessing, for without peace, that is suffering.

Yes, we work and we dreamt of retirement. Good. The real rest than come in how we are entering into that retirement. Retirement is not an end to work and work is not all bad. Entering the promise land, does not means an end to work. That unless we act in obedience and in believe, we cannot enter that rest. Joshua did enter the land, not still no rest.

Therefore, I pray that the real act is not about stopping work and retire in peace, but the process of everyday and every week, be able to enter into rest in Christ Jesus.
Physically, mentally and spiritually, let us take our rest and it is a desire from God for us to have that rest.

Eze 1:1-3:15; Heb 3:1-19

Both the OT and NT spoke about the stubbornness of the heart.

Ezekiel began with a description of the spirit of God. They are full of glory, though made up of 4 creatures, they moved in synchronization and in unity in direction.

The heart of man – is always for himself. Ezekiel described the Israelites as someone who has a iron forehead – hard for anything (God’s word) to penetrate – stubborn. Eze 2:8 Hear what I say to you. Be not rebellious like that rebellious house.

Ask then about ourselves – the pride and confidence in ourselves points us away from God. I pray that God will continue to take the center stage of my life. Indeed, let not the dependency on what I know, but what is right in God. I pray for an intimate relationship with Him and pray that this relationship will grow. The words speak, but I have not act – pure disobedience!

Heb 3:8 “Today if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in rebellion”

Yes, I have a request to God – should I move out next year. I know God will bring me out (like Egypt) but will I die in the wilderness in disobedience? Therefore, I pray that during this time, I will learn about obedience, putting your voice and your words seriously, least that I choose to believe in my own strength and rebel against you and forget about your blessings. Then judgment will come and that will see my fall. Let me therefore learn and not to willfully act in any disobedience.

Psalm 103

v1: Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me,bless his holy name!

Why bless the Lord, why bless his holy name? In most prayer, we asked God to bless us, but not this Psalm.

2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits,3 who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases,4 who redeems your life from the pit,who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,5 who satisfies you with goodso that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

Why? Because God has bless us first - his benefits, he forgives, he heals and he redeem, his love and mercy ...

Yes, we know that, BUT when was the last time we bless the Lord our God. Giving thanks is one thing, but what is blessing Him all about?

When God bless - it may means God gives you - give you the things you desire, God restore..

So in the same way, what do we bless God with? Are all things His? No way we can give material things to God - it is then our worship. A mirror after His heart -

v6The Lord works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed.7 He made known his ways to Moses, his acts to the people of Israel.8 The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.9 He will not always chide, nor will he keep his anger forever.10 He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities.

This is our God. And the best part is
11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him;12 as far as the east is from the west,so far does he remove our transgressions from us.

Isn't that wonderful? So whay should we not give and honour our God - bless Him!

30 Oct - Psalm 102:1-28

Man like us pass away too fast, in the presence of our God. When the Psalmist cried out v2 "Incline your ear to me, answer me speedily in the day I call" he meant it as men just pass away like smoke (v3) and wither away like grass (v11)

But the Lord O God are enthroned forever, and you are remembered (v12)

What then is the big contrast about? What has that do with the prayer? In fact the Psalm goes on to mentioned about v28 the children of your servants shall dwell secure, their offspring shall be established before you.

Yes in deed, fast we are wasting time fast. god has the time, He knew His intention and he wanted this intention to be fulfiled in us, but are we bothered.. we are losing time. We only remembered God in time of need and in trouble, yet this great God is remenbered forever. His intend is to have or dwelling secure and not for us when we pass away, but remain for the generations to come.

I pray that for myself, that I will seek God earnestly, leave somthing for ourselves and our children in God

23 Oct - Jeremiah 42:1-44:23; 2 Timothy 2:1-21; Psalms 92-93; Proverbs 26:3-5

Jer 44:8 Why do you provoke me to anger with the works of your hands, making offerings to other gods in the land of Egypt where you have come to live, so that you may be cut off and become a curse and a taunt among all the nations of the earth? 9 Have you forgotten the evil of your fathers, the evil of the kings of Judah, the evil of their [1] wives, your own evil, and the evil of your wives, which they committed in the land of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem? 10 They have not humbled themselves even to this day, nor have they feared, nor walked in my law and my statutes that I set before you and before your fathers.

Can you sense the anger that boils in God? Mercy and grace became no more and anger overcome a God that is slow to anger. The people asked for a word and promised that they would obey. But they did not, again and again. That was the last straw. Most of the people has been exile to Babylon, and these were the remnant left, surely God would not destroy. Their disobedence and their stubborn heart caused their downfall.

Am I like them? Do you want to be like them? Yes we have the blood of Jesus that blanketed us - but this is no warrant for us to sins. Its not only the sins, but a persistent and constant refusal to obey. OBEY - heeding and doing all that God commanded! I pray for submission and repent on all the persistent wrong things that grasp me. Obey and be freed, in Jesus' name I pray.

In the NT, 2 Tim 2:But the word of God is not bound! As we read and sometimes like Paul wrote, we argue on the words, on its interpretation and allow each other to challenge the meaning. v14 not to quarrel about words, which does no good, but only ruins the hearers.

It is not the words that we should approach, but the God of the word. The message is in the words, but seek the giver of the words. The intention is to make the word go through and reach out such that God intention can be make known.

Psalm 92:1 It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
to sing praises to your name, O Most High;
2 to declare your steadfast love in the morning,
and your faithfulness by night,
3 to the music of the lute and the harp,
to the melody of the lyre.
4 For you, O Lord, have made me glad by your work;
at the works of your hands I sing for joy.

For a simple reason, why are we not praising God? Is there no work that God has bless you? The fact that I can type now, is enough for me to praise Him and give thanks to Him.

22 Oct 2007

22 Oct - Jeremiah 39-41; 2 Timothy 1; Psalms 90-91; Proverbs 26:1-2

In the OT, Jerimiah was imprisoned, not by the enemies but by his own people. When the enemies overtook Jersusalem, they fled Jerimiah and treat him well.

Even the enemies who do not know God, know the times and knew the prophet of God. But not the Jews, Judah!

Such irony, that in lives there are many of such. We may be termed as the children of God, but is our actions or lives really say so. Non belivers of God, may bemore kind than us and do more than us. The world seem to compare by the actions because that they can see. Where we live determines how we lives. If we are truely God children, live our the words of God. I lamented myself that I still have much to go.

Psa 91:1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most Highwill abide in the shadow of the Almighty.2 I will say [11] to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,my God, in whom I trust.”

How often is our desire to seek out the refuge of God. Is it because we have no trouble, or is it because we can handle all things by our own strength?

Psa 91 reminded us that God is the provider - He know we need such. Imagine the time we take refuge, like in ancient time, we have to trust that the high priest do not hand over us to the avenger. That is why the Psalmist say - my God in whom I trust. Say that and mean it!

9 Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place—the Most High, who is my refuge [12]—10 no evil shall be allowed to befall you,no plague come near your tent.

I pray that I will make God my refuge, my dwelling place and in God I trust and that I will be able to shun evil. I pray for my household that my evil will befall and that God will add years and years of peace and prosperity to this household. Amen.

18 Oct 2007

18 Oct - Jeremiah 31:27-32:44; 1 Timothy 3; Psalm 88; Proverbs 25:20-22

Psa 88:14 O Lord, why do you cast my soul away? Why do you hide your face from me?15 Afflicted and close to death from my youth up,I suffer your terrors; I am helpless. [10]16 Your wrath has swept over me;your dreadful assaults destroy me.

Why is the Psalmist calling out to a God that has afflict him with troubles and cause him terrible things?

Least of all he call. Yoke our spirit that pride has no space, let the strength of God be the one that leads us. Troubles do come and life is not just without some of it. Let there be peace, but peace cannot be understood without the environment in turmoil. Moreover, the troubles were stir up not because God wants to test your faith, but it was because of the consequence of sins. Least of all, the psamist acknowledge his worng actions and cry unto God.

Therefore fear God, repent for God judges the heart.

17 Oct 2007

17 Oct - Jeremiah 30:1-31:26; 1 Timothy 2; Psalm 87; Proverbs 25:18-19

A long passage to read for OT. But if you read it in this way - giving "wows "to "good" verse and "ohs" to "bad" verses, you will get the sense of mood. God is coming for a restoration!

Jer 30:11 I will discipline you in just measure, and I will by no means leave you unpunished.

Since earlier times, God cannot stand evil - remember this! But His love, His salvation plan, and though he grieves at what man can do, AND of course, he cannot leave everything in its course to see the grand plan come to past. In fact, generation and after generation - things don't get better, but worst. There are more and more temptation and acts of evil in our modern world. No one can therefore comes to the God the Father - Jesus is the answer.

Israel, is His people. We are called to be His children. As parent, He discipline - but through the process, He showed mercy and love. That is His nature.

Jer 10:18 “Thus says the Lord:Behold, I will restore the fortunes of the tents of Jacoband have compassion on his dwellings;the city shall be rebuilt on its mound, and the palace shall stand where it used to be.19 Out of them shall come songs of thanksgiving, and the voices of those who celebrate.I will multiply them, and they shall not be few;I will make them honored, and they shall not be small.20 Their children shall be as they were of old,and their congregation shall be established before me,and I will punish all who oppress them.21 Their prince shall be one of themselves;their ruler shall come out from their midst;I will make him draw near, and he shall approach me,for who would dare of himself to approach me?declares the Lord.22 And you shall be my people, and I will be your God.”

Our God wants to be with us - but are we ready and hungry for Him? We seem to cast God aside and choose the path of destruction and until we can bear it no more - we fall back on God. Why must you let God restore? Let Him not take away (because of evil) but let His blessings grow. Let us say to God that You are our God and we are our subject. Can you see that God is always the one who initiate? Why is our heart has no yearning for Him? Check, check.

16 Oct 2007

16 Oct - Jeremiah 28-29; 1 Timothy 1; Psalm 86; Proverbs 25:17

Psa 86 v1-3 showed how David plea for God, the intensity and the yearning with emotions. "Incline your ear, O Lord", "for to you do I cry all the day"
How do we like little children call unto our parents - cry and and pull the parents ears towards us? We have lost the desire to have the Lord to hear us or the desire to have God to speak to us. David knew he must speak to God.

His plea in verse 4 for is to gladen his soul. The Lord is the answer to the joy to our inner most being- not the material that pleases the eye and staisfy the pride.

David know his God. 5 For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you.6 Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer;listen to my plea for grace.7 In the day of my trouble I call upon you,for you answer me.

He knew that the nature of God, good, forgiving, abounding in steadfast love -TO ALL who call upon him. We knew God, is it then by someone who told you about his goodness, his mercy and grace, about his love? Probably yes, but David knew His God, that he knew he need to call upon Him and he knew that God will listen and answer. David knew that this God will hear our cry - only if we cry unto Him - that is we need to know how to come to God with a broken and a contrite spirit.

Is it worth to do so? Can't we solve the problem ourselves? This is the God we worship. The great and mighty God. 8 There is none like you among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like yours.9 All the nations you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name.10 For you are great and do wondrous things;you alone are God.

What a fall back? What a sure foundation that we can depends on! No gods, no works (great and wonderous) can compare with Him. All nation - will come for He is worthy, He alone is God.

Now we know the God we serve, we know we need to come to Him and we know that when we come to Him He will answer us. The next question is how to come to Him so that it is pleasing to Him.

11 Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your truth;unite my heart to fear your name.12 I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever.

By walking in your truth - which is uniting your heart and fear God - fear God is the begining of knowledge. Come with thanksgiving with your heart. Again "heart". God look at the heart. You can cry, to show that you pray, to show that you ask, to show that you are all in emotions, but God look at the heart.

The remaining verses showed the promise of deliverence. Delieverce from death Shoel, deliverce from isolent men in verse 13 and 14.

Again, Psalm 86 go back to give praise to the God who did the delieverence.15 But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.

The Lord will be gracious, will give you the strength, will save, will give you favour, will not be put to shame, will help and will comfort from verse 16 Turn to me and be gracious to me;give your strength to your servant, and save the son of your maidservant.17 Show me a sign of your favor, that those who hate me may see and be put to shamebecause you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.

12 Oct 2007

10 Oct - Jeremiah 14:11-16:15; 1 Thessalonians 2:10-3:13; Psalm 80; Proverbs 25:1-5
11 Oct - Jeremiah 16:16-18:23; 1 Thessalonians 4:1-5:3; Psalm 81; Proverbs 25:6-7
12 Oct - Jeremiah 19-21; 1 Thessalonians 5:4-28; Psalm 82; Proverbs 25:7-10

Jer 16:10 “And when you tell this people all these words, and they say to you, ‘Why has the Lord pronounced all this great evil against us? What is our iniquity? What is the sin that we have committed against the Lord our God?’ 11 then you shall say to them: ‘Because your fathers have forsaken me, declares the Lord, and have gone after other gods and have served and worshiped them, and have forsaken me and have not kept my law, 12 and because you have done worse than your fathers, for behold, every one of you follows his stubborn, evil will, refusing to listen to me. 13 Therefore I will hurl you out of this land into a land that neither you nor your fathers have known, and there you shall serve other gods day and night, for I will show you no favor.’

A colleague asked about the bible concerning a violence God. Jer16:10 spoke the exact questions and v11-13 gave the answer. It showed 2 traits of God. His mercy- slow to adminster judgement and that was why you still have the time to ask that questions, else, even before you can say anything, judgement come. Second is a loving and gracious God. He warned, He reminded us of His faithfulness and question back our stubborness. He only want one thing - that we come back to Him and be His children.

The harseness of words showed God saddness and anger for sins and evil deeds. He wanted the people to know that what they did was not good and please please repent. The same speaks to me - serve God and only Him - shunt evil, seek forgiveness and repent.

Jer 16:21 “Therefore, behold, I will make them know, this once I will make them know my power and my might, and they shall know that my name is the Lord.

Look at this verse not on the judgment, but be awe at the power, the might of this God that we served, that humble Himself to die for us through the blood of Jesus, so that we can be His children and call upon Him as our Lord - that they know my name is the Lord! Awesome!

Jer 17:7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.8 He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”

Contrast this to the earlier verse: 5 Thus says the Lord:“Cursed is the man who trusts in manand makes flesh his strength, [1]whose heart turns away from the Lord.6 He is like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see any good come.He shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness,in an uninhabited salt land.

Desert or green pasture by the stream? You choose. Do not be wilful. Is it not easier to inherit then to toll for your wealth and gains? God want to bless, take it, why can we just take it. Trust not upon our own strength, but choose to depend on His. I pray that even as I see results, let me be reminded to continue and always remember the Lord my God.

Jer 17:21 Thus says the Lord: Take care for the sake of your lives, and do not bear a burden on the Sabbath day or bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem. 22 And do not carry a burden out of your houses on the Sabbath or do any work, but keep the Sabbath day holy, as I commanded your fathers. 23 Yet they did not listen or incline their ear, but stiffened their neck, that they might not hear and receive instruction.

It is not about Sunday, it is not about Friday Sabbath. It is all about a command God intended for us, for the good of the people, the land and the country. It is also about obedience. Yes, work hard, but why slog? Don't we understand that if our God has asked us to rest, and do no work, trust that He will bless that day. By choosing to work on a Sabbath is nothing worng, but like my father who used to drive a taxi and said, who is going to pay for the daily rental? Do we not trust God and why do we choose not to obey. The intention of rest is for long term. Rachael also talk about good health - for without that physical temple - you cannot serve people and God. Use the Sabbath - build the relationship with God, with His people, with your family. Trust and obey God.

Jer 19:5 as reference:
Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I am bringing such disaster upon this place that the ears of everyone who hears of it will tingle. 4 Because the people have forsaken me and have profaned this place by making offerings in it to other gods whom neither they nor their fathers nor the kings of Judah have known; and because they have filled this place with the blood of innocents, 5 and have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons in the fire as burnt offerings to Baal, which I did not command or decree, nor did it come into my mind

Men, so capable of devising plans and such evils, that it did not even come into God's mind! I pray for myself and my family that we will not fall into such evil and provoke such anger in God. The world today is deeply entrenched with such evil, the internet porn, gay activities, various form of so-call self actualization and spiritist movement..Glory, fame and power.. The whole world is what Satan can offer, do we take it. Look beyond and this I pray, seek the purpose of God and dwell closely in His intends. Amen.

9 Oct 2007

9 Oct - Jeremiah 12:1-14:10; 1 Thessalonians 1:1-2:9; Psalm 79; Proverbs 24:30-34

Jer 13:17 But if you will not listen,my soul will weep in secret for your pride;my eyes will weep bitterly and run down with tears, because the Lord's flock has been taken captive.

Pride - let that not overcome you. Let me be humble before you. When will your stubborn heart turn away from evil? Do not wait until the day, when repent is too late and when judgement fall upon the land, just as the way God did to His people. What make you sure that He cannot bless? Remember, He will make back the year of the locust and will soar with you like wings like eagle.

In the NT, 1The 1:2 We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly [3] mentioning you in our prayers, 3 remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. 4 For we know, brothers [4] loved by God, that he has chosen you, 5 because our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction.

Two things I learn - the first being how often have you been praying - praying for your family and in all matters. Give God the first praise of the day and being each day remembering and commit the day to Him

Scecond - the gospel - not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy spirit! How often have you enage the Holy Spirit and submit all things to God and believe the work of the Spirit and through Him, the power that moved all heart and removed problems, giving miracles!

8 Oct 2007

8 Oct -Jeremiah 10-11; Colossians 3:18-4:18; Psalm 78:56-72; Proverbs 24:28-29

Jer 10:10 But the Lord is the true God;he is the living God and the everlasting King.

Jer 11:3 You shall say to them, Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: Cursed be the man who does not hear the words of this covenant

v6 Hear the words of this covenant and do them.

v10 They have turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, who refused to hear my words. They have gone after other gods to serve them.

How many of our relatives are blinded by the idols and their tradition believes that the god they have are made of wood and metal?

But what have we as Christian done - singing praises and praising God only. I thank God for putting this questions about life after death and therefore began a journey of searching and finally found Jesus. Not everyone, their trust has been so deeply rooted in their belief of their idols.

God has called us to be like Jeremiah. Go, go back to your people and tell them about Jesus. Remember Jer 1:6 “Do not say, ‘I am only a youth’;for to all to whom I send you, you shall go,and whatever I command you, you shall speak.8 Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you, declares the Lord.”

Lord, I pray that as you lead me and my family, let it be one that go out strongly for you. Lord, remember my father, my relatives in Singapore and in China.

7 Oct 2007

6 Oct -Jeremiah 6:15-8:7; Colossians 2:8-23; Psalm 78:1-31; Proverbs 24:26
7 Oct - Jeremiah 8:8-9:26; Colossians 3:1-17; Psalm 78:32-55; Proverbs 24:27

How many time must God tell His poeple to come back to Him? Many and the reason so is becasue He loved them.

Jer6:15 open with this accusation: 15 Were they ashamed when they committed abomination? No, they were not at all ashamed;they did not know how to blush.

Of the many acts, this was one of the worst: Jer 7:30 “For the sons of Judah have done evil in my sight, declares the Lord. They have set their detestable things in the house that is called by my name, to defile it. 31 And they have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, which I did not command, nor did it come into my mind.

The end of verse 31, which God did not command nor did it come into my mind! How perverse the people has been, turning 180 degree away from God - practically has no regards for human lives. How can God permit such acts and those who perfrom such remain.

Through His prophets, He reminded them and caution them. Jer 7:13 Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Amend your ways and your deeds, and I will let you dwell in this place.
Jer 7:21 Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: “Add your burnt offerings to your sacrifices, and eat the flesh. 22 For in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, I did not speak to your fathers or command them concerning burnt offerings and sacrifices. 23 But this command I gave them: ‘Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people. And walk in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.’

God wants us to be with Him. He does not fancy our offerings and sacrifices - because all things He has provided and belonged to Him - it is the act - the act of obedience. The act of obedience is about our walk with Him - actions, not by mere saying yes.

We have live in a very comfortable life. Many of the hardship of the olden days no longer exist. God seem not important, because we can control and made good with whatever to make a good life. We depend on our strength. We don't need God. That's rebellion. That sadden Him.

Jer 7:18 The children gather wood, the fathers kindle fire, and the women knead dough, to make cakes for the queen of heaven. And they pour out drink offerings to other gods, to provoke me to anger. 19 Is it I whom they provoke? declares the Lord. Is it not themselves, to their own shame?

Jer 9:23 Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, 24 but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.”

Our actions displeases God, our dependence on ourselves pointed us out of God. And of course, if you contiune to trust in yourselves, then in times of trouble - God will turn a deaf ear. Even though and because of His love, He cares, but how many time we will return.

I am of course of the culprit. I don't need God until my strength fail me. God is my backup and I only use Him as when necessary. Then when troble or problem gone - life is back at my hand.

I pray as I moved out on my own, God let you direct and let you be the one who guide me. I pray that my strength comes from Him. Yes indeed, I do not know how and where, it will be God. Walk in his commands Jer 9:23: ..that he understands and knows me. this I pray

5 Oct 2007

5 Oct - Jeremiah 4:19-6:14; Colossians 1:21-2:7; Psalm 77; Proverbs 24:23-25

Psalm 77: In the days of trouble I seek the Lord.

Interesting Psalm, because the psalm did not have God reply nor God promise of a deliverence to the psalmist in the days of trouble.

When we are anguish and in trouble, do we seek the Lord?
77:1 I cry aloud to God,aloud to God, and he will hear me.2 In the day of my trouble I seek the Lord;

Why? Because he will hear me, because God is sure someone you can depends on, so much so that the psalmist describe God as someone whom who can run to can have that shoulder to cry on.
3 When I remember God, I moan;when I meditate, my spirit faints.

Surprise and surprise, even through the state of moaning.. no mentioned of deliverence. So much so, that the psalmist start to query has God lost his patience and his grace.
7 “Will the Lord spurn forever, and never again be favorable?8 Has his steadfast love forever ceased? Are his promises at an end for all time?9 Has God forgotten to be gracious?Has he in anger shut up his compassion?”

Of course the answer is no, but to a person in the days of trouble, such quietness from God is unberable. To me I consider it a time to test our relationship with God. Are we quick to forget about waiting and depending on God that we start to turn on our own strength or to other god?

The psalmist has a deep relationship with God, within hinself, he fought back, telling himself that no, God is still the great God.
11 I will remember the deeds of the Lord;yes, I will remember your wonders of old.12 I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds.13 Your way, O God, is holy. What god is great like our God?

Where is our faith? The short time of unanswered prayer, deepen our faith with God. Remember the old, remember the time whenGod answer our prayers and remembered the time when God reveal himself. Waiting adds faith and increase faith produces a deeper relationship with God.

We serve a God that will not leave us in times of trouble. So do we seek and do we choose to wait. Psalm 77 ends without getting a promise of any deliverence from God, but anchorsed a deeper understaning and a stronger relationship with the Lord.

4 Oct 2007

4 Oct - Jeremiah 2:31-4:18; Colossians 1:1-20; Psalm 76; Proverbs 24:21-22

Col 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. 17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. 19 For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.

It is indeed Jesus, that all things were created- meaning this is the all, the king, that created everything and everthing belong to him! This is our God. But that is not the intend, because it is in Jesus Christ ad through Him, we have our sins cleanse and permits us to be pleasing to God
again. In Him alone is everything we pocess, in Him alone, give us our retemptive purpose and in Him, we make peace with God.

How much more can we have? So nice to be in Jesus. In Him - the purpose, the meaning, the explanation for everything on earth.

3 Oct 2007

3 Oct - Jeremiah 1:1-2:30; Philippians 4; Psalm 75; Proverbs 24:17-20

Times fly. I recall the gloomy time just about 2 years ago when things did not seem clear in my present job. I felt side lined and pushed aside. I felt that I was going downhill and know not what next..

Determine to find a niche and forget about dependent on someone to apraise you and determine and give you your bonus, increment and promotion, I began doing my own business..

I am writing all these is because as I reflect back and now what I achieved, I give thank to God.

In Jeremiah, God reminded the people about their journey out from Egypt and into the promise land, but the poeple forget and forsake God. It was therefore a reminder for me, that my achievement is because of God and His blessings. Yes now I can speak louder in the company, because I now determine how much my monthly increment. Do not forget God.

Jer 1:4 Hear the word of the Lord, O house of Jacob, and all the clans of the house of Israel. 5 Thus says the Lord:
“What wrong did your fathers find in methat they went far from me,and went after worthlessness, and became worthless?

It is so sad. I can imagine a father crying out to his son, what did I do wrong, my son, what wrong did you find in me, that you need to forsake me?

The Lord provides and the Lord bless, He loved us so much that as a earthly father, He will refuse to let go of his son.

Jer 1:13 for my people have committed two evils:they have forsaken me,the fountain of living waters, and hewed out cisterns for themselves, broken cisterns that can hold no water.

It was not only forsaking God, but actually the worship of other God. These were the two evils mentioned.

Yes, get rich and go after material things, then forget that the ability to make money is from God. Worst still, forsake God and worship money. You cannot served or worship both money and God!

I pray that as God reminded me, I will not forget that it is Him, who has showed the way and it is He who has led and it is He who has provided and it is He who has blessed the work of my hands and it is He the Lord and master of my life.

2 Oct 2007

2 Oct - Isaiah 66; Philippians 3:4-21; Psalm 74; Proverbs 24:15-16

Jerusalem, a city on a hill. The holy city that God choose to dwell. From a far, the people can see this city as they bring offering to the temple in Jerusalem.

Isaiah spoke about this city.
Isa 66:20 And they shall bring all your brothers from all the nations as an offering to the Lord, on horses and in chariots and in litters and on mules and on dromedaries, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, says the Lord, just as the Israelites bring their grain offering in a clean vessel to the house of the Lord.

Isa 66:2But this is the one to whom I will look:he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at my word.

How many of us care so much about His word, fear and trembles at His word? Let alone a spirit of humility and contrite. I definitely not dare to say I am one that God will look. So sad.

Therefore it is not I, but Jesus. God see his son. We all knew that and take Jesus for granted.

I pray and thank God for Jesus and pray that as I read His word - I will fear the Lord. Let my spirit give you praise and thanks.

1 Oct 2007

1 Oct - Isaiah 62:6-65:25; Philippians 2:19-3:4; Psalm 73; Proverbs 24:13-14

Who is the God we served? Is He a fearful God that destroyed? Or is He a loving God who bless?

Fear Him, let us fear the Lord - but not because of what He can and will destroy, but because He wanted to remove the stench and the evil in our life. How many of us will even allow God to do that, or to do a deep cleansing in our life. If God want to remove and destroy them and against our will - He will and can do it.

Isa 62:6You who put the Lord in remembrance, take no rest,7 and give him no rest until he establishes Jerusalem and makes it a praise in the earth.

He want to bless, but the condition is not you must do some work - you must remember the Lord.

Isa 62:8-12 The Promise of BLESSINGS

12 And they shall be called The Holy People,The Redeemed of the Lord;and you shall be called Sought Out,A City Not Forsaken.

Isa 63:1 -6 CLEANSINGS
6 I trampled down the peoples in my anger;I made them drunk in my wrath, and I poured out their lifeblood on the earth.”

Isa 63:7-9 BUT he remember the promise of Blessings
9 In all their affliction he was afflicted, [4]and the angel of his presence saved them;in his love and in his pity he redeemed them;he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.

He wanted to bless, but
Isa 63:10
10 But they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit;

His blessings cannot go forth BUT this time - the Lord remember the promise of blessings
Isa 63:10-14
11 Then he remembered the days of old,

Isa 63:15 - 64:7 He Reminded US of the past and remined us not to go back the same way

Isa 64:8-12 A Prayer of Repent
9 Be not so terribly angry, O Lord, and remember not iniquity forever.

This is our God:
Isa 65:1I said, “Here am I, here am I,”

The Lord call to us, but what He see is people who did evil and forsake the Lord, that make the Lord angry and ready to cleanse, BUT

Isa 65:8 Thus says the Lord:“As the new wine is found in the cluster, and they say, ‘Do not destroy it,for there is a blessing in it,’so I will do for my servants' sake, and not destroy them all.

And this is our good - hate evil But it is because of His mercy he spared us and because He loved us, He did not destroyed us, not because of what we repent, but because of His salvation plan. He bless us ultimately.

Isa 65:17“For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, and the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind.

Such is our God.

Psa 73
23 Nevertheless, I am continually with you;you hold my right hand.24 You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will receive me to glory.25 Whom have I in heaven but you?And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you.26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength [21] of my heart and my portion forever.

Be encourage and dwell each day simply in the presence of our God. Great and mighty is He and great and mighty are the works of His hands. Just simply dwell in Him.

Many of us may be weary and lost in the unclear and fustrated by the environment we are living or working in. It time to take a centering down in the Lord.

Unlike, calling for a time to slow down - which means to ask you to take a short breath it deals with our pace of running and questions our capacity. Centering down in the Lord deals with our lostness and questions our confusions. It offers a compass as we focus on Jesus and helps us catch a vision. Slow down merely offers us a consolation and helps us catch a breath, it will eventually blame the envronement and become a viscious cycle. Centering down examines our inner roots, which is a vital solution and anchors Jesus as Lord. Slow down will seeks to add Jesus to our time and moments that is left.

Therefore, center down in Jesus. We are His people, meant for a purpose and a greater callings. Do not merely pass each day like grass in an open field, take a time off and allow Jesus into our busy schedule and fustrated work day. Make Him the anchor and stop to relocated and again proceed on with our navigation towards the lighthouse He called us to.

28 Sep 2007

28 Sep - Isaiah 54:1-57:13; Ephesians 6; Psalm 70; Proverbs 24:8

Yes I read the bible, but my schedule did not permit me to blog. But I am saying so not because of IDT, but I desire to read, and minutes my time alone with God. The bible is a message from God. I will like to write down that message.

Rachael asked why for this time round, I so desire to go to oversea. I will be going to the states for a week, from 27 Oct to 3 Nov. It is also a chance for me to get away from the hastle of my daily work, and a short get away from Singapore alone to have my own time. Time to be with God too - something like a get away.

I thank you God, that I serve a God not only belong to the Hebrew, but a God whose heart is also for us, the Gentile. I remember the special previleage of the Jews, the blessings that get from God. Must I, a gentile be grafted in, in order to be part of them and belong to the vine of life? Maybe, but how many of us can obey and fulfil the Hebrew Law, unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of God. Therefore Paul is right about saying, it is my faith and we are all justified by faith. But again, that does not give us, the gentile to forsake what the Hebrew did. They have the passover, the many festivals and that is to commermorate and remember the great miracles and events God has encountered with them.

Isa 56:6 “And the foreigners who join themselves to the Lord,to minister to him, to love the name of the Lord, and to be his servants, everyone who keeps the Sabbath and does not profane it,and holds fast my covenant—7 these I will bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer;their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on my altar;for my house shall be called a house of prayerfor all peoples.”8 The Lord God,who gathers the outcasts of Israel, declares,“I will gather yet others to him besides those already gathered.”

I consider it as a previleage, to be able to be accept in such a communion with the Lord Jesus Christ!

26 Sep 2007

26 Sep - Isaiah 48:12-50:11; Ephesians 4:17-32; Psalm 69:1-18; Proverbs 24:5-6

Isa 48:17 “I am the Lord your God,who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go.

Indeed, it is the Lord that I thank. A method that that I used in Forex that give a consistent profits of more than 500 pips per month.

Now, here is the questions - How am I giving back to the Lord? How important is money and how do I intent to use them? Lord, I know what is the model answer. I will seek and even as I plan for the business expansion and roadmap, I wil need you. I pray as I continue to seek you, let my heart be attentive to you that I will leave the business planning and decisions all to you.

Yes, I thank you for leading me to Christian brothers, to partner as my research team. Let this team spur each other to you first, and let the motive and all the growth be unto the Lord.

Even as I call for a first meeting and set the direction, let all plans and intent be to your glory.

Isa 48:12 I am he; I am the first,and I am the last.13 My hand laid the foundation of the earth,and my right hand spread out the heavens;

This is the Lord that call us - the creator of the universe, such a previleage.
This was the hour, 17 Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:

He has called and assemble back His people. Yes, Babylon He has raised, but now it will be no more, the time has reversed and its time to gather the poeple back.

It is not what the poeple has done to deserve the call back, nor it was because of Babylon evil, but the Lord is faithful, our redeemer, in order to fulfil the salvation plan He has for mankind. Such is our God.

What is then we should do? The Lord hate evil. He reminded the people of His commandments, Isa 48:18 Oh that you had paid attention to my commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea;19 your offspring would have been like the sand, and your descendants like its grains;their name would never be cut offor destroyed from before me.”

Chapeter 49 is about a calling - the action and execution for His salvation plan. Can we be the one? Or will we be willing be the one?

Isa 49:6to raise up the tribes of Jacoband to bring back the preserved of Israel;I will make you as a light for the nations, that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”

Such is the calling and what a privileage to be called.

Isa 49:8 Thus says the Lord:“In a time of favor I have answered you;in a day of salvation I have helped you;I will keep you and give youas a covenant to the people,to establish the land,to apportion the desolate heritages,

How many of us need restoration? Not unless we are broken... Not to be so, you may not survive and by then there is no need to talk about restoration. I am sad that many people are so, caught up with their daily activities and trusted in their strength and refuse to come back to God - well not until God break them up. But why why wait for such a time. Come back, come back, for it pain the Lord to see His children fall into prositution and colude in various evil. I pray not for other, my father and also for myself.

Isa 49:15 “Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb?Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you.

Such is the promise and such is the love.

Isa 49:19 “Surely your waste and your desolate placesand your devastated land—surely now you will be too narrow for your inhabitants,

Not only He redeemed, He restored. He will forgive and bring us back to His embrace. The love He showered on us is not only that, He will restored the former glory. Let us be able to say that all riches and all blessing come from Him. He wnated us to know that the restoration is a pure act by God and not by the work of man. Your former glory was destroyed but now your current blessings are from God - Give thanks!

Isa 49:23Then you will know that I am the Lord;

Isa 49:26Then all flesh shall knowthat I am the Lord your Savior, and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.”

Lastly to encourage all of us who put our trust in God
Isa 50:2Is my hand shortened, that it cannot redeem?Or have I no power to deliver? NO

I don't call myself anywhere near perfect - I am worst, how can I stand in front of the Lord, unless He forgives through Jesus Christ. How long will it take me to freed from the bondage of sins - a decision and more decisions to repent from the actions and ways of committing sins against the Lord. I pray for breakthrough..

25 Sep 2007

25 Sep - Isaiah 45:11-48:11; Ephesians 4:1-16; Psalm 68:19-35; Proverbs 24:3-4

Isa 45:21 Was it not I, the Lord? And there is no other god besides me,a righteous God and a Savior;there is none besides me.

Why are there people who still choose not to come in reconcilation with God, who choose and refuse to accept Jesus.

Stuborn and a pure refusal to admit that I am greater than God

24 Sep 2007

24 Sep - Isaiah 43:14-45:10; Ephesians 3; Psalm 68:1-18; Proverbs 24:1-2

Sunday 23rd sermon in Chruch touch me. I have indeed served and know a God who is faithful in keeping His promise. It was not what glory we have done in the past nor it was what we should not have done in the past - He will keep His promise and because He love us - He wnat to work through us and bless us. Let Jesus do the work and let Jesus take the wheel.

Isa 44:6 Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts:“I am the first and I am the last;besides me there is no god.

There is no need to look for another God, because there is no other God that comes before, and there is no need to wait for a better God, because there will be no other God. Yes how wonderful that is - we have a God that create all things and all things was created by Him.

Isa 44 also points out about idols that was make out of the hand of man. The material that make the idol is the same that is good for fuel! I have a good that is so real, so good to me - that speaks and hears and wanted so much to redeem us.

I pray and look forward to the exiciting time that God is going to lead my family to next year. It will be a new area, a new life style. I do not know what, but let my Lord direct and lead. I really do not know how, but I am excited about it. As Jesus lead, and as He prepares my family, I pray that we will be willing to follow and take up the changes and the calling.

I also pray for my father. Lord save his soul. He is going for operation again. I pray for a safe operation. I pray that the Holy Spirit grips him and convicts him, destroy his self and let Jesus take and mould his heart. Change him, change him. Amen.

22 Sep 2007

22 Sep -Isaiah 39:1-41:16; Ephesians 1; Psalm 66; Proverbs 23:25-28

Isa 40:11 He will tend his flock like a shepherd;he will gather the lambs in his arms;he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.

This is our Lord Jesus, the good shepherd. When we are in need, he will provide and tend to our needs, when we are afraid, He will bring us to him, when we are weary, he will carry us. He will leads us to lie besides still refreshing water.

Yes give thanks, give glory. The Lord has indeed bless the business I began in Forex. For the 4th straight month, I have been taking profit of more than 500 pips per month. Glory goes to you and let my heart be filled with thanksgiving to my Lord.

Isa40:26 Lift up your eyes on high and see:

Yes, indeed, my God is never far away, He has revealed Himself and simply, He has beautifully created the sky, clouds, the stars and therefore, let Him be praised everywhere under heavens!

20 Sep 2007

20 Sep - Isaiah 33:13-36:22; Galatians 5:13-26; Psalm 64; Proverbs 23:23

Water taste sweet after a workout and when you are really thristy.

So nice to have what Isa 35:1 The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad;the desert shall rejoice and blossom like the crocus;2 it shall blossom abundantlyand rejoice with joy and singing.

I pray for Rachael, that in her search, she will find a highway in the desert. As you lead, she will find breakthrough.

Isa 35:6For waters break forth in the wilderness,and streams in the desert;7 the burning sand shall become a pool,and the thirsty ground springs of water;

Lord, as I journal, I pray and claim your promise. Yes indeed, the desert will be no more. Months down the road and years on, I will be able to proclaim that it is you who will bring my family to the next height.

I am enjoying this transition period. Yes of course, doing my own business has its own stress, but I began to see the fruit. It has been a year plus since I start in forex. I give thanks for the four consecutive months of profits. Glory goes to God and as the business grow, let not conceit grow. The humble begining and its start was like a faith journey that God has bless. It has been four years, how I started my first business and this is the first time I see consistent and steady profit. Lord, even as I share, let you always take the center stage, for me to be reminded that it is you who brought about the success.

19 Sep 2007

19 Sep - Isaiah 30:12-33:12; Galatians 5:1-12; Psalm 63; Proverbs 23:22

My soul longs for you. Remember the dry time of your life.
Yes I do, just slightly more than a decade ago, I have no vision, I am all alone. It was not that aimless, but even the purpose of wealth creation and entertainment does not satisfy my soul.
As I wait and seek, God bless me with a wonderful, wonderful family. He showed me the place and the people.

Yes, I pray and ask, when is the intent for this place and people, that the Lord has for me. How do I start, whom can I contact and where do I start, besides how?

As Isaish spoke about the destruction of the land, I can feel the Lord's heart beat, His sadness as the land was filled with evil and pride and many other gold-plated idols. He wanted the land to be pure and the people live in His promise, without fear or threathen.

Isa 30:15"“In returning [1] and rest you shall be saved;in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.”

He called us again and again to return. When we are out and feel so down, please remember the Lord and His great intent. Seeking the world brings about a temporal happiness.

Isa 30:29 You shall have a song as in the night when a holy feast is kept, and gladness of heart, as when one sets out to the sound of the flute to go to the mountain of the Lord, to the Rock of Israel

Yes, even in the presence of our enemy. Look up and not down, look far and not at what a arm length away.

Isa 33:5 The Lord is exalted, for he dwells on high;he will fill Zion with justice and righteousness,6 and he will be the stability of your times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge;the fear of the Lord is Zion's [7] treasure.

Now therefore let us exalt our God the Lord! That we can always shout fresh shout of joy to Him.

In fact, Lord, I look forward next year - as the Lord leads, set my feet nearer to the intent you have for me. I look forward to the exciting time installed for my family and I.

Lastly, from Psa63
63:1 O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you;my soul thirsts for you;my flesh faints for you,as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.2 So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory.3 Because your steadfast love is better than life,my lips will praise you.4 So I will bless you as long as I live;in your name I will lift up my hands.

18 Sep 2007

18 Sep - Isaiah 28:14-30:11; Galatians 3:23-4:31; Psalm 62; Proverbs 23:19-21

Imagine Isaiah is a movie - you can watch it telling you the same thing again and again. The same evil, reaping the same downfall, the final showdown will be the blessing of Judah. Again and again, Isaiah seemed to be a long winded person, singing the same tune again and agin, yes Egypt will fall, Assysia will fall, Bablyon will fall... But Judan and and those who put their trust in God will find glory. Yes because Israel sin and yes because Judah sin - their glory was taken away. That was because they have became like the people of the land - evil. God hate that!

Well, the point to make is God has no room for evil - purge them out. Isa 29:13“Because this people draw near with their mouth and honor me with their lips, while their hearts are far from me,"
and Isa 29:15 "Ah, you who hide deep from the Lord your counsel, whose deeds are in the dark, and who say, “Who sees us? Who knows us?”

God knows our heart.

17 Sep 07

17 Sep - Isaiah 25:1-28:13; Galatians 3:10-22; Psalm 61; Proverbs 23:17-18

Isa 25 encourage us to look to the greatest of our God.

25:4 For you have been a stronghold to the poor,a stronghold to the needy in his distress,a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat;

26:4 Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.

Indeed, how great is our God!

It is therefore not too difficult to talk about his greatness, but I too know that a lot of people do not bother about this great God - who cares as long as I live a stable and contented life.

The greatest of God has to be personalized. How many of us can say our God is the God of Abraham, Issac and Jabob, the Lord that deliver us out of Egypt - NO, surely no. Then why do we say how great is our God, when we have not witness his greatness?

Look not too far away - the pretty flower, His creation! His greatness may not only come in strength - like that of thunder and storm, but His love for us - so much so that He has showered us with blessing. The very fact that we are alive showed the greatness of God. Wonder what keep us alive?

Josef and I talked about Cain and Abel. We talk about giving the best to God - why? because God first give to us - He gave us Jesus, to pay for our sins so that we can get back to Him. That gratefulness is enough to propel anyone who intent to return gratefulness with material oferring to God. He first bless us. Indeed, pastor was saying revival come also with the revival of the wallet. The best way to show someone your giving is to open up your bank account - which I bet noboby did.

Yes, China, Yunnan. Lord I pray for I do not where to start, what you intend me to do, who to approach and how in whatever. Indeed, if you lead because it is your plan.

16 Sep 2007

16 Sep - Isaiah 22-24; Galatians 2:17-3:9; Psalm 60; Proverbs 23:15-16

Where am I heading? Unless the Lord lead, I will not go. Psa 60:12 With God we shall do valiantly;it is he who will tread down our foes.

Am I heading forward? I want to, but... I am bounded, my feet so tied down.

Yes, I feel so down cast - maybe its good that I stay put, just living day by day - peace till the day the Lord call me home. Probable that will make everyone happy - there is always disruption when there is changes. Cant each one of us do a little more without much grumbling? Cant we do all things without complaining?

Well, Lord you know best. If you want me to stay, then I will stay, if you want me to be passive, then let it be so.. Of these I pray.

15 Sep 2007

15 Sep - Isaiah 19-21; Galatians 2:1-16; Psalm 59; Proverbs 23:13-14

How is it to walk around every day without clothes? Isaiah was called to do so for three years!

Yesterday, the church mentioned about going to mission or be sent out. But I sense the resistence from the DG.

In the same manner, you have to be called for such a heart beat. My heart will always go out for the people in Yunnan. But even as you ask me now, I will not know how to lead a group there.

I pray as God leads and open the way for my family, He will fulfil the plans He has for us.

12 Sep 2007

12 Sep - Isaiah 10-11; 2 Corinthians 12:11-21; Psalm 56; Proverbs 23:6-8

AS I read Isaiah, I saw God love for us, for His poeple, for Israel. He hate evil and so desire to have them purge out of Israel. The people in the land are evil - real evil and had little regards for human lives. God wanted His people to be different.

After a beating, because of His love, He will keep a remant, a remant for Himself. I pray for such a remant and how many of us would God consider a remant in this generation?

He raise enemy up. but and likewise do not be proud to say that it was all our effort. I pray for humility that God will be and always be my source of strength.

Psa 56:10 In God, whose word I praise,in the Lord, whose word I praise,11 in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me?

I pray that it will be y God that I praise, and trust. I do not know how the future will be - but surely and surely it is not going to be ST Kinetics. My goals are being drifted apart and I need to pursue them back and the only way is to get out of it. Lord, I pray, I pray that my business in finance and in other ventures will take flight. I put my trust in you.

11 sep 2007

11 Sep - Isaiah 8-9; 2 Corinthians 12:1-10; Psalm 55; Proverbs 23:4-5

Isaiah has prophesized that an invasion will happened within the next two years. Yet the people were still doing evil - very little regard for human lives, righteousness and God.

Yes I thank God for the blessings He has for Singapore. Such peace and we did not even experience conflict, violence or even rampant crimes. It is hard to imagine, except in movies, where the unrighteous one took bribe for innocent lives and their pocessions, care very little for human lives, the fatherless and the orpans.

Such unjust is not absence and is presence in our neighbouring state and in China, the place my heart longs to. I do not know if I will survive there, but God, you shall be my guide, my righteousness.

Lord, I pray that I will not take you for granted. I have well access to you and the bible. I pray that I will keep that close to me and fill my heart with a desire to keep close to you. I pray for your heart beat, to pray for the unjust, the fatherless and the orphans, the less fortunate in Singapore and in Yunnan.

10 Sep 07

10 Sep - Isaiah 3-7; 2 Corinthians 11:1-33; Psalm 53-54; Proverbs 22:28-29; Proverbs 23:1-3

I seem to lack the discipline to do reading of God's word during weekend. Morning after attending church, I brought my father and sister to my late mother's urn and tablet (its a temple). I did it out of love so that my father know my love for him. Rachael was so sweet to offer the only stalk of sunflower that she brought it for her colleague, to be placed at my mother's urn. Regardless, none of us including my father offer incense to the dead.

When I am back, read a short chapter on Isaiah and Ezra before felling asleep. By then Renna was here for bible study. I thank God for her desire to know the bible. We will be going through the book of Genesis, probably book by book to cover the bible. God help us and through this process, we can learn much more about you.

Pro 23:1 When you sit down to eat with a ruler, observe carefully what [21] is before you,2 and put a knife to your throatif you are given to appetite.3 Do not desire his delicacies, for they are deceptive food.

This is not about discipline, but about know how to relate with people. Our actions tell about ourselves. Rachael was talking about 'yuan hua' similar on how should we relate to people. I pray we can learn much more from the bible.

To be continue.

8 Sep 207

8 Sep - Isaiah 1-2; 2 Corinthians 10; Psalm 52; Proverbs 22:26-27

Isaiah opened with the evil and the disappointment God has for the people of Israel. But nevertheless Isa 1:24 Therefore the Lord declares, the Lord of hosts, the Mighty One of Israel:“Ah, I will get relief from my enemiesand avenge myself on my foes., as well as Isa 1:26 Afterward you shall be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city.

God so loved us, despite our loved for evil and our craving for gold and silver and our dependence on our own strength.

Should I be quick to get out of the evil land and sin no more, or continue to go against the righteousness of God and sins and fall into the temptation of the evil one?

Move on with life, for how much a man is paid and worth is counted in the Lord, not man. Why measure our worth in man. Psa 52:7 “See the man who would not makeGod his refuge, but trusted in the abundance of his richesand sought refuge in his own destruction!”

Yes, things you have roorted so well for a decade, move on and let the plans of God prosper. Let not pride take over you and therefore sin agianst the Lord by the actions that made yourself proud and not God proud.

Move on with little but in the strngth of the Lord, so that when the day He prosper you, you can give thnaks to Him and remembered the goodness and the blessings He has showered upon you.

7 Sep 2007

7 Sep -Song of Solomon 5-8; 2 Corinthians 9; Psalm 51; Proverbs 22:24-25

Psa 51 - Create in me a clean heart.
How can we stand in the presence of God? Expect that we come clean and that our sins are cleanse. Psa 51 also expressed another desire - a desire to come clean in the presence of God. Psa 51:4 "4 Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight,"

I look forward to each new day as I dwell in God. I know that I can put my trust in Him, because He is meriful and faithful.

Rachael ask about how to teach Josef about God and how to have him a intimate relationship with Jesus. Knowledge through God's words set the theological foundation, it will allow us to know who God is and that founded our identification with Him and subsequently our allegiance. A relationship is two way. God has come to us and its then our desire to know Him. Oce we did that, its about setting our priorities, values and purpose in Him. To Josef, he is still too young to understand all these, and the only best way is to see us as parent doing so, setting priorities, values and purpose in the kingdom of God. In all we do, how is Christ rank and when there is a conflict, how it is resolved, when there is a decision to make, how do we choose. These are the actions and application of our knowledge in the words, from knowing who God is and our desire to put the words in actions. Lastly in our internalization, through our services and actions. It is about daily reading, daily walk, daily action, daily service. So much so that it became part of us that we the words and knowledge in Christ can flow out of us easily.

Josef may know God's word through his bible reading, but the next thing is for him to pick up the bible to have his own daily time alone with God.

Well Lord I pray that my children will grow in a deep relationship with you.

Lastly, Lord, I too submit Psa 51 to you that you can create in me a clean heart. All plans and decision can come later - just be still and live in your presence each day.

6 Sep 2007

6 Sep - Song of Solomon 1-4; 2 Corinthians 8:16-24; Psalm 50; Proverbs 22:22-23

WHat has Song of Solomon do with God? That is always my question. As I read four chapters of it, well, to me its still Solomon expression for his bride. That's romatic and that about all.

Well, I was away 5 days with my family in Phuket for a holiday. Song of Solomon just remind me of how God has bless with with this family. The time we spend together at a relax pace.

31 Aug 2007

31 Aug - Job 37-39; 2 Corinthians 4:13-5:10; Psalm 44:9-26; Proverbs 22:13

Jesus, I thank you for dying on the cross for me. It is indeed through this grace that I can come to the Father. Who are we that we should question God, and what do we have to offer God? But because He so loved us, if we are to be left alone - we will died flat! Yes though at times I may still fall and sin, and do unrighteous things, but because of Jesus, I can come to God. Lord thank you and forgive us of our sins and help us that we will always yearn to come back to you and to God and despise the unrighteous things that we always choose to do.

Lord, Rachael and myself is going to have a heavy day. Help us that we may complete the tasks at work and that everything may run in accordance and in speed. We want to remember you. Likse wise, I have to leave my open trade positions to you. Bless Josef in school and bless Deborah safe at home. Amen

30 Aug 2007

30 Aug - Job 34-36; 2 Corinthians 4:1-12; Psalm 44:1-8; Proverbs 22:10-12

Psa 44:1 O God, we have heard with our ears, our fathers have told us,what deeds you performed in their days,in the days of old:

How often do we witness the greatness of God? If we do, how often do we tell them to our children? Indeed, the greatness of God has to be told, so that our children can comprehen this great God and what He has done for the family. Lord I pray that as I journey each day with you, the message and the word, I can share with my children. Groom them, because they are like arrows in our hand of bow.

I enjoyed my family - time together and am looking forward to the getaway in Phuket. Lord help to settle the work I need to do in Singapore. We served a great God, and I will like to take this time in Phuket to give thanks to God and to have time alone with Rachael.

Yes there are many things that can happen to us that may not be plan, just like Job. Even so, Job being righteous also began to justify that he was righteous and all these were unfair. What more can we say? Lord, I need your grace, so many times, I fell and so many times I went astray. Help me back, becuase I am in position to ask for anything.

29 Aug 2007

29 Aug - Job 31-33; 2 Corinthians 3; Psalm 43; Proverbs 22:8-9

Pro22:9 Whoever has a bountiful [17] eye will be blessed, for he shares his bread with the poor.

Consider yourself bless. I do and as I remember the goodness and the many blessings God has showered on me. As I look back, time fly and how over these 20 years, I have strived and managed to start my own business. God bless it. But as the business grow, don't forget to give. I pray for that. The spirit of giving should began now and not wait till I am rich. This I pray and God forgive me.

Job in his final argument spoke about his righteousness. Yes indeed he can claimed them. How many of us could. But as Elihu spoke, this righteousness should come from God, we are a reflection of His glory. No one can clain to be righteous, but for sure, I am no where near Job. Thank you for Jesus, whose blood has washed me clean so that I can be presented in front of God - pure and upright.

Yes indeed, Lord, there are so many in my life that ought to be straightened up. I do not know the future, but I lift them all to you.

Lord bless my family trip to Phuket. I pray for safety and a time of enjoyment with the family members and of course with you. Amen
