10:1 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go in to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the heart of his servants, that I may show these signs of mine among them, 2 and that you may tell in the hearing of your son and of your grandson how I have dealt harshly with the Egyptians and what signs I have done among them, that you may know that I am the Lord.”
How can the Lord hardened heart! Impossible and no wonder my father failed to know God.
Let your heart not be hardened, (but it is not me, but the Lord who did it). Good that I know that and I will not let my heart be hardened. But to my father, I cannot do anything for it is the Lord who hardened his heart. Good that you know that and the more you should plea!
I believe God permits us choices and who are we to pit against the all soverign God. In Mathew 20:13 But he replied to one of them, ‘Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius? We have choices, we choose to believe in Jesus now or later, and of course the rewards is the same, but for those who choose to accept now, we will toil more for the cost of following Christ. Who lose? Your choice.
Looking at God's view, men are all like dust, but so so precious to Him. He cannot force and will always give us the choice. Yes, He may have use the Pharoh, that we may (the salvation plan) see and know that the Lord is God. Did Pharoh lose his life - no, did he see the miracles - yes. Did he choose to believe? His choice.
The same goes to my father. Did I pray? Do Interceed? Do I really want his salvation and feel strongly for lost soul? The journey is for us to know that He is the Lord our God.
Rachael is moving on. Good, Trust God in His provision, live by faith. In the journey, I pray that I will learn and know that the Lord is God.
Isa 40: 28 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God,the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary;his understanding is unsearchable.29 He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.30 Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted;31 but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;they shall mount up with wings like eagles;they shall run and not be weary;they shall walk and not faint.
