Romans 11
v2: Do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he appeals to God against Israel? 3 “Lord, they have killed your prophets, they have demolished your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life.” 4 But what is God's reply to him? “I have kept for myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” 5 So too at the present time there is a remnant, chosen by grace. 6 But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.
We are positioned in our relationship with each other that nobody can replaced. Likewise we are placed in our workplace for a stragetic purpose.
We are chosen for that task, for that relationship and for that position. Therfore we have a role to play. We are to do it well, just like God has chosen Elijah instead of the 7000. We are not to complain, why me and why all these problems. This again is because God can choose any of the 7000 instead of Elijah.
The relationship and the position we are in is our ministry, It is our testimony to others for the works we are doing in His kingdom. He has placed us, chosen and reserved us for that speical envoy.
Our work is not to be taken proudly and neither to be taken lightly. It is by grace that we are who we are in relation with other and we are in that position in workplace because God has a reason to do so. Otherwise, it is by your own merit and for your own purpose. It is by grace and not by works that God has chosen and place us.
Lord, I recognise, my role as a father, as a son, as a husband, as a teacher that I am a leader in my own field for a purpose in you and for your purpose. Be with me, that I may play my role well. Amen

Romans 10
How times flies. It is now the last month of this year. I have moved house this year. Matthias is now 8 months and I have changed job and have settled well in my new work environment. As I looked at my wife and 3 children yesterday and reflecting 20 years ago, so much blessings.
12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. 13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Yes, it is 20 years ago I have made up my mind to acknowledge Christ as my Lord. It takes some time, before I become more daring to acknowledge Him publicly.
It was much later that I learnt to wait on Him and rest in Him.
It is then not so much about doing, but about waiting on Him. The end in mind is about just being in His presence. I have asked for a family and He has given me a beautiful one.
What's next? Wait and allow the Lord to lead to take the 'land' and settle in for rest. Rest in Him.

Romans 9
18 So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills.
22 What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, 23 in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory
Thank you Lord, simple for what you have made me and has provided for me. I come to you today and there is just one thing I want to say, thank you, for all the blessings that I have received - as simple as life and breath.
I will choose to life in your will and allow you to take and mould me to who you want me to be.
I pray and ask for your joy and blessings for my family. I pray that we will know your purposeful life simple in your presence.
Fill me with joy so that I can be a witness for you. Amen.

Romans 8
26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
How much do we excersie the spirit man that is in us? We see and we know and estimate how much can we achieve or how long and what we can pray.
v23 but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.
Do we really does that? No. Not groaning in spirit, and neither waiting eagerly..
25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
Yes we hope for, for all the good stuffs, but not in patience.
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be [8] against us?
So, who is against us that we need God to protect us?
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
So and yes nothing can separate us from God. So..
No wonder our spirit man is not growing inside. I have excercise too much of what I know and what I need of God, so lacking in the perspective of God and failing to interceed for the matters that convern not the physical self or body by the heartbeat of God.
Change me Lord that my heart will be in tune with your spirit. Let there be a groaning and an impatient waiting to see the works of God through the me onto the lives of others. Indeed the promises given to II is real, let us pressed in in prayers for the promises to come to past. Let that hope in the promises be seen.
I knew how much god has provided- food shelter and family. I pray that I can see myself as conquerors and that with God and through Him I can do much much more.
Lord Jesus, keep my spirit man close to your heart. Amen.

Romans 8
v9 Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. 10 But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
If you are going to die, you will look at life at the last moments very differently. As I reflected this on the movie "2012", it is the relationship that matters, not the wealth or the pocession that matters.
As I eat my breakfast today, I give thanks to God for His provision, yes its a simple breakfast, but I can aford it, with a cup of coffee plus another cup of milo, not plain water.
As I looked at my father this morning, the medicine is making him weak again, soon he may lose his strength and no longer can say it is he himself that he can make it.
We are all dead to sin and soon all dead in our physical body because of sin. Wealth and strength will become no more. What is then that I will look forward? My Jesus and my family. These are the people that will be with me not because I am rich or because I am able.
But not all knows Jesus and will die not only to the body but also to the spirit. What is it so worth like my father who yet to know Christ intend to continue not to know Christ because he has himself to depends on?
I pray for my spirit man that I may hear and continue to be sensitive to the spirit of God. I pray for my family that they will choose to be near with Jesus and to those like my father, they may know Jesus. Amen.

Romans 7
24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.
The law forbids this and the law forbids that... when that happen Christainity becomes a religion of don't do this or else and do this so that..
Likewise with my family, it is not about doing but being. I need to get connected with my children through being, the purpose behind the doing.
Like the way I choose to obey the law is because of Christ, not out of a need to.
Lord I pray and ask that you help me to connect my family. To Rachael, allow me to connect the emotions which I have failed to understand. To my children, playing with them and know what they like and are going through. The emotions..
Lord, help me to realease that part of me, there are not always reasons for doing, but just connecting the understanding heart to heart and mind to mind. Teach me Lord. Amen.

Romans 7
4 Likewise, my brothers, you also have died to the law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to him who has been raised from the dead, in order that we may bear fruit for God.
The law requires us to do and abide by it. Its about doing what is right and correct. In Christ, so that you may belong to another and belong to Christ. By it, it is about abiding in Christ. Christ is the vine and we are the branches.
In Christ, it is about not doing, but waiting on Him and do through Christ.
Wow, is this not wonderful. Doing through your own strength and verus not doing but wait on Christ and do through Him! I missed the point by just doing and lament that II has no super natural profits, so lets wait on the Lord, which was the key word from the Lord during that prayer meeting.
The world has only this life to live and we must do and do to achieve what we need to achieve this life. In Christ, it is eternal. Let's take time to wait and allow God in His time to fulfil the achievement through us. This is not about passive, but doing waiting and doing soaking in the Lord, for it is the Lord who will bring about the plans and bring them to past. SO that when the achievement is done, not me by my God who has done it through me.
Jesus, let me wait on you, leaning my ears actively to you and hears your heartbeat so that I may just love you. bless not my hands for the works I want and desire to do, but through me fulfil what you desire to accomplish. It is not about works but about getting the heart right with you. Amen.

I too have worries and anxieties.
But I know my God will see me and supply all my needs. I have little wants, just keeping the family going. Praying and waiting for the breakthrough in II.
What is it to live just in Christ and just live in his promise. v17 But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, 18 and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness.
I pray for breakthrough in peace through Christ, in relationship among the family members and in your provision and in ministry through II.

Romans 5
5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we [1] have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
This was the first song I played with the guitar, learning it by hard to master the chords for two whole weeks.
I have been kept busy, busy with the works of the world. It should have been God's ministry. If it by works then the world will be justified. But because it is not possible to be justified by works, God has to sent His son Jesus to jusfitifed us not through works but by faith.
If it is by faith, then to God, the works are not our justification for our being to be close with God. Our peace through God is through Christ, so how much are we keeping close to that?
I speak for myself, that the works I am doing should be a ministry. I need to know how to wait on the Lord. the world will come and will pass, the tings on this earth will pass. So let me not be worried about the concerns of this world. Rather let my spirit man be lifted up so that I can be in Christ. Let this peace from christ through me.
Lord let me be close to you, not that I want you to bless the works of my hands, but rather, like the way I am determine to play the guitar to master it to worship you. Let me pursue that peace through Christ.
Let there be something and at least one thing that God you want to speak to me and one thing you want me to learn about you today. Let me have grow in statue, in wisdom and in favour with God and man. Amen.

Romans 4
The Promise Realized Through Faith
We had a wonderful time worshipping and fellowship last night for Isaiah Initiative. Indeed I feel so blessed with people who hears from God.
Indeed I am convinced that as leader of II and the head of my household, I should be seeking close with God.
God has promised great things for II and for the family. Now is what next and that what next can only be reveal through waiting on the Lord.
Rom 4:16 That is why it depends on faith, in order that the promise may rest on grace and be guaranteed to all his offspring—not only to the adherent of the law but also to the one who shares the faith of Abraham.
As man, as one with knowledge and talent, I will run the course with my own strength, but will the people that follows run the same way as I am. They may, they may not and I will get frustrated. This is because I have pursuit the promise through the strength of myself.
Instead, if God has promised, He will bring it to pass, and it will be through the generation and the next.
Seek God and allow Him to move the plan that He has promised for you in your life and through the generations. I pray that I will move in and seek God and pray that for any major moves for II, God will reveal to at least 2 or more of the members. Of course I pray for the conduct of the training, is it time yet and when and should we ...
Nevertheless, God forgive me that I have not pressed into seeking you closely each day. Amen.

Romans 3
Is it better to be Jew or a Gentile?
A number of time we ask the similiar question and yet find a unfavourable answer. It is better to be a Jew because they are God chosen people. The Gentiles are not subjected to the law. But depends on how we view it, is it better to be or not to be under the law. Blessings comes first to the Jews then to the Gentiles, judgment also comes first to the Jews then to the Gentiles.
Is it better to stay at home or to go school? This is my boy's recent question. By norm, he should go school. But he is not getting any lessons and accordingly, the class always get scolding from the teacher for being noisy.
such questions is best to answer in what does God say and what does God wants to do in your life? How is the words meets the actual situation of life?
Is there some learning points Josef need to go trough and something God wants to do in his life, besides just lessons and scolding from school? Yes, I pray that God will speaks to him regarding this situation that he may hears and know what are the reasons for going to school and what are the reasons for not going. More importantly in both good and ideal and in bad and not ideal situation, there is something God wants to teach us. To Josef, I pray that he will learn about the unfairness of man judgment, but the fair judgment of God. I pray that he will learn about studying not just for knowledge but going to school to learn about social interactions and community interactions. I pray that he will go school to grow in wisdom, and in favour with man. Amen.

Roman 2:
Again like Roman 1, this chapter starts and end with 'scolding' and rebuking.
To the Jews, you who teaches the law, obey and act rightfully. To the Gentiles, seek doing the rightful things even though you don't have the law.
How to teach? for I am not perfect. How to do? When there are so many things right that need to follow, who am I to teach and who am I to judge?
v6 He will render to each one according to his works: 7 to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; 8 but for those who are self-seeking [1] and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury.
But who by render work can achive glory, honour and immortality and eternal life?
25 For circumcision indeed is of value if you obey the law, but if you break the law, your circumcision becomes uncircumcision.
Even if you render work to the law, you may fail!
Precisely, in Roman 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
Paul has a job, to the Jews, stop acting as if they had the law and therefore has righteousness and salvation. To the Gentiles, stop pretending that because they do not have the law they can do away with excuse of doing righteously.
Where is God? Do we not fear Him, Do we bother about this salvation? Who is Christ to us?
The world do not know Christ, but we do. For us, it is therefore an reaction to Christ kindness not because there is a written law to obey, but we do the righteous acts so that the world may see Christ.
Romans 221 you then who teach others, do you not teach yourself? While you preach against stealing, do you steal? 22 You who say that one must not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples? 23 You who boast in the law dishonor God by breaking the law. 24 For, as it is written, “The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.”
Only 2 basic rules applies - do what to love God and do what is necessary to love man.
Teach me so dear Lord on how so that I may blasphemed your name and teach my children to be so too. Amen.

Roman 1:
As I began this new book from the NT, I ask God to look back in my past, the lessons I can learn so that I can leverage them for the future. The walk I have for covered, so that I can learn from the areas that I have wondered.
22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools
In many areas, I have depent on myself, act in my own ways that have no need for God. Even I have received visions from God, I have act on my own to so call fulfil it. Lord, I want to hear from you now, what is the best way to carry out the mission?
24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity
The other area is lusts, which in the past I have fallen much. Let these not continue to cling on me. Lord I ask and pray that you help me to put away thoughts of lust of the past that they will not have hold over me.
Let the past actions be remove that I will not leave any nail for the devil to have any foothold on. Amen.
As I began this new book from the NT, I ask God to look back in my past, the lessons I can learn so that I can leverage them for the future. The walk I have for covered, so that I can learn from the areas that I have wondered.

2 Kings
Yesterday makes the end of my reading from 2 Kings.
Throughout, God made it important to me to raise the generation for Him. It start well with kings who did right with God, but by the end the whole inheritance of David and Solomon fell to the Babylon.
It is also about His timing and His plan. We knew that the kingdom ends, but as God has promised, His kingdom never ends. God has in His time and plans preserve a remnants for His name sake.
So am I part of His plan or do I want to choose not to? I want of course.
God, forgive my wrong doings. Let me and teach me to bring myself and my family to a God given purpose that we may see your greatness and your faithfulness. We want to inherit the land and possess them. Let the next generations learn how to walk right with you and thus so keep the inheritance.
Stop the wondering, I pray. Let go and learn from the past so that I can get the leverage for the future.
Keep my walk with you close each day and to keep you first each day. Amen

2 Kings 24-25
King Johoiakim rebelled against Babylon and as a result, he was exiled and kept as a prisoner. When he rebelled, god was not with him, and in addition, God sent not only the Chaldeans (Babylon), but also the Syrians, the Moabites and the Ammonites and destroyed Judah.
2 Kings 24:2 And the Lord sent against him bands of the Chaldeans and bands of the Syrians and bands of the Moabites and bands of the Ammonites, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the Lord that he spoke by his servants the prophets.
As I reflect, God I don't want to come to this stage where you are not with me anymore and whatever I do, I will not have your blessings.
I may die tommorrow. But I want to now to live a righteous life before you. I want to live out a purposeful life for you. Not my contribution to the world, but most importantly and firstly, my role as a father and husband.
Help me to set a side each day to communicate and connect with Rachael and my children. Teach me each day that I may have something good about you to share with them.
2 Kings 25: 27 And in the thirty-seventh year of the exile of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, Evil-merodach king of Babylon, in the year that he began to reign, graciously freed [2] Jehoiachin king of Judah from prison. 28 And he spoke kindly to him and gave him a seat above the seats of the kings who were with him in Babylon. 29 So Jehoiachin put off his prison garments. And every day of his life he dined regularly at the king's table, 30 and for his allowance, a regular allowance was given him by the king, according to his daily needs, as long as he lived.
Live in the Lord and enjoy His presence, His grace is always sufficient for us.

2 Kings 23
King Josiah did what was right in the sight of God. But not his father nor his son. Yet despite all that he has done, v26 Still the Lord did not turn from the burning of his great wrath, by which his anger was kindled against Judah, because of all the provocations with which Manasseh had provoked him. 27 And the Lord said, “I will remove Judah also out of my sight, as I have removed Israel, and I will cast off this city that I have chosen, Jerusalem, and the house of which I said, My name shall be there.”
In 2 Kings 22: 20 Therefore, behold, I will gather you to your fathers, and you shall be gathered to your grave in peace, and your eyes shall not see all the disaster that I will bring upon this place.’
Again this is about the plan of God and his timing. Who are we to question his plan. We have choice, to choose His plan or to refuse it. Josiah chose it, but God wrath was still on Judah.
It is about his timing, because of what Josiah did, the wrath did not come during his time.
Your choice? I will still choose to wait and allow God plan to be fulfilled in my life. I have rushed into the vision God has for me. God confirm it once again, give me more confirmation and on the vision. I want to start allover again seeking your plan and wait for your timing.

2 Kings 22
Justice anger
v 18 Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: Regarding the words that you have heard, 19 because your heart was penitent, and you humbled yourself before the Lord, when you heard how I spoke against this place and against its inhabitants, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and you have torn your clothes and wept before me, I also have heard you, declares the Lord. 20 Therefore, behold, I will gather you to your fathers, and you shall be gathered to your grave in peace, and your eyes shall not see all the disaster that I will bring upon this place.’
Be angry for the Lord. But not be angry about the person. Be angry for why the person has not act in ways that pleases the Lord. Who am I to judge, am I more righteous than the person I am angry about?
The acts that displease God should be the ones we should be angry about. Pray for the soul, let it be right with God, check out zeal and let it be right with God.
Truely, you have put me in a ministry place, for my family and at my work place. I pray and ask that you allow me to sought you and sought the things that is right. Teach me how to gain favour from man in order to let them know that God loves them and is displease with the actions.

2 Kings 20-21
The Timing of God.
Hezekiah was sick. He pleaded with God and God healed him and added another 15 years to his life.
2 Kings 20:6 and I will add fifteen years to your life.
2 Kings 21:1 Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Hephzibah. 2 And he did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, according to the despicable practices of the nations whom the Lord drove out before the people of Israel.
Manasseh was the son of Hezekiah when Hezekiah was addede another 15 years.
Why? If God has not added nother 15years, there will be no Manasseh.
We see what we see now, but God has plans. From Manasseh came King Josiah, the grand son of Manasseh. from Josiah line came Jesus.
Despite what man does, God still preserve his remnants.
I may not be able to see what II and where my family be heading now, its is god timing. We may choose to rush into action, but stay put in prayer.
Lord, I let me quickly settle down in NP so that I can adjust my time for II and my family. We need more prayers and we need to engage god more. I am speaking about myself.
Is Manasseh too young to be king, maybe. But how about Josiah? Josiah was eight.
This speak about the counsel we gave to our children. I pray and ask that I can share the wow from the word of God to my family. I also pray that I can speak about the real life greatness of God to them.

2 Kings 18-19
When it comes to trouble, and we seek the Lord but help is not on the way, is the Lord not hearing us?
The question is how right we are with God. Who are we to cry out to Him? Nevertheless, do we still believe in Him to cry out to Him?
King Hezekiah 18:5trusted in the Lord, the God of Israel, so that there was none like him among all the kings of Judah after him, nor among those who were before him.
Nevertheless, Judah still came under attack. 18:13 In the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah, Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the fortified cities of Judah and took them.
Judah suffered defeat despite King Hezekiah trust in the Lord.
But King Hezekiah still cried out to the Lord. The Lord on the other hand was not silent. After Elijah, he sent Elisha and now Isaiah.
19:6 Isaiah said to them, “Say to your master, ‘Thus says the Lord:
We are not alone even though in times of defeat and in times of trouble. Whom have you trust and whom do you believe in.
I was praying yesterday for reconcilation, but negative thoughts just come for you to gave up. Stop praying? Gave up on God?
He listen, He is still alive.
All was well after continuation and pressing in prayers.
My God is around, alive and is listening!

2 Kings 17
v18 Therefore the Lord was very angry with Israel and removed them out of his sight. None was left but the tribe of Judah only.
It was the Lord who brought them out of Egypt. What that signifies is that the Lord had heard the cries of the Israelites and delivered them.
It was the Lord who conquered the land. What that signifies is that the Lord provides.
But the people continue and continue through generations to live in idolatry. How can a nation of God fall into sins, not by a tribe, not by a generation?
What brought them away from the Lord? The Lord was silent. No. v13 Yet the Lord warned Israel and Judah by every prophet and every seer, saying..
v14 But they would not listen, but were stubborn, as their fathers had been, who did not believe in the Lord their God.
The temptations and the lure away from God is equally bad in this modern day. The internet, the digital media, the material temptation..
How can I keep a generation to stay close to God? It began with father. Walk right with God, with integrity for you are the leader. Show the next generation that the Lord your God is real. He provides.
Rachael was sharing with me about II. It is an instrument use by God. Then let God provides the resources. Not by my might, nor by my strength, nor by my wisdom. If II succeed, its success is because of God who choose to use it for His kingdom. Of this I pray.
I too pray that through II, it will also bring the family in unity and together we will serve God. I pray that as we serve, we see the realness of God and we see His provision. That Josef and his silblings may know and see and taste that the Lord is good. Amen.

2 Kings 15 and 16
These were some of the evil the kings of Israel and the King of Judah did- not to their enemies but towards their own people.
15:16 At that time Menahem (King of Israel)sacked Tiphsah and all who were in it and its territory from Tirzah on, because they did not open it to him. Therefore he sacked it, and he ripped open all the women in it who were pregnant.
16:3 but he (Ahaz the son of Jotham, king of Judah) walked in the way of the kings of Israel. He even burned his son as an offering, according to the despicable practices of the nations whom the Lord drove out before the people of Israel.
I will never do that, but these are not the evils God refer to, 16:4 And he sacrificed and made offerings on the high places and on the hills and under every green tree.
The very disowning of God - the need to fear God and the necessarity to know and acknowledge God.
How can I as parent breed a generation of God-knowing and God fearing children?
If we read in contrast 2 kings chapter 16:1-4 and comapre with 15:1-2, 15:32-33
The mother of the king who did right in the eyes of God was mentioned. 16:1-2 did not mention the mother. That give an answer as how we can bring up children that know God.
15:4 Nevertheless, the high places were not taken away. The people still sacrificed and made offerings on the high places.
The fear of God is therefore not about not doing the commitment of evil actions against humanity. It is about doing the right thing - acknowledging and worship the one and only God. He is everything.
Lord, I pray on stronghold that grips me and my family. Help me and I as father to remove these stronghold against my family. Show me any. Let us worship you and you alone, let not the distance away from you degrade the relationship this generation, the next generations and the generations to come. Teach me dear Lord, to know how to teach my next generation to know you and to worship you. Amen.

2 Kings 15
v8 In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, Zechariah the son of Jeroboam reigned over Israel in Samaria six months. 9 And he did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, as his fathers had done. He did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which he made Israel to sin. 10 Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him and struck him down at Ibleam and put him to death and reigned in his place. 11 Now the rest of the deeds of Zechariah, behold, they are written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel. 12 (This was the promise of the Lord that he gave to Jehu, “Your sons shall sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.” And so it came to pass.)
Just as God promised Abraham that his descendents will be like the sand on the shore. What is one thing you will ask God for? Rachael asked that there will be God-knowing and God-fearing generations to come like the san on the shore.
Because of what Jehu did, God gave him the throne of Israel to the 4th generations. None of his sons did right before God. None plea for the continuation of blessings, so it stop at the 4th.
What is the things that we want to leave after us? Indeed a generation of God-knowing and God-fearing decendents for generations and generations to come.
We are the first generation of Christian, let this good works have no end.
The greatest appointment, the wealth, even a kings's throne and kingdom, what if the legacy does not continue... We will just be building up for ourselves that will last at most for a few generations.
I pray for both Rachael and myself that our focus will be for God to pass on the blessings and the promises for generations and generations to come. It will start with us and on Josef, Deborah and Matthias. Amen.

2 King 14
Did the sons of Jehu forgot the promises of God? God mentioned that because of what Jehu did, 4 generations would sit on the throne, but v23 Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel, began to reign in Samaria, and he reigned forty-one years. 24 And he did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. He did not depart from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which he made Israel to sin.
This was Jehu 3rd generation and they continue to did evil in the sight of God. Not one of the king want to reverse the promises of God in pleading or in fasting.
Rachael mentioned about II, about the procastination. Let it stop, let II be a testimony to God. I will once again take charge of II and stop the flow of procastination. God in pleading and asking, I seek for a new start for II. Yes I am going to be busy with teaching, but I will not want to forget about the charge you have promise to II. It will be a blessings and Lord you will use it for community transformation and for poverty levitation for God's kingdom. Show me Lord how to build it up once again. Give your blessings once again in our trading and allow me to close all positions. I plea sorry and as you will show and direct me, let me do it and at once. Amen.

2 Kings 13
v7 For there was not left to Jehoahaz an army of more than fifty horsemen and ten chariots and ten thousand footmen, for the king of Syria had destroyed them and made them like the dust at threshing.
The glory of Israel was over. A great far cry from the time David and Solomon ruled the land. The reasons - v2 He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord and followed the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which he made Israel to sin; he did not depart from them.
As king, no matter how pathetic the state of Israel was, he still could enjoy himself, why bother. Anyway all live and die.
If such was the manner, the curse will continue and the failure for the generations to be in God's favour. But to some why bother again.
v17 And he(Elisha) said, “Open the window eastward,” and he opened it. Then Elisha said, “Shoot,” and he shot. And he said, “The Lord's arrow of victory, the arrow of victory over Syria! For you shall fight the Syrians in Aphek until you have made an end of them.”
Even at the death, Elisha mentioned about God blessings instead of downfall to the king of Israel. God wants to bless, so its upto us to embrace that goodness of God.
I pray for the curse that has on my previous generation and my generation. I pray that Godshow favour to Josef favour and his next and future generations. So to Deborah and Matthias.
I pray against contentment and I will not fall into the traps of the king of Israel - caring only for this generation and not next. I pray that the Lord will guide my hand to instruct the next generation that they will always be in the blessings of God. Amen.
v7 For there was not left to Jehoahaz an army of more than fifty horsemen and ten chariots and ten thousand footmen, for the king of Syria had destroyed them and made them like the dust at threshing.

2 King 12
12:1 In the seventh year of Jehu, Johoash began to reign, and he reigned forty years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Zibiah of Beersheba. 2 And Jehoash did what was right in the eyes of the Lord all his days, because Jehoiada the priest instructed him.
Again 2 person played an important role in King Johoash life - His mother or his aunt that play the nuturer. Johoiada, the priest did the role of priestly council. In fact, I believe that when Johoiada died, Johoash did the foolish things of giving tributes to King of Syria. v18 Jehoash king of Judah took all the sacred gifts that Jehoshaphat and Jehoram and Ahaziah his fathers, the kings of Judah, had dedicated, and his own sacred gifts, and all the gold that was found in the treasuries of the house of the Lord and of the king's house, and sent these to Hazael king of Syria.
As a technical person, I need priestly advice, vision and instruction to act on what is of God. I thank God for Steven that act as the priest for II. Not that I cannot hear from God, I am simply too distracted and want to hear exactly from God.
Johoash asked for money to repair the temple. They collected it for 23 years but the temple was not repair. Johoash stopped the collection and start to pay carpenters and workers for rebuilding.
We don't have to wait for for all the resources to get started. God Himself will provide. Our journey is of faith. I pray for II, that the direction and the project given of God, II need not to wait for all the resources, but by faith act on it because of God the provider. Amen.

2 King 11
11:1 Now when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the royal family.
But God has promise David that there will always be a son to sit on the throne. David was the only one that God has promise so, so that his line will continue till Jesus.
Wow, such great favour. such blessings.
Two such person helped preserved the line of David. 2 But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Joram, sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah and stole him away from among the king's sons who were being put to death, and she put [1] him and his nurse in a bedroom.
4 But in the seventh year Jehoiada sent and brought the captains of the Carites and of the guards, and had them come to him in the house of the Lord. And he made a covenant with them and put them under oath in the house of the Lord, and he showed them the king's son.
Johosheba - the nuturer and Johoiada the priest. Both played a big role in King Joash, who walk right with God. He was seven when he sit on the throne.
As parent, I pray and ask that you annoint me as father, as husband of the family. You have put me in a role to care and nuturer my children. You have placed me so that I can lead them in a priestly and rightful manner.
I too pray for people like Johosheba and Johoiada, that will
I ask for you favour and your blessings to be on this family that we will continue to serve the Lord, our God for genereations and generations. Let this line not cease from having a name that will call the Lord our God. Amen.

2 Kings 10
Jehu slaughtered 70 sons of King Ahad. v11 So Jehu struck down all who remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel, all his great men and his close friends and his priests, until he left him none remaining.
I can imagine the anger of the Lord. Surely some of his sons were innocent, but I believe the depth of the sins of following Baal that King Ahad had influence on his family.
v30 And the Lord said to Jehu, “Because you have done well in carrying out what is right in my eyes, and have done to the house of Ahab according to all that was in my heart, your sons of the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.”
Compare and contrast the promises God has for Jehu.
In the same way, Lord, I pray that you teach me how to remove the sins of my past, the sins of my forefathers, that they will have no curse on my next generations. During the get-away with Rachael, I have denounce some of them. I will continue to watch my walk, and walk with integrity. Forgive me my Lord. I pray that I will not be like Jehu in v31 But Jehu was not careful to walk in the law of the Lord, the God of Israel, with all his heart.
Likewise, I pray that I can leave to my fourth generations and Josef to his fourth generations, the blessings and promises of the Lord.

2 Kings 9
v3 Then take the flask of oil and pour it on his head and say, ‘Thus says the Lord, I anoint you king over Israel.’ Jehu was annointed by God to be the next king of Israel.
Jehu was meeting his commanders when Elisha sent his servant to anoint him as the next king. When he came out, his commander asked him what happen. Elisha had a "bad" name among the present kings and commanders.
v11 they said to him, “Is all well? Why did this mad fellow come to you?” And Jehu said to them, “You know the fellow (Elisha) and his talk.”
But they know that Elisha was indeed a man of God. v12 And they (the commanders) said, “That is not true; tell us now.”
Wow, God has anointed and has given the authority for Jehu to be the next king over Israel. It was known that what God spoke through Elisha would come to pass. There was nothing to stop Jehu now, so the commanders accept jehu as the new king.
How did Jehu response?
How did Jehu fare in the end?
To me these are important questions. The first question answer the action. There is no need to be "humble" about it. "Nothing, not need to boost...". If God is for us, who can be against us. Further, answer the call, do not back off.
Indeed, hold on to the promise God has given. Act on it with obedience. I pray and ask the Lord for discipline to fulfil these actions.
The second question is how we end. As a leader, lead a life of integrity.

2 King 8
8:1 Now Elisha had said to the woman whose son he had restored to life, “Arise, and depart with your household, and sojourn wherever you can, for the Lord has called for a famine, and it will come upon the land for seven years.”
This woman was not poor. She had land, except for a son, whom the Lord gave her in advance age.
Now she has everything, riches and a son, why should she be removed and departed from her wealth.. so what if the famine come, she had riches that can withstand it...
Such are worldly thoughts and humanly thinking. I pray and as the Lord continue to minister to me on opening my spiritual eyes, speak to me as clear as Elisha spoke, that I may believe.
I also remembered that when Elisha spoke to the woman regarding a son, she disbelived. 2Kings4:16 And he said, “At this season, about this time next year, you shall embrace a son.” And she said, “No, my lord, O man of God; do not lie to your servant.”
10 fold, you will multiply II by 10 fold. I pray that this is not just human imagination, but what you say, you can and will bring them to past.
I pray Psa 62:10
10 Put no trust in extortion;
set no vain hopes on robbery;
if riches increase, set not your heart on them.
2 king 8:v6So the king appointed an official for her, saying, “Restore all that was hers, together with all the produce of the fields from the day that she left the land until now.”
I pray and ask for the returns...
Such are the feelings in my heart, a struggle between the blessings and the riches of the world. In one hand to bless and glory God from the riches, yet on the other hand worry about the heart that is right.
It will be nice to have the riches. I read about how a businessman gave 250k to a temple because the gods bless him in his business. I read about how NTu gave $1M to Sichuan for earthquake victims.
On one hand, I pray that II will raise up to that status, but I too know my heart, that I want II name to be in the newspaper or worst - my name.
Lord, what a struggle in me. To be with you will be enough, not my will but yours. I do not want a name for myself, that I will lose my self. I want my heart to be right with you, so that even with your blessings in riches and wealth, I will bless others and so with not even a thought to glory myself.
I pray for II to raise up to that occassion. Amen.

2 Kings 7
v2 Then the captain on whose hand the king leaned said to the man of God, “If the Lord himself should make windows in heaven, could this thing be?” But he said, “You shall see it with your own eyes, but you shall not eat of it.”
Within a day or two, how can such things happen, even if the Lord Himself should... For the price of food was so high the day ago and how can its price fall so much and so fast...
The story continued to tell how this captain indeed witnessed the happening, but did not get to eat of the food.
There are a lot of things I cannot comprehen. Open my spiritual eyes that I see and my heart that I may believe. I pray for this sensitivity to see and to believe such things can happen. I pray for such revelation and when so, I can take opportunity and grow my faith that I may see the glory of the Lord come to pass.
I remembered the story of Joshua, when God asked him to do "silly things" to take the city of Jericho. It was that complete obedience, the heart that believe and the spiritual eye that I can see the promises of God and that they shall come to pass.
Harden not my heart, so that I not may treat the word of God with disbelieve. We serve a God of impossible.
I long and wait or the day of great harvest, of great super natural profit.

Num 27:12-23
Joshua succeed Moses
Situational vs Visionary Leader
What makes a leader? As I was reading this passage, the Lord impressed upon my heart about two type of leaders - situational leader, visionary leader.
We are situational leader, for example, we are fathers - head of the household. In our workplace, we are teachers, head of the classroom or lecture hall. As situation leader, we make decision and lead and direct the moment of the situation as necessary.
As visionary leader, the vision has to be God given. As a visionary leader, it will be one that brings others to the vision and follow it.
Life, Lead and Legacy
God has prepared Joshua, long before he spied the land. v18 a man in whom is the Spirit.
Moses asked for a successor, for someone to continue to his role v17 who shall go out before them and come in before them, who shall lead them out and bring them in, that the congregation of the Lord may not be as sheep that have no shepherd.
The start out as leader being with our life, how we live it. The Lord look at the heart. The end of a leader is about succeed with a successor.
How can I lead if my heart is not right with God. I can only lead in moments of situation but not long run casting vision for others to follow. So Lord prepare my heart.
Leader takes responsibility. If it is only situation, Lord make the right decision. If you have given me the vision, guide me to cast it so that others may follow.
Impression vs Impact
At the end of it, as a leader it is not what the much that we have done for ourselves, an impression for the world to awe, but the impact we leave in the life of others. Lord, let me first impact the lives of my family and the people around me.
Follower or Leader - its how you live your life.
Ask the Lord - what role or situation am I in now? Be a follower or a leader, God has placed us in that location, for that role, for that situation. So the answer is how can I living my life out as a follower or as a leader. The Lord looks at the heart and prepares those who hears Him.
Situation or visionary - its how you lead in accordance to God's command
Ask the Lord- the situation you are in required you to lead and make decision. The vision God gave you need your responsibility. Regardless, its the Lord who lead and direct, are we then leading and acting in decision and responsibility in accordance to God's command?
Impression or Impact - its the legacy you want to leave behind.
You may be remembered for the way you lead or you may be remembered for the way you impact others. What the legacy you want to leave behind. Don't return to the Lord with an empty hand.

2 Kings 6
16 He said, “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 Then Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.”
Lord open my eyes that I may see, open my heart that I may feel.
I have failed to see the the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire. I have seen only what is physical that is within my physical vision and my mindful conception.
The Lord has promised great things and through me He will choose to use me to fulfil. Let me not limit God by what I can estimate or measure.
I know there are unfinish works the Lord need to do in me- my heart, so that my spiritual eyes can be open.
The mind and the will has boxed what God can do in and through me. The heart will bring me to near God and feel His heartbeat. The heart will also open and connect others through it.
Rachael also share from Psa 62:10
10 Put no trust in extortion;
set no vain hopes on robbery;
if riches increase, set not your heart on them.
The physical eyes see the wealth and set the heart on them. The spiritual heart set the on the things of God and set the spiritual eyes on them. Elisha servants saw the enemies, but Elisah saw the army of God.

2 King 4
Elisha and the Widow's Oil
v2 “What shall I do for you? Tell me.."
As for me, you know my heart. Give me one that will trust and fear you, so that I can live in full obedience in you. Even if you bless me with wealth know, I may fail you because my heart may not act and fulfil the plan you have for me. I ask for the heart, so that I can act in full obedience and execute the plan you have for me.
Elisha asked the woman for jars, not just a few. If she had just brought a few, she would have missed out a lot more. I asked therefore for a heart and wisdom that can minister the extra ordinary amount of wealth, through II, for a purpose you have through me for your kingdom.
I have not tasted the creation of wealth through II, but I know that it will come to pass. Even as I pray, I ask that you show me how to bless and how the network of bless can be setup.
The Shunammite Woman prepared a room in order that Elisha, the man of God could be blessed. Again Elisha asked her what she want. She did not answer directly, but Elisha asked his servant,v14 “What then is to be done for her?”.
Imagine the answer if the servant Gehazi had not asked for a son. Be bold. God has the power to give life.
God has too the power to overcome death. v26 And she answered, “All is well.” No, her son had died. ELisha later raised him from death. Therefore be bold.
I have presented my heart to God, I have asked that your plan will be the best will for me. Amen.

Amen.

2 Kings Chapter 3
Obedience and full obedience
Choosing God and choosing the world
The chapter began with a description of King Jehoram of Israel. He was v2 He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, though not like his father and mother, for he put away the pillar of Baal that his father had made. 3 Nevertheless, he clung to the sin of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which he made Israel to sin; he did not depart from it.
Basically, not a fully obedience king to God, despite what he had done, he was still considered evil in the sight of the Lord.
When he went out to war, his army ran out of water. What would you expect the outcome? Unlike his father Ahaziah, who seek not the God of Israel but foreign god, King Jehoram did not seek foreign god. BUT neither did he seek the God of Israel. This reflect his obedience and his trust in the Lord. v10 Then the king of Israel said, “Alas! The Lord has called these three kings to give them into the hand of Moab.”
Fortunately for him, someone in his company knew how to seek the Lord, the King of Judah, v11 And Jehoshaphat said, “Is there no prophet of the Lord here, through whom we may inquire of the Lord?”
Choose the right company - worldly versus godly. Choose the right standard and value, the world versus God.
I remembered as I started off II, I asked the Lord for priestly counsel. Least of all I have these men whom can ask God for His direction and plan of action, that I may not be able to hear.
Our state of obedience reflect our reactions to situation, but our full obedience showed our actions toward God plan. When we are fully obedience to God, when He give the words, the plan that even it sound impossible, we act. But when our obedience is not "full", we only react. God cannot called us for any action. When face with a situation, we then remembered God and seek Him. As a result, we are reactive.
Lord I pray, as you continue to speak to me about full obedience, that I may be one to fully obey you and trust and fear you.

2 King 2
From Gilgal to Bethel to Jericho to Jordan, Elisha followed Elijah.
It is at Gilgal that Joshua 4:19 The people came up out of the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and they encamped at Gilgal on the east border of Jericho. 20 And those twelve stones, which they took out of the Jordan, Joshua set up at Gilgal.
Gen35:15 So Jacob called the name of the place where God had spoken with him Bethel.
Of course Jerico is the first stronghold that the people of Israel took after crossing the Jordan.
These were significant places, a place of remembrance for the greatness and the promise of God.
As I retraced these few years, I recalled meeting two people that has helped shaped my life - one is Paul and the other is Steven. In a surprise way, these are people that I always and labelled them belonging to the "priestly class". I am introduce to the work of church, and a pursuit of God in a different dimension. I now know more pastor and church worker, para church worker more than I have two or three years ago.
I still hold on to the calling, the vision God has showed me. God blessed me with a wonderful family, also for the pursuit of that vision. But over the years I have became distracted and try to achieve the vision by my own human capability and planning. But now, after knowing these two man, I have been shaped and pursuit the vision with God planning and in His agenda.
The forming of The Isaiah Initiative was another milestone. It set the propose of giving to God's kingdom.
The get away with Rachael was also good. The focus on the family is how to bring up Josef, Deborah and Matthias not in the pursuit of worldly standard, but in Godly values. It is how to engage their spirit with God in their everyday lives.
When I met Pastor Mehan two Sunday, I asked how to get God's anointing. His answer was it cannot be taught but caught.
Like wise, when Elijah parted the Jordan, Elisha did so.
I pray and ask for this anointing and God open my eyes and my involvement that I may catch these anointing and I can also allow my family to catch this anointing.

2 King 1
From today I will began my reading for my time alone with God from the OT 2Kings.
Chapter 1
Who do you believe?
Who do you trust?
Who do you fear?
The world tends to distract us with material wealth, power and status. But sickness come to all. So what is that to you to gain the whole world but to lose your soul.
King Ahaziah was the king of Israel, but God was not in his dictionary. When he fell sick, he sent messengers, telling them, “Go, inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, whether I shall recover from this sickness.” Do you know your God? Who do you believe?
Probably you do, but when it come to death and life situation, is God still the one you seek? Or do you trust in the things around you, your own strength, your status, your relationship, your wealth ... to solve the problem. It began with the little trust in God to know that He controls the big and small situation.
When Elijah confronted King Ahaziah, the king sent 3 batches of 50 men to confront Elijah back. Yes Elijah was only a man and the king has an army. Who do you trust?
100 men went before God and was slain. The last batch of 50 men, the commander realise that he was not confronting man but God. So do you fear your king or your God? If he has chosen to fear man, he and his 50 men would have died. Who do you fear?
Trust and fear comes together. Knowing this almighty God makes me fear Him. By fearing prevent me from doing the right things and act in righteousness. By knowing Him, allow me to trust Him. God has exercised grace and mercy, a God that provides, a God that heals...
During the get away with Rachael last weekend, the focus for the family upbringing should be on the walk with God based on His righteousness and integrity. The world has set a standard for parents and child to follow - study hard to get the results, get into a good school.. But God taught us that the focus is on the integration and teaching about God. Imagine the success in getting good results but no involvement in God, or worst still prise God only when there is good results.
As first generation Christian, our objectives is to leave a legacy for the second generation children to know, trust and fear God. In little or big things, good outcome and bad happening, we still acknowledge our God, put our trust in Him and walk right in fear of Him. Amen.

John 21
Remember your calling.
Stick to your calling.
Peter was called to be fisher of men, but he went back fishing.
Jesus had to remind them of the calling, to be fisher of men.
9 When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it, and some bread.
Jesus don't need the fish that Peter fished. He had the breakfast prepared. He showed them again He would be with them.
v19 And after saying this he said to him, “Follow me.”
Stick to your calling and be faithful to it.
Of course the first is to know your calling, the purpose God has for you.
He may have called this family to places, to rural area to reach out to the orphans, but regardless, our call is to bring up godly children that will follow Jesus.
The world has its standard. In John 21 is about the number of fish that they can caught in one night. It will be a failure to return empty handed. But Jesus don't need the fish.
So it is whether we stick to God standard and His calling, giving up the standards of this world and stick to the calling God has for us.
See how Jesus provide the fish for breakfast, even though Jesus helped Peter to haul in a large net of fish.
What do you want? Stick to your call.

John 20
Four person, Mary, Peter, John and Andrew.
Mary was the first one to visit the Lord's tomb, but did not go in to take a look.
Peter heard about the Lord's resurrection, ran the first to the tomb.
John outran Peter, but did not enter the tomb.
Peter was the one who entered the tomb first.
John entered, saw the cloth and believe.
Jesus appeared to Mary first and she believe.
Jesus later appear to Peter and the rest and they believe.
Andrew did not go to the tomb, missed out on Jesus appearance, but unless he see the Lord scar and unless he touched them, he would not believe.
How about you? Mary, Peter, John or Andrew.
I heard about the Lord, but unless I see Him and touch Him, I will not believe, like Andrew.
These were the people who had walked and had knew Jesus. How about those who has yet to know Him?
It was not the carnal man that knew Jesus but the spirit man. They can see, but not believe, they may see and believe without any need to explain the gospel.
The connecting point is the spirit man. We who believed Jesus and had received the Holy spirit should pray and ask that the Holy spirit minister to the spirit man of those who don;t believe.
The level of believe also permit me to understand the different "type" of personality and each has a different way to acknowledge Jesus. No point being so stress of why they don't believe.
I pray that God will continue to minister through the Holy Spirit and speak to my father about Jesus. In ways I cannot comprehend, speak to his spirit man. Amen.

John 19
The internal struggle of Jesus just before His death was described by how Jesus prayed and tears like blood the night before He was crucified.
He suffered the physical pain, but endured through. He did not "die" half way while carrying the cross, or bled to death from the hitting and flogging. He was nailed and maintain his conscienceness.
v30 When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
What a way to conclude. He asked to end and it end, but remember, he suffered before he came to this stage.
The process that Jesus went through. But the promise and the end - Jesus knew.
Do we know the end, the plan..., but do we know the the route to it and it may be not without pain or suffering.
But during so, do we know God? Enjoy the step with Jesus, enjoy the process in down and up, but knowing well that we will finish well.

John 18
38 Pilate said to him, “What is truth?” After he had said this, he went back outside to the Jews and told them, “I find no guilt in him.
If Pilate has let Jesus continue to state "What is truth".. Not that any situation can change, but Pliate heart may change.
Peter in this chapter denied Jesus 3 times as predicted.
Judas betrayed Jesus and was there to witness Jesus arrest.
Situation arises, but the responses was different. Pliate refuse and don't bother to heard the truth. Judas knew the truth, but harden his heart against Jesus for greed. Peter knew the truth, but denied Jesus because of fear.
We live in this world set by and govern by worldly standard. To know and to conform or to be in the world but not in the world. What am I chasing about? What am I trying to prove?
This week the same questions surface - what is God promise to you, that I can claim? Isaiah 40:31 but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
I wait and the Lord has a lot of things to work in me. I see the day that I can soar with Jesus on wings like eagle.
Also Joshua 24:13 I gave you a land on which you had not labored and cities that you had not built, and you dwell in them. You eat the fruit of vineyards and olive orchards that you did not plant.’
Yesterday, I asked for how to get His annointing, the reply is that it has to be catch. And this annointing is a gift and it has to be use.
So do I keeping wandering? Like Pilate who do not want to know the truth, or like Judas who greed for the world or like Peter who denied because of fear.
I knew the truth, I choose not to greed for the world or fear them. Yes indeed, in my vision statement, to help those who are economically deprived. Not for my glory for that will be greed. Not knowing how to do it because of fear.
The Lord will lead and he will guide, so that glory goes back to Him. But I must be subject to the discipleship training of the Lord, claiming His promise and yet overcome the greed and the fear that the world will want to grip me.
I present myself as a transition from the old generation to the new. I want to be like Joshua. Someone God took notice of and use him from the old generation to the new to lead and take over the land. Amen.

v1 glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you
We believe in the word, believe in Jesus and believe in God. What's next? As a disciple of Jesus, like Jesus, is to do the things such that God can be glorify. Like the way Jesus pray, may glorify you.
The world see the physical blessings God has given us, the things that we do (the talents God has bless us), so that the glory go to Him.
v13 that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
But also the joy that the world may see in us.
We are the walking bible, the disciple of Christ that walk the talk.

John 16
v8 And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: 9 concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; 10 concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no longer; 11 concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.
When nobody sees, without God, without Jesus, and without the conviction of the Holy Spirit, I have no conscience of doing wrong. The world owes me, I will take it back..
But the spirit man in me tells me that I cannot be so. What is the fear as long as by the world standard you are not caught by the laws. I cannot go on sinning, because with sin I cannot be standing on Holy ground. Not that I want to be perfect, but that I want to be part of God's plan.
To be in His plan, is about total obedience. Full obedience is inclusive of the conviction by the spirit of correcting the wrong doing - obedience to the Holy Spirit.
This includes any procastination to act when prompt by the Holy Spirit.
I may not comprehen God plan for me, but I am convicted that the Holy Spirit is the Helper God has for me to lead me in my path toward His will.

5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
I remembered the situation in NS. I amy not acknowledge it, but with God I can do much more. During the start of the SOC (Standard Obstacle Course) I would pray. I hated the low wall. But once I cleared it, I am like a deer. I always ended in top 5.
A lot of time, I went through situation with my own strength. But I have learnt that in God I have the multiplication effect.
The key is abides in Him, and so bears much fruit.
The dependent on God is more than just knowing God. It is also about having Him in me and allow the Him to do the will and the plan He has for you.

John 14
10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works themselves.
If Jesus is the Son, who is God? This was a question ask by my domestic helper.
The concept of Trinity is not easy for my children as well. If God is the Heavenly Father, who is Jesus?
It all sum up to the love of God. God refuse to give us up. He sent Jesus, His son, who is also Himself, who is also God, to die for us. The concept of the Father and the Son as one, but separated for us inorder to love us.
The journey begins yesterday with me going for almost a 2 months leave. Let it be a faith journey with God and I believe He will take and guide me into the promise plan.
15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, [6] to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.
He has shown me through the "story" of David and Bessebath, a sign that I will be given an active job. But as the story goes, I am also reminded of lust.
I have too ask God about China, that I am sadden that I have no opportunity to go there or to work there yet. God reminded me of the verse that I shall eat of the vine in the vineyard that I did not plant. God will have his plan work out.
I too pray that in all I do, I partner God. Let the Holy Spirit be my guide in my work and my walk.
John 13
v5 Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him.
Did Jesus washed the feet of Judas?
After washing the disciple feet, Jesus was troubled in the spirit. He even revealed to Peter who would be the betrayer, who would be the one Jesus dipped the morsel, he gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.
Immediately Judas went out in the night.
It was in front of the disciples, that Jesus mentioned that one of them would betray Jesus. Before that when he wash their feet, He too mentioned that among them one of them was not clean, v10but not every one of you.He even quote scriptures in v18 I am not speaking of all of you; I know whom I have chosen. But the Scripture will be fulfilled, [4] ‘He who ate my bread has lifted his heel against me.’.
When he gave Jusda the bread, he spoke to him saying in v27 Jesus said to him, “What you are going to do, do quickly.”
Why am I so interested in Judas? Not Judas, but the number of obvious times that Jesus knew about the betrayal, but Judas was not repentant.
The passage is about grace. Everyone is not perfect, but where is our heart after the Lord. Are we still living in sin and again and again, despite the obious warning still refuse to come back to our senses?
Judas went out. Good. If he had gone out and cry, good. But unfortunately, he did not turn back.
I am leaving the past behind. It will be a new place, a new opening. Forgive me my Lord for all my wrong doings. No more. Amen.
Today, before I receive the offer, through the song "Days of Elijah", I shall be His labourer in the vineyard, His voice in the desert.

I woke up this morning with the story of David and Bethseeba. I do not know what that means, but immediately I understand that a idle mind is dangerous. What's your plan for me Lord?
I am concern about the streams of income and about II. How will the training go?
How long do I have to wonder? I know there are things God wants to deal with me that are not complete, before I can enter the land. Am I prepared for these ...
John 12
Judas commented that Mary should not be using the expensive nard and annointed the feet of Jesus.
Mary on the other hand served Jesus and decided that it was all worth to use the expensive nard on Jesus' feet.
How do we deal with money? Judas see that is is wasteful while Mary found it all worth.
Judas said that these could be use for the poor, while Mary use it for her Lord.
Jesus commented that the poor you always have with you, but you do not always have me.
A spirit of covet and envy is in me when I see that giving is wasteful. Instead like the rest of the world, we should accumulate assest for ourself. People are earning more and doing well than me, why am I so left out?
Ugly feeling and bad sentiment. I am concern about balancing accounts..
How will I react to the blessings on the day the Lord give them to me? There is something to know and learn here.
Jesus have not blessed or give Mary the nard, but Mary use them for the Lord whom she loved.
Judas was in charge of the money bag and yet he used to help himself to what was put it.
What was not bless but given. What was not receive but taken.
I should not be expecting a blessings before I give and even before I receive I should learn to give.
The worse is that I felt that I am so much worse off and I should take and receive more so that I can be better off.
What a person am I?...
I pray that the Lord will provide me with enough that I may not steal. I pray that I will learn to receive blessings and acknowledge it is the Lord who has bless. I have seen that by my own strength, I have failed, failed badly. There is no point accumulating assest for my own ego, so that the day of great rewards, I will not let pride take over me, but know clearly it is the work of my God. I shall eat You eat the fruit of vineyards and olive orchards that you did not plant. I will have the blessings but it is not for my glory. I pray that I will learn when to bless the kingdom of God and when to bless the poor. I pray that I will give to the poor because it is good and the world may know that I have a good heart. All purpose is for God's glory. Amen.

John 11
Jesus did the miracle of raising Lazarus from the dead.
The Timing
He knew about that Lazrus is going to die, but did not go immediately. v6 Yet when He heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was two more days.
The Failure
Both Martha and Mary who believe that Jesus is the recurrection, the Son of God, failed to see that Jesus can raise Lazarus. v 32 Lord if you had been here, my brother would not have died.
The Fear
v47 What are we accomplishing? This was the questions asked by the Pharisees and the Sanhedrin after Jesus has raised Lazarus.
How much did we put our plans in sync with His purposes?
We go by our own knowledge, our own resources, our own agenda and a lot of time short change the timing of God. I know that any delay is about undealt things in my life. The people has seen the sick cure and believe. Even Mary and Martha believe in that. But the undealt things is that the people does not have the depth of understanding that Jesus is the life and the recurrection.
I know that God has plan for me, plan to prosper us. Numbers 21 gave example of how the new generation has overcome the complaining spirit and become fully obedient. Likewise, as I pray and understand the short fall in myself, I embrace myself to a spirit that is obedience to God - fully, sensitive to His calling.
Healing the sick was no big deal. Jesus did that. v33 Jesus wept. The people believed that Jesus is the Son of God that could does miracles of healing only. Even Martha, Mary believed in that. When Jesus saw the Jews coming, he wept. These people has faith that was surely less than Mary and Martha. Jesus is the life and the resurrection!
Believe that God can do much more. Again the book of Numbers saw God did what was not sensible. How much do I believe God? In His time, in His way, I believe. More of you and less of me.
What was the purpose? For Him or for yourself? When Jesus raised Lazarus, it was not a wow to the Jews, but instead a cause of fear. So are we with God or against God.
Sure I can do a lot with my strength, but I want and choose to glorify God. When the purposes of God is attain, it is glory to God. This I know that the Lord has to deal with me. Not me but you.

John 10
The sheep of Jesus Christ. The sheep hears my voice and follows me. v4 The sheep follow him, for they know his voice.
Are we the sheep of Christ? During this period, I ask of the Lord to be sensitive to God. God is spirit and the one way to be sensitive to God is to be sensitive in spirit.
How can we be sensitive to the spirit? You can only hear the heartbeat of God by being near to Him. And the only way is that God has permitted you to be near to Him. You cannot hear God's heartbeat if you choose to be far away.
How then can we be near to Him? Through prayers, reading, journal down the events and milestone for your walk and encounter with God, though worship.
It is a choice.
Jesus is the gate, the shepherd. We believed. Good. But how much do we hear his voice and follow him through the gate, how much do we permit Jesus to lead us.
The world has a lot to offer. The wealth, the prestige, the status...
But like what Jesus say, they are hired hand. So long the master is not around, roam as you like sheep and when the wolf, the hired man run away.
The best plan is God's plan. He want to propser us. Jer33. Our choice to choose it.
As for me, I choose His plan for me. I may not be someone the world know, but I am a child of God, a sheep that follow Christ. A lot of things I may not be what the wolrd expect, but I am happy to enter the gate that the Lord lead me. I choose to be in full obedience and sensitive to His calling. But I know that I am not perfect and there are still a lot of things God has to deal with me, but I know His perfect plan for me. Amen.

John 9
The story happened on Sabbath.
The man they called Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. Jesus told me to go to Silam and wash. So I went and washed and then I could see. v11
What is our current situation? What is our desire? Does the desire translate into actions?
My current desire is for a change in work environment. I need to be energized. I know now I am very free, but I am not energized. I feel that I am rotting there. I know I may have less time for I2, what's then your intent for me. Wait for I2 to kick off and quit? Or just quit? Open the door, for I know that this may not be the best time, but this is the best opportunity. The job description fitted me well. I have the mud in my eyes, if it is your command to go and wash them, I will. I have prepared well for the interview and tomorrow will be the final formal one.
What my situation? Dying to get out, waiting for I2 to kick off but have the responsiblity to provide for the family.
What my desire? To get myself energized again for my passion, for I2. I know when I teach even if it is in forex, I am energized.
What's my action? I have applied, I have prepared
Now leaving the results to God.

John 8
Jesus was arguing with the Jews on who He is.
The first identity crisis was that He is the son of God.
The second identity crisis was He truthful.
The third identity crisis was that He was the descendant of Abraham
The fourth identity crisis was that before Abraham was Jesus.
How to shallow? But why so hard?
The Jews has a living God, but never knew the heartbeat of God and His salvation plan.
The Jews can accept the witness of two person, but cannot accept Jesus claiming that He is speaking the truth. Jesus can simply testify by two of his disciple. They simply follow the rule and the law and failed to know the grace and mercy of God.
The Jews knew Abraham, but cannot identity that Jesus was a Jews (they called him a samaritian in verse 48). They simply knew, but failed to believe.
The Jews knew that God called Abraham, but failed to knew the purpose God has for Abraham.
So what are we defending? In the same way if we are challenged in our believe in God or in Christ, what are we defending? What is the worth?
Do you know God?
Do you know His Son?
Do you know His grace and mercy and His salvation plan?
Do you know what God called you for?
Arguing and debate over the bible is of no purposes. The questions above is all about how much you know about this God and Jesus who love you. He has called you for a purpose and not to prove how much you know about God and how much you believe in the Bible or Jesus.
Likewise, I am the father of my household. I know God and I know Jesus. I know about His grace and His mercy. There are past milestone and witnesses and testimonies for them. So my purpose is simple - lead them and leave them a legacy that they may too know this living God and the truth about the love of Christ. Lead them that they may too live with a purpose for Christ.
Of this I pray. Amen.

John 7
24 Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.”
Judgement comes from God and He will be the one to execute judgement. Evil acts may not be followed by punishment, nor good deeds followed by rewards.
Jesus taught about in this chapter about timing - his time has not come, v6, v8 and v30.
What matter most is doing the will of God. Jesus teach about what is from God, do what is required from God.
Let grace and mercy be from God.
I am preparing for a new chapter. What is past is gone. God decide and He lead. What I have is from Him and what I have not comes from Him. It is about His timing and about doing what is right now.
Lord, as you I enter a new phase, leaving and entering a new working environment, I want to leave the past behind and move on. Let me live a life worthy to be called based on integrity and honesty. I want to live in you will and followed the direction and the timing you have for me. Let me put my focus and priority right. What I seek for is not for building what the world use to think who I am. I am a child of God, a leader to my family. My responsibility is to them, to lead and guide them. My work is for bring out the plan God has for my family. My heartbeat is to be in sync with God, that I may hear His heartbeat and be sensitive to His calling.

John 6
43 Jesus answered them, “Do not grumble among yourselves. 44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.
Does that means we cannot do anything - unless the Father draws him? If the father don't draw him, he is out.
Jesus gave a difficult message about the bread of life. 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.
How can you eat Jesus?
As a result, 66 After this many of his disciples turned back and no longer walked with him.
What is then the balance?
I spend time reading this chapter again and again. Where is the contradictions? Is there contradictions?
The message is simple but to many not so straight forward. It is to believe that Jesus is the son of God, the bread that God supply that we need in order to live. Not physical living but eternal life. In stating so, it is not about eating Jesus, but to receive and believe that Jesus is the eternal life bridge to God.
It is not our works to make someone believe. If God draws them, we are His mouthpiece. If we may excuse ourselves to be that mouthpiece, God will use others.
This was Peter answer to Jesus, when asked whether he would like the rest be going away. 68 Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, 69 and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.”
I have choose to believe in an eternal God, that gave the eternal words, though Jesus. Where shall I go. So it is an answer of what shall we do now. We have believe, so now continue to act for God for what Jesus has done.
Use me, Lord. Amen.

John 5
5 One man was there who had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had already been there a long time, he said to him, “Do you want to be healed?”
Was Jesus asking the obvious? Of course, he wanted to be healed, else the invalid would not have been there for thirty eight years.
On the other story, 16 And this was why the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because he was doing these things on the Sabbath.
The Jews are waiting for their messiah, but when they saw the work of Jesus, the first question was where was Jesus doing the work on Sabbath? Was not an irrelevant question?
What are we waiting for? What is the purpose?
The invalid knew for one thing and the thing for sure - get healed.
The Jews knew what they are waiting for, but in the process lof waiting, lost sight of the waiting.
I am in mid life. I am looking forward towards the day of the Lord tremendous blessings. I am not losing sight, regardless, the best plan is to life in the will of God..

John 4
For the reasons stated in v1 and 2 of John4, Jesus left and departed for Galilee. Jesus passed through Samaria.
Something happened between the Jews and the Samaritans. v9 For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans
Both worship the same God. v10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you
Both has the same father Jacob. v12 Are you greater than our father Jacob?
But they have some unstated hostility (v9).
The Samaritan woman has some personal problems.
She draw water at the wried hour. v6 It was about the sixth hour.
She has 5 husbands. v17 ‘I have no husband’; 18 for you have had five husbands
But she desire God. v15 The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I will not be thirsty or have to come here to draw water.”
The story unfold in such a way is that for years, nobody solve the hostility between the Jews and the Samaritians. As long as we worhsip the same God, who cares about different place. As long as we share the same Jacob well and don't talk to each other, who cares.
The woman has her set of problems. That was why she need to draw water at the sixth hour (noon) where nobody would be doing so. Why, rrobably to shunt away from everyone else.
There are problems. We need a divine insight. Jesus is the answer.
The woman knew about her problem. She did not hide them from Jesus. BUT she saw the Christ in Jesus - spiritual insight.
And because of this spiritual insight came about a radical change.
The woman went back and told the town and the people, whom she want to avoid, about Christ.
Because of her testimony, v41 And many more believed because of his word. There was some healing between the Jews and the Samaritians , v40 they asked him to stay with them.
1) Recognize the problem
2) Desire for a radical change
3) Ask for a spiritual insight
4) Do the radical change.
We must first recognize the problem and have the desire for changes.
The desires to change will come when we gain spiritual insight. Else even Jesus is in front of us, we will not see that He is Christ.
When our spiritual eyes are open, do the radical change. Like the woman who went back to told the town, despite her undesire intend to associate with them.
There are things in me that I need change. Open first my heart for a desire to change, to gain a closeness in you. More of you and less of me. Amen.

John 3
v36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.
The deal is simple, believe in Jesus, the son of God and gain eternal life. But what makes so many failed to do so?
Two person to study in John chapter 3, a Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews and John the Baptist.
Nicodemus went to Jesus at night, showed fear of reception not by Christ but by the people. He wanted to know how to be born again.
John was asked about Jesus who was baptizing more and more peole than John. John answered that v30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
In the same way, many will question about Christ. Even Nicodemus, the teacher of Israel could not understand the concept of free gift ofJesus Christ the eternal life. Yet on the other hand, the simple people are flocking to Jesus to be baptized.
Nicodemus knew that Jesus is the Christ, Rabbi, 2 This man came to Jesus [1] by night and said to him, “we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.
John has been proclaiming about Christ as he went about baptizing.
Unless people see God and hear God, there is no way they can know that Jesus is the Christ. Unless we tell them and show them. So how are we going to show them and tell them unless we ourselves know and are convinced. Unless we our taste and see and know that the Lord is good, how can then can we show and tell.
Draw me continuously close to you. Eternal life is not bought using wealth or health, but a free gift from you. Let my heartbeat focus on people rather than what is on my agenda to create wealth and health. Amen.

Psalm 51
A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet went to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba
Surely, a king, man after God's heart should know about the sin that he had committed, not after but also during the sinning process, even before Nathan pointed out to David.
What then made David to sin? Without a conscience and without fear and regard for God. God was surely not in David's heart and David had surely no fear for Him and that resulted in David performing sin and planning to do more.
But when Nathan pointed out to David, suddenly he realised that where was God in him, v4 Against you, you only, have I sinnedand done what is evil in your sight.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God,and renew a right [2] spirit within me.11 Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me.12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.
David need to restore that spirit that fear God. For without that fear of God, he would surely go on sinning without consideration for God. He needed restoration, a new heart, a new spirit.
What was done became past. 14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God,O God of my salvation, and my tongue will sing aloud of your righteousness.
Yes, david has sinned, but he too wanted God back. What then make David desire to turn back to God? David had seen God, he knew God. What cause him to lose that fear was probably he has idle too long and let that carnal nature of man took over.
Remain in God. v17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.
Keep doing so by keeping close to God. Keep close by reading (because the words are given by God), prayers (keeping close to His heartbeat) and by worship (remembering the due back to God and know that He is still my God for His providence, grace and mercy).
Lord, how long should I continue without you, that I should remain in closeness with you. I pray and ask that I may fear you that I may know what not to sin against you. Forgive me, give me a renew heart, a new spirit and restore my salvation. For you alone I will fear and to you alone I want to keep close. Amen.

John 2
John baptized Jesus, the next day Jesus took in 2 disciples and the next day another 2.
Chapter 2:1 on the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee.
Imagine following your mentor on a mission. It was all about daily lives among the people. It was about interacting with people. They need to see and v11 Jesus thus revealed his glory and his disciples put their faith in him.
In the same way, discipleship is about walking and doing at the same time, so that your life is made known and shown.
The second part of John 2 (v12-25), Jesus revealed his purposes and the intent of his coming.
The glory and the miracles that was made known was for a purpose. It was about rebuilding the temple and attain back the glory for God.
Reclaim the lost land and establish your purpose in God.
Leadership is not about charging, but a charging towards a intend. You have to lead your disciples for a purpose.
The immediate leadership role I have is for my family. Lord help me to lead them and disciple them that they may know their purposes in God and that they may see the glory of God and walk and grow in faith each day.
I am not perfect, full of sin, yet if I stop walking with you, nobody will follow, all will stop. Move me on and regain the heartbeat of yours in my life. Ministry is about people, is about interaction. Lead me back in this area.

John 1
On Thursday, I accompanied my father to cancer center for chemothraphy. I asked him to read John 1, and he did. Amen.
Not a easy chapter 1 to read. The word is God and God is light and of course they all refer to Jesus. This is a lot of stuff in theology.
To sum up in 2 points:
Open my eyes that I see Jesus (John 1:32)
Open my heart that I may know God (1:45)
John was the one to come before Christ, and witness about Christ. In Isaiah, it was mentioned that before the coming of the Messiah, Elijah or at least one of the prophet was to come first. That was why the priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask John. But when he asnswered that he was not Elijah, then of course the one whom he witness should not be Christ. Again a lot of stuff in theology.
In contrast, the simple fisherman like Peter, Andrew, Philip and Nathanael knew that Jesus was the Messiah. So is it a matter of too much head knowledge and too little of the heart?
I used to be one that need to know all about God before I can accept Him. My father however, need not to know about God, but that was because he has not desire to know such God.
At least, I seek to know God, I found Christ. First is about knowing that there is a God, about Jesus. My father may know that there is a God, but refuse to know that He is almighty. He believe in himself. So sad, but I will refuse to bear the responsible on the day of his death and he has not accept Christ.
John came. He bore witness to Christ. Some believe while other not.
Jesus came and John saw the spirit of god on Jesus and knew that that must be Christ. The disciples were told of Jesus by John and they followed Jesus.
Open my spiritual eyes that I may see things beyond my understanding. Open my father eyes that he may see the realness of God. Open my heart to see these dying people that do not know you.
It is not about theology, it is about the love of God that sent christ for us. OPen my heart to incline to your heartbeat. Amen.

Joshua 9
The Gibeonite Deception
Like Rahab, the Gibeonite heard about God and all His works. In contrast to the kings who ganged up against Israel, they went to seek alliance.
9:1 As soon as all the kings who were beyond the Jordan in the hill country and in the lowland all along the coast of the Great Sea toward Lebanon, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, heard of this, 2 they gathered together as one to fight against Joshua and Israel.
Like Rahab, they have not seen God, but have heard. They fear and knew that destruction is near. They rather be servants. What is then my heart?
Have you not heard? Have you not seen? the Lord is the everlasting God!
What do I fear? Or is it that I do need God anymore?
The Israelites did not inquired about the alliance. 14 So the men took some of their provisions, but did not ask counsel from the Lord.
I pray that my mind be focus on knowing God and in whatever I do I seek Him.
I present The Isaiah Initiative to you. In all the trade and transactions, le me seek your counsel, not my wisdom, so that sucess is due to you.
I present my family to you. As a father, the leader, I pray that I will guide and direct my children know God and to see the love between Rachael and myself. Lord help me.
OPen my ears that I may hear from you and my eyes that I may see. Let me seek you and know the path you have showed me.
