31 Dec 2010; Rev 4

Rev 4
Heaven is busy. Heaven is real.

John was in the spirit, he was carried away adn saw what heaven was like.

There is a throne, where the creator was seated. Real or dreaming?

It was also recorded not only by John, but by Daniel, Paul and Peter about heaven. Rev 4 mentioned about the 4 living creatures and they were mentioned likewise in other books. So heaven is real.

The elders are busy, bowing down and worship this living God. Their job seems boring, repetitive and doing the same thing bowing and worship again and again. The world described these jobs as boring. not fun. Rather go for the enjoyment, the status, the power the etc.

But if heaven is real and the jobs of the elders are real, and if we find them boring, then there are some mismatch in what we are created for. We are very part of the world, in it and for it.

It is sad and even for myself, that we are made for God and we should be in the world and not part of the world.

Go for the real thing in heaven and love it because the world don't care.

God is real. The things in neaven is real, then be busy with the real things that will last eternity and go for God.

Rev 3

Still dwelling on Rev 3 as I come by this blog from Tim Archer, that even Ps Edmund Chan wrote a comment on Rev 3.

Taken from his blog:
When Jesus addressed the Christians of this city in the book of Revelation, he used an illustration they would understand: “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm — neither hot nor cold — I am about to spit you out of my mouth” (Revelation 3:15-16). The Greek word translated “spit” is more accurately translated “vomit.” It’s an unpleasant image for an unpleasant condition: Christians who have lost their passion, who have compromised their loyalty to Christ.

If you are a Christian, but find that lukewarm describes your faith, let me encourage you to go back to the basics. Focus on Bible study and prayer. Find a church and make yourself an active part of it. Reconnect with God each week by participating in the Lord’s Supper.

Nobody likes lukewarm. Nobody wants to be lukewarm. And nobody wants Jesus to “spit them out.” If you need help rekindling your faith or don’t know where to find a church to be a part of, just leave a comment or contact us through this site

3 more letters to the churches.

The churches symbolize the concern of Christ. The precious 7 stars that was held in his hands.

15 “‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! 16 So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. 17 For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see. 19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. 21 The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

It is about yes or no. Hot or cold, rich or poor.
Be not either. The world blurred the yes and the no, - do not compromise with the world.

The world entice us with riches, material needs, and by gaining them, we think that we have the best of the world. Regardless, Jesus say that there is something more, something else. If we think that gold is good, how about gold refine in fire. Do not be satisfied with the what the world can offer.

If Jesus stand at the door and know, do we pretend that we are sleeping and cannot hear Him, or are we too busy with the matters of the world, that we cannot go and open the door?

Here is a guest above all guests. Imagine in your house now, there are other guests and friends, surely you will want to put aside all others for Christ, or it or that let me entertain all of them including Christ.

In all I do, let me choose no compromise with the world.

12 Dec 2010; Rev 1-2

Revelation 1-2
The Letters to the 7 churches.

Jesus offer who He is, He gave the churches the hope.

The church were in many areas wrong in their doing and in many ways, fallen to the teaching of false teachers and teachings.

4 But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first.

This against the churches spoke to me about the fundamental relationship with Jesus. My first love.

As we grow, the many things of this world busy us and we forgot about how we began simply wanting to know and be with Jesus.

Revelation is a big book, it is about the war between heaven and earth, good and evil. Well none of my business. Good, for wehn we want the matters of God to be left alone and are satisfied with the little things or busy with the things of the world, Satan will leave us alone.

But when God' matter matter to us, it is going to be a war.

Jesus address speacially to the 7 churches - they are important to Him. We are important to Him. Because we are to carry out the mandate Christ has given to us.

But as we do, false righteousness comes in. We gave excuses for doing what is wrong to be what is right and what is right to be what is wrong. And worse of all, sexual immorality.

But Jesus gave the hope, the battle cry. The letter to the church always end with promises from Christ.

Taking the key word and the 1 out of the 2 main problems found in the churches - first love and false teaching and self rightoueness, Let me grow deep with Jesus.

12 Dec 2010; Growing depth

I have made no resolution for 2011.

I cannot remember the resolution I have made in 2009 for 2010. Even if I can remmeber, 2010 has been a up and down year.

For 2011, I will ask the Lord "How have I been growing deep in love with you"

It is a simple question, but it answer and keep me asking the intend and purpose for the things that I am doing.

For the many things I will be doing and the many decisions I will be making - How will all these doing make me grow deep in love with Jesus.

Even so when I lead my family and do things with them, how can I lead them to grow deep with Jesus.

At the end of the year, I will seek and ask the Lord again for this simple apprisal - How have I grow deep in love with you.

7 Dec 2010; Revelation

Rev 1
1:1 The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants [1] the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant [2] John, 2 who bore witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. 3 Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.

God I know, Jesus I know, but that's the name, the object. Who is then God and who is then Jesus?

The who is about a relationship. Who is God, who is God to you? Who is Jesus, who is Jesus to you?

I am not going into a theological debate about who Jesus is to me. But personally what is the encounter you have with God and with Jesus.

In revelation, God reveal Jesus to John through his angel. John witnessed and saw all that God reveal about Christ was, is and is to come. The purpose - for the time is near. End Time.

In this world that money, status and power matters, who cares about the end of time is near, so who cares about who Jesus and God is to me.

Salvation has made cheap, call upon the name of God, say the sinner prayers and believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and have wash your sins away ...

That walk, that desire to walk with Jesus is gone.

That speak of myself. Keep that fire in me and maintain that desire. That I may walk with closeness with my Lord. Lord lead me that I will follow and see and allow you to reveal your coming to me. For the time is near.

My children and my family see how I keep close with you, not a show, but a real desire to walk close to walk in both good and bad times. For regardless, the time is near and knowing that Jesus has already triumph over evil.

Keep my heart beat be beating together with yours.

6 Dec 2010; 2 Sam 24

2 Sam 24:
This is the last chapter of Samuel.

It ended with a low key in David's life. But one atttitude about him, is that he was conscience stricken after he counted his fighting men. When the plague fell on the people, he pleaded that they were sheeps, innocent, let him and his family suffer the what the wrong he has done.

Idle
When David idle, something bad happen. Lust took over him and this time pride and a show of power and status. Let our mind be active, active in the works of our Lord.

Mercy
David choose the mercy of God over the mercy of men. He knew very well the nature of God - His grace, mercy, forgiveness... but for men - David knew the dark side in them.

v14 Let us fall into the hand of the Lord, for his mercy is great; but let me not fall into the hand of man.”

Companssion
17 Then David spoke to the Lord when he saw the angel who was striking the people, and said, “Behold, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly. But these sheep, what have they done? Please let your hand be against me and against my father's house.”
What is our attitude towards evil? and the suffering of others? It is about then our root in this God of Love. If there is no love, evil acts will be "fun".

The story of John, ended in the same way Peter was cast out. But John last chapter wrote about the restoration of Peter.

In the same way, David was restored after he
25 And David built there an altar to the Lord and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the Lord responded to the plea for the land, and the plague was averted from Israel.

It is about God and how we keep close to Him. Depart from me and I am nothing. Remain in Him. God is the everlasting God. If God were to end the stroy of David and Peter in such a low key, where is the hope in Christ? His faithfulness, His love for us and His mercy. The restoration is about these character of our loving God.

3 Dec 2010; 2 Sam 23

2 Sam 23
David had more than 30 mighty men. Some died and were replaced by others.

David ruled over them and these men were local to David.

Wow, how the Lord had bless David.

David was a fighter himself. He had fought Goliath and many other battles. These men probably had known that and respect David.

When David was on exile from Absalom, he gathered more men. I believed these men found leadership in David and thus followed David.

The secret of David success:

v3 When one rules justly over men,
ruling in the fear of God,
4 he dawns on them like the morning light,

5 “For does not my house stand so with God?
For he has made with me an everlasting covenant,
ordered in all things and secure.
For will he not cause to prosper
all my help and my desire?

2 Dec 2010; 2 Sam 22

2 Sam 22

I have no lack of enemies. There are work, distractions and many many things of this world that needs my attention. It is a never ending from rest.

How david find rest from his enemies and from King Saul? v1And David spoke to the Lord the words of this song on the day when the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul

David experienced the pressure, but

7 “In my distress I called upon the Lord;
to my God I called.
From his temple he heard my voice,
and my cry came to his ears.

How often do I called upon the Lord? How often do I run to Him? Sorry.
I have taken pressure and pleasure into my own hands.

19 They confronted me in the day of my calamity,
but the Lord was my support.
20 He brought me out into a broad place;
he rescued me, because he delighted in me.

I will be busy, but busy for what purposes. Let me be a God fearing man. The key to David having the "support" of the Lord is

21 “The Lord dealt with me according to my righteousness;
according to the cleanness of my hands he rewarded me.
22 For I have kept the ways of the Lord
and have not wickedly departed from my God
23 For all his rules were before me,
and from his statutes I did not turn aside.
24 I was blameless before him,
and I kept myself from guilt.
25 And the Lord has rewarded me according to my righteousness,
according to my cleanness in his sight.

How can I and God be one, if I choose a wicked path. How can I expect God be fighting along side with me? God may choose to stay away from such unrighteous person.

26 “With the merciful you show yourself merciful;
with the blameless man you show yourself blameless;

Set yourself right before God.

30 For by you I can run against a troop,
and by my God I can leap over a wall.

40 For you equipped me with strength for the battle;
you made those who rise against me sink under me.

And this is the promise I want to claim:

44 “You delivered me from strife with my people; [8]
you kept me as the head of the nations;
people whom I had not known served me.

When somthing bad happen, what do you do? Blame it on someone, on something, some situation, or just pure luck.

A famine broke out for one year. Just the weather...
A famine continue for the second year, pray that it will be over soon
A famine still on for the third year. David sought the face of the Lord.

God answered and explained the cause.

Problem starts, with my effort it should be solved, the problem continue, pray that it will be over. The problem continue, sought the Lord.

Why not sought the Lord in the first place?

I am feeling a famine in my walk with you. I have not known where and what to do or simply being in your presence.

But I remembered, the week I sought you in early dawn prayers. A break through happen for my family.

Le me sought you and ask so that I cam simply listen to what you have to sy for me to being or to act.

2 Sam 20
Mistake after mistake David made.

First he had left the concubines as widows. When I read this I felt so unfair.
second, he made Amasa as the commander instead of Joab. Joab killed Amasa. Joab would have rebel against David and caused another unroar for David.

david has just settle the rebellion of his son Absalom.

David was a fighter, but not a ruler of his internal household. He was indeed great to rule Israel, Judah and against the enemies of God. But where is the balance?

It is sad to see our ministry expanded but yet in the end loses our love ones. But what is God intend? What has God call me to?

God has called me to Him. He gave me a family, for the vision He showed me was big and it probably need generations of work. He gave me Josef my first born. He made me a father, a husband, the head of my houshold.

I am not in ministry, then get the household in order, that they may walk the same way I walk with God. When I am in ministry, let them see how the Lord lead, and I follow, that they may follow too.

Teach me this balance between minstry and my family. My family is my ministry too. Amen.

Absalom was dead. David mourn for him, so much more that Joab was unhappy that David was concern about Asalom than the men who fought for David.

My father was dead, and I felt a sense of in-depth to him, that I have not done enough for him. He has unselfish, always putting others above self.

Yes, that was still anger in me because ....

David claimed back Jerusalem and we saw in the passage David pronounce judgement on the people who did him wrong. In many surprises, he choose to forgive.

Forgive. Of course to the person who has determine that is no fault of him, he has done nothing wrong. There was no need to aplogize nor a need to ask for forgiveness. But to me, it has caused pain in me to see my father sitting at the back of the kitchen to take his meal. Isolated.

Well, all is gone, the chapter is closed, BUT to me I will take down my pride just as Daivd has - forgive. To me, I will not consider myself above others so that least of all, that some may come to know Christ.

2 Sam 15
Why did Absalom need to rebel and set himself king over David? His conspiracy worked and he did it by buying over the heart of the people.

But he did not set his heart right with God. David would not kill the Lord annointed one, but Absalom would. The focus on the kingdom become too important for him, so much more than to rebel against his own father.

To me what more important is my walk with God and my family. These are 2 that will last eternally.

I am set as the head of the household, so Lord teach me to lead my family. Lead me so that I can teach them to lead a life that fear the Lord. for then they will know the right way to live a life worthy of conduct.

David grew in stature. Another set of problem arises - family and siblings rivalry.

Is it part of a generation curse of lust that passes on from David to his son Amnon?

Did David bring up well the next generation?

The acts by David's son are not to be condone.

As parent, as the first generation of believer in the family, how do we bring up the next generation?

My sons and daughter do not seek and know God. They know God first and therefore we need to help them seek Him out.

Indeed as first generation Christian, there are many unseen things in the spiritual realms as well as physical that is called the generation curse. Lord I want to put them behind and that what the previous generation did to my generation will not be pass down to the next generation.

2 Sam 11-12
David and Bathsheba.

What Daivd did displeases the Lord. 12:8 And I gave you your master's house and your master's wives into your arms and gave you the house of Israel and of Judah. And if this were too little, I would add to you as much more. 9 Why have you despised the word of the Lord, to do what is evil in his sight?

What went wrong. David was not fighting when it was time for kings to be fighting. He stood outside. Nothing wrong, He saw Batsheba, nothing wrong. Bathsheba bath outside. David saw. Well nothing David can do.

But the problem starts becasue David choose not to stop there.

There are many temptations, but are they beyond what we can bear. Joseph did the right thing, he remove himself away from the source of temptation. But the greatest is this Joseph, so that he may not sin against the Lord.

David recognised that he has sin against the Lord. But has already given in.

Lord, as for me rid me of sins so that I may not sin against you. I am not perfect, the temptations are not perfect, but I should not give in and test how much I can take them.

11 And he said, “If the Syrians are too strong for me, then you shall help me, but if the Ammonites are too strong for you, then I will come and help you. 12 Be of good courage, and let us be courageous for our people, and for the cities of our God, and may the Lord do what seems good to him.”

Joab, the commander of the Israel's army said the above. He did and plan as what man should do, but may the Lord do waht seems good to him.

The battle is for the people, for God and the results belong to Him. Such is the attitude of Joab.

Lord, in the same way, let my attitude be like that of Joab. Be it unto you, according to you will.

6 Oct 2010; 2 Sam 9

2 Sam 9
David knew that God has established his kingdom. He knew that God has also disposed of Saul. He loved Jonathan. He married Saul daughter.

He did not rejoiced over the death of Saul, nor did he plot against Saul to kill him. To many of Saul's follower, it seem right to favour David and uses the death of Saul to gain status.

David showed kindness to Joanthan by having Mephibosheth the son of Jonathan, son of Saul to eat at his table and have all, v7 And David said to him, “Do not fear, for I will show you kindness for the sake of your father Jonathan, and I will restore to you all the land of Saul your father, and you shall eat at my table always.”

First David did not rejoice over the death of his enemies, in particular the Lord's annointed. Secondly, he remembered Jonathan who had helped him.

David acts look very man-way of appreciation. But looking at his heart, he remembered the goodness that the Lord had showered on him, concerning Saul, regarding Jonathan.

Rememberer the blessings , rememberer the goodness of the Lord, in good times and in bad times. It sound easy to remember the Lord in good time. But most would knew that success is through their own strength and forget that it was the Lord that has bring us so far.

Count my blessings. The Lord has bless me with Rach and 3 lovely children. A father that has brought me up. A sound mind that I may know the Lord, have a good job that I enjoyed as well as ventured into business... Thank you

v14 the Lord gave victory to David wherever he went. 15 So David reigned over all Israel. And David administered justice and equity to all his people

What was the secret of David success? Simply the Lord establish them.

The is nothing much you should do, except to abide in the Lord. David started of simply tending sheep for his father, fought Goliath because he defiled the army of God. David choose not to touch the Lord's annointed one and whatever he does, david has God in his heart.

Yes, everyone want the success, but success started with us right with God. Help me Lord to keep my family right with you, that my wife and children will know you and love you. May you be please with the works of our hearts and that they may be pleasing unto you.

2 Sam 7
Do you have the heart for God? 你有上帝的心吗?

2 the king said to Nathan the prophet, “See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of God dwells in a tent.”

David was not asking the Lord for a blessings. the Lord did not ask Him to build a house so that His glory may be made know. David did not ask the Lord what he can do for Him and the Lord answered do this or that.

This was what the Lord said, 6 I have not lived in a house since the day I brought up the people of Israel from Egypt to this day, but I have been moving about in a tent for my dwelling. 7 In all places where I have moved with all the people of Israel, did I speak a word with any of the judges [1] of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd my people Israel, saying, “Why have you not built me a house of cedar?”’

The people of Israel, none of them had mentioned to each other or suggest in one way or another to build a house for the Lord, assuming that the tent was fine for the Lord. Or it was with the assumption that if the Lord wants to build Himself a house He would asked someone to do it.

Of course if you have not know God, fine. But if you have known God, who is the Lord to you. He who has bless you so much. Yes it is easy to ask what you want me to do and I will do it for you. Sure?

god is just the Lord who wanted you heart. He dont need anything from you and He lack nothing. If he say so, it will be done. So it is not the things you can do for Him, it is your heart.

What is then that you are doing throughout the day that God is still in your heart?

2 Oct 2010; 2 Sam 5-6

2 Sam 5-6
David wanted to bring back the ark, but on the way back, 6:v6 And when they came to the threshing floor of Nacon, Uzzah put out his hand to the ark of God and took hold of it, for the oxen stumbled. 7 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah, and God struck him down there because of his error, and he died there beside the ark of God. 8 And David was angry because the Lord had burst forth against Uzzah.

Should David be angry? Of course, as man. The intention he started was good t- bring the ark back, but something went wrong and the ark was not back where David indented. In addition, someone died.

v9 And David was afraid of the Lord that day, and he said, “How can the ark of the Lord come to me?”

His anger turned to fear. Why? who are we to be angry with God? What do we have against Him? The Lord choose He chooses.

Yes David was angry at first, man nature, but he saw and realised the sovereignty of God.

Recognize the sovereignty of God. Who are we man against God? If we knew who this God is, we will be like Daivd who fear Him more than we are angry with him.

2 Sam 4:
David has shown consistency that he will not kill the Lord's annointed. Because he feared the Lord, even though Saul sought to kill him.

In this similar occassion, men brought the head of Israel king Saul's son head to David, hoping to gain favour from David. David had them killed.

David fought the house of Saul, but has chosen again and again that his battle is not for gaining nor for securing his kingdom.

Lord, thank you for your many blessings. Thank you for your technical break through in my project and thank you for profits from forex. Not for personal gain nor success through a means that step down on others or through ungodly ways.

Consistency in the Lord and that unwavering fact that the Lord is God.

2 Sam 3
3:1 There was a long war between the house of Saul and the house of David. And David grew stronger and stronger, while the house of Saul became weaker and weaker.

The bible did not details all the events that lead to David becoming stronger. But compare to the house of Saul, who is 10 Ish-bosheth? He was the son of Saul, whom the army commander made Abner made him the king.

David, first has the annointing of the Lord. He has the support of the people (Judah), he has his warriors that went through thick and thin with him, and he himself has fought battles. He was no puppet.

Events unfold. David become king and even Abner turn to David. The kingdom of Saul was over. People fought each other to gain what is not theirs, to prove their worth. They strong and never give up character tell them that they will strive and gain their dreams if they press on. Good. but where is God? They are for themselves, their achive are for themselves.. me and I.

Be therefore with God and in God. A purpose driven life is about God, the worth that we are pursuing.

Lord I pray for storys to unfold, what and where do you want me to lead my family?

I thank you for testimonies to share with my kids. I asked for 1 you gave 2. One is for my drware key which you reveal its whereabout in the secret place and the other is car parking at nlk 28 B1.

Lead me as I grow my children and my family stronger and stronger each day in the Lord.

Saul is dead. David did not take advantage to return to Israel as king. He still inquired of the Lord in his every ways.

David heart was always for the Lord. It was not the kingdom that he wanted. He did not view that does who treated Saul well as enen=mies and he did not treat Saul badly as allies. Saul is still the Lord's annointed. God is still the first.

David knew that if God is for him, that will be goog enough.

What do you have install for my family. I pray for your blessings, for your pursposes to show. Let me not be concern about the fall of my enemies, because, it is the Lord who bless.

Lord, raise me up to lead my family in the things you have called us to.

It is a bit disheartening to read about the state of Saul. He started off well, but ended but badly. What if you are in the state as him, the need to shoulder the responsibility of fighting the Philistines but when you inquired of the Lord, nothing heard out?

It's not worth it. Unless the Lord move, I will not leave the place. If the Lord has reject me as the king, so be it. Give it to David. Why cling on and risk your life and that of your sons for something so intangible. I will rather spend my days waiting on the Lord, knowing that I have erred and come in repentent.

I am not worthy. I have failed in many ways like Saul. forgive me. Repent, repent repent.

As for David, 29:v4 For how could this fellow reconcile himself to his lord? Would it not be with the heads of the men here?

This is David - He is for the Lord. Nothing matter to him, not the world but the Lord's.

David escaped to Phiilitines. He escaped from Saul.

He and his mem lived in a foreign land with fear. When they raid, they killed eveyone least that anyone alive breathe about what they do. Such was the condition David stay and not knowing what next for if the king of Achish found out, David would be in trouble.

But the tribe that David killed was the inhabitants of the land from the old. this meant that David was purging the land what his forefathers failed to do, but what God has commanded.

David was the leader. There was no one above him except God. I can feel the responsibility as well as the decisions he had to made each day for survival. But in all he did, David must have put his focus on God, least that he err against God. He has no cousuel of the prophets and therefore was God and him.

David is now on his own with Saul pursuing him. I see this time as training for David. He had a band of men following him. In the last chapter, David managed to conviced his men not to kill Saul because Daivd would not kill the Lord's anointed.

In this chapter, David is going to kill Nabal and every male in his family. A woman named Abigail was discerning and beautiful. She interceed for Nabal and made peace with David. David thus spared Nabal.

33 Blessed be your discretion, and blessed be you, who have kept me this day from bloodguilt and from avenging myself with my own hand! 34 For as surely as the Lord, the God of Israel, lives, who has restrained me from hurting you.

Let the one who lack wisdom and discretion ask from the Lord, least that our decisions plundered.

14 Sep 2010; 1 Sam 24

1 Sam 24:
2 Then Saul took three thousand chosen men out of all Israel and went to seek David and his men

Saul did not managed to kill David, but instead David managed to cut off a corner of Saul's robe. David spared Saul, because David recognised that Saul was the Lord's anointed.

We pursue tasks with our strength and not by the Lord's. We failed to acknowledge that the Lord's is powerful. He bless and he anoints. We can do much with Him than with our own strength.

We need to recognise the sovereignty, those that He anoints. Be a trend follower, follow His will.

13 Sep 2010; 1 Sam 23

1 Sam 23:
In his running, David always inquired of the Lord. Sometimes the answer was a yes and sometime it was a no

David accepted both answers in all situations and heed the Lord instructions.

How much do I inquired of the Lord to allow him to lead me.. everyday, every step?

12 Sep 2010; 1 Sam 20-22

1 Sam 20:
Jonathan and Saul was son and father relationship and nothing can change that.

But Jonathan knew who david was and would become. Wise. It was years later that when David became king and put to rest his enemies, that David remembered Jonathan decendent and keep him with David.

I pray for many more of such Godly friends who knew you.

1 Sam 21-22
And Doeg the Edomite turned and struck down the priests, and he killed on that day eighty-five persons who wore the linen ephod. 19 And Nob, the city of the priests, he put to the sword; both man and woman, child and infant, ox, donkey and sheep, he put to the sword.

Saul had oredred the killings. The same way Saul was tasked to destroy the Amalek and deveote to destruction, Saul killed Ahimelech the priest, his family as well as the city dwellers of Nob where Ahimelech the priest stayed.

Such irony.

Saul has uses his authority as king, and allowed his anger to overcome him.

I pray for such evil and harmful spirit to dwell in me, and my household. Let resentment, anger be gone. Let peace and good relationship surpasses. Tired is the word and I am caught in between. Let there be no hatred, let peace, le peace dwell.

10 Sep 2010; 1 Sam 19

1 Sam 19:
9 Then a harmful spirit from the Lord came upon Saul..

Is there such thing as a evil or a harmful spirit from the Lord? It is the Lord who harden the heart of the Egyptian Pharoah..

Judges 9:23
And God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the leaders of Shechem...

What is all these? Its not only evil, but also anything that is heart hardening..

Are these just the problems of translating the bible from Greek/Hebrews to English?

I am not sure. But I will like to quote from Paul in 2 Cor 12
6 Though if I should wish to boast, I would not be a fool, for I would be speaking the truth. But I refrain from it, so that no one may think more of me than he sees in me or hears from me. 7 So to keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, [1] a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited. 8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

His grace is sufficent for me.

9 Sep 2010; 1 Sam 18

1 Sam 18
David grew in status and in power, while Saul power decreases. Saul must have felt very lousy as David grew stronger.

Saul was clinging his kingdom. He had forgotten that it is the Lord who had allow Israel to set up a king. In the first place there was no king, the Lord Himself is the king.

The world view us the way Saul saw the importance of his kingdom. He has clung very much to what the Giver has given and has forgotten about his Giver.

Lost sight of the Giver, the gift will lose its meaning. Just part of the world that comes and go without purposes. Like Saul fighting to hold on to the gift and not the Giver.

8 Sep 2010; 1 Samuel 16-17

1 Samuel 16-17
The Lord prepares. David faced Goliath. He chose 5 stones, but used only 1. In fact David has no second chance, for when he struck Goliath, Goliath fell facedown. Goliath must have been charging at good speed.

Yes the Lord fights for David, but the Lord has prepared David. Daivd has fought a bear and a lion and killed both of them when they tried to attack his sheep. David has served Saul in his courts and as gain favour from Saul. The fact was that if David loses the fight, the Israelites were to become servants of the Philistine. It is therefore a big gamble on Saul to allow David to fight.

We faced many decisions, many fights, battles, struggle and victories. The Lord prepares us for a greater purpose.

8 Sep 2010; 1 Samuel 15

1 Samuel 15
The Lord annoints and the Lord rejects. I have questions, but this does not speak about a unfaithful God. Whether He annoint or rejects, He is still my Lord my God. The Lord has annointed you or has rejected you for a task or for an assignment. He is still the faithful and unfailing God. Would you accept the annointing but not the rejection.

Readings from Isaiah 41- 45

The Lord is with you and has called you!

Amen and these are the words I received from the Lord.
The world may collapse around me, but my purpose for you is clear.

I am already past my mid life, Lord let me waste any more time, use me Lord.
I know I am not righteous, my heart is filled with dirt, not worthy. I have wasted my time, I pray that you will make them up.

Open my eyes that I will see the day of the Lord coming, that the day will come and I will see the desert turn into pools of water and river flow in barren heights.

the day the Lord I will soar with the Lord like wings on eagle to see the lost coming back to the Lord. Amen.

Isa 41:18 I will open rivers on the bare heights,
and fountains in the midst of the valleys.
I will make the wilderness a pool of water,
and the dry land springs of water.

Isa 42:6 “I am the Lord; I have called you in righteousness;
I will take you by the hand and keep you;
I will give you as a covenant for the people,
a light for the nations,
7 to open the eyes that are blind,
to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon,
from the prison those who sit in darkness.

Isa 43:10 “You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord,
“and my servant whom I have chosen,
that you may know and believe me
and understand that I am he.
Before me no god was formed,
nor shall there be any after me.
11 I, I am the Lord,
and besides me there is no savior.
12 I declared and saved and proclaimed,
when there was no strange god among you;
and you are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and I am God.

Isa 43:18 “Remember not the former things,
nor consider the things of old.
19 Behold, I am doing a new thing;
now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness
and rivers in the desert.

Isa 45: 2 “I will go before you
and level the exalted places, [1]
I will break in pieces the doors of bronze
and cut through the bars of iron,
3 I will give you the treasures of darkness
and the hoards in secret places,
that you may know that it is I, the Lord,
the God of Israel, who call you by your name.

Luke 11:1-13

When the dicisples asked Jesus how to pray, He gave them a template. That was because they have asked for one just as John had taught his disciple how to pray.

Jesus followed by a stroy of a man in boldness asking for bread for his host. Jesus followed by stating that ask and you will be given, seek and you will find, know and it will be open for you.

What is the story has to do with prayer? Is our God like the sleepy man who refuse to wake up to open the door to give bread to the asking man?

Jesus finally conclude the story as evil man we know how to give good gifts to our children, how much more is our God who give us not only good gifts but the Holy Spirit!

There is no need for a template for prayer, not that we need one. But how often do we pray? How often have we ask, seek or knock? God is not like the sleepy man, He is the God of the how much more, who gave us the Holy spirit!

When we work, we work and when we pray, God work- a phase by Ps Edmund Chan

He wants to bless and he know why we want the bread for, will he not give. As a father, I know what my child need before he ask, how much more my God know, do I still need to pray?

Yes, with boldness like the man who ask and with God who has given us the Holy Spirit, surely much much more the Lord will desire us to come not to ask for good gifts but to commune with Him.

Amen.

15 June 2010

It has been sometime that I have not blog my time alone with God.

Reading the word is like building a house, planting a tree. Once you stop, the buidling stop, the growth stops. The maintanence stops.

Rev 1-2
Repent!
I serve a God of who knows.
Rev 1:8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

“To the angel of the church in Ephesus, v4 But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first.

God knows. It is not about doing, speaking or acting what is right or righteous. It is your heart. Where is that first love?

It is easy for others to see what you don't do, but in the secret, the checking is done by no one but God. Nobody knows, but is your heart still right with God. He searches the deepest part of our heart - that is when the real test come. I have failed, sorry. But I repent, because I want my God who loves me. Not to do something right for others to see, but to do the right things for Him when noboby sees.

I serve a God who has the power and the authority.
2:1 him who holds the seven stars in his right hand

What other controls do we need? v14 But I have a few things against you: you have some there who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, so that they might eat food sacrificed to idols and practice sexual immorality.

Why then do I still hold on to things that I think can give me that freedom, that control. Give back the control, that steering wheel to Jesus who direct your destination.

I wanted so much control and have refuse to let go of what I think I know best. Repent, for Jesus you take the wheel. I no need to be that somebody that nobody needs to know, but I just need to be that nobody that my Jesus knows.

I serve a God that dwells among men.
2:1who walks among the seven golden lampstands

2:20 But I have this against you, that you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and is teaching and seducing my servants [3] to practice sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols.

Whom do you choose, and what do you choose? What compromise I have conceded to accept the world and Christ? I have not choose the Lord my God first nor major in what is important to me.

Repent, for I am a child of God and my God dwells among me. In His presence that I may allows god to do His will in me, not I to do the will of God. He has chosen me, but I have compromise the full acceptance of christ in me.

god has promise and has reveal to us and to me great promise that I will soar with Him like wings on eagles. Lord, I come back to you. My strength is weak and my will withers. Lord, I come simple back into your presence, accepting your authority for indeed you are a God who was and is and is to comes.

1 Timothy 1
The relationship between Jesus and sinners is clear. He came for us. But do we seek Him?

The word and the law was given to us. God's word - wow. But for some we take them likely.

v14 and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

Who is Christ to me? Just some figure in the head, or some theological person whom I know can bring me to heaven and save me?

Paul know God, he thus persecuted Christ. But he now know Christ and through Jesus overflowed him with grace, faith and love. What is my experience? Where is the wow?

Paul claimed he is the foremost of sinners. Do I feel so? If not do I need Christ?

Because, Paul loved God, and know that Christ is God and Jesus has accepted him the worst of all sinners, he received the foremost in mercies.

Lord, I have to reset my relationship with you. I want to remember the time that I am worst of sins, I need you, not just head knowledge, but of faith, grace and love. Forgive me, cleanse my heart for it is not right with you. Forgive me of my wrong doings. It is this recognition of what a wrench I am, that I need Christ the most.

It is then that I see the grace and accept His mercies on me. Amen.

Ecclesiastes 12
12:1 Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near of which you will say, “I have no pleasure in them”;

The whole book of meaningless, sums up in one word - God. Without God, everything is meaningless.

The cycle of life turns round and round and repeats itself for generations to the next generations.

Everything you does will turn to dust. Good or evil will return to dust and there is no guarantee that if you are righteous you live longer or better life than an evil man.

This book of Ecclesiastes is book a purpose-driven life in God. That gives meaning and that gives joy to the work and the why do we toil.

Remember your creator. Least you forget Him.

Lord, let not the busyness of my life, nor of my busy toil and goals and dreams cloud my God. For without you, meaningless. The commitment, the plans, the achievement, they are from you.

I enjoy my work, because of you. I enjoy my family because of you. You have bless and have provided, the joy and the purposes. Amen.

Ecclesiastes 11
v4 He who observes the wind will not sow,
and he who regards the clouds will not reap.

5 As you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb [1] of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything.

6 In the morning sow your seed, and at evening withhold not your hand, for you do not know which will prosper, this or that, or whether both alike will be good.

Don't just dream, but work towards the dream. Yes there will be obstacles, and I definetely do not know what lies ahead. But I know I have a God.

It will be His battle plan. He is the CEO, the commander in chief. He will strategize and I will follow.

I will not lay back, but will put my commitment.

I will do and see the wow, to see how God did it and see the wow in Him. Amen.

Ecclesiastes 10
12 The words of a wise man's mouth win him favor, but the lips of a fool consume him.

As I read this word of wisdom, teach me Lord in how to carry a conversation well with people.

Let me Lord carry your wisdom in my speech, with confidence and with humility and sincerity. Christ in me.

Lord, let me build my confidence in you. I am sure of myself, because I have you. You have plans to propser me and I will held fast to your promises.

In a lot of ways, I have failed you. Sorry. I have depend on my own strength and I should relied on you.

Let me be reminded of why and for who am I doing II. Amen.

Ecclesiastes 9
7 Go, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart, for God has already approved what you do.

9 Enjoy life with the wife whom you love, all the days of your vain life that he has given you under the sun, because that is your portion in life and in your toil at which you toil under the sun.

The sad part of life is v3 that the same event happens to all. ... and after that they go to the dead.

It seems that you should enjoy the process and the partial rewards that you obtained from your toil. There is no point accumulating anything and triving to achieve anything, because the end is all will be dead and all all be forgotten and you may not live to enjoy what you reap.

Toil, enjoy, but life is made meaningful and purposeful only with God in the equation. I toil because this is what God has enable me to do. I reap the rewards of my toil, I enjoy it, because God has bless me so and I give thanks for it. I accumulate and achieve and leave a legacy, because God has permitted so and intend for a higher calling through me for His kingdom extension.

Remember the goodness of God. - Blessings, provision and abilities
Remember the greatness of God. - Nothing is impossible for Him
Remember the glandeur of God. - Purpose, leaving a legacy.

Lord, bless my hand for a higher purpose. I know I can because of you.

Ecclesiastes 8
What is good?
12 Though a sinner does evil a hundred times and prolongs his life, yet I know that it will be well with those who fear God, because they fear before him.

Why associate with evil, and compare with these people? Such negative and such feeling of unjustification.

The physical body will in time experience death, therefore fill our spirit with that of God. Fear Him.

Why pleasure and pressure for something that is not eternal?
15 And I commend joy, for man has no good thing under the sun but to eat and drink and be joyful, for this will go with him in his toil through the days of his life that God has given him under the sun.

Focus on and in the Lord and commit to Him.
Lord forgive me, that I have not focus on you. Let me enjoy what I have because of you and be satisfied by what you have already blessed me. Let my spirit and my energy be positive in you always.

Ecclesiastes 7
13 Consider the work of God:
who can make straight what he has made crooked?

14 In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider: God has made the one as well as the other

Live a balanced life.

20 Surely there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and never sins.

Do not be over righteous and of course refrain from evil.

Be able to give thanks in time of both prosperity and adversity. In giving thanks we acknowledge the works and the faithfulness of God. In handling adversity, we know that God is in control and learn to trust Him. When matter past, we give thanks and see how God has carried us through.

I live for the purpose of God, there is no obstacle too big because my God is bigger than the obstalce. He is my CEO and I will enjoy the fruit of the labour with Him.

Lord I pray for II for the coming training. Lord put it in prespective and see how to carried the first run to success. Help us to iron out the differences and let the plan be carried out be yours.

Use this as a learning platform for future success with you and through you. amen.

Ecclesiastes 6
v2 a man to whom God gives wealth, possessions, and honor, so that he lacks nothing of all that he desires, yet God does not give him power to enjoy them, but a stranger enjoys them.

Blessed is the man that God gives him his toil and he enjoys it.
Blessed is the man that he enjoys the rewards of his toil.
Blessed is the man who enjoys the rewards of his toil with his family and friends.
Blessed is the man who knows how to keep part of his reward for future growth and rewards.

7 All the toil of man is for his mouth, yet his appetite is not satisfied.

Be statisfied and know how to be statisfied. As you toil, enjoy it. And as you received the rewards of your toil, enjoy it. Rather, toil toil toil and horde horde horde, with no time for family and firends or even yourself to enjoy the process and enjoy part of the rewards.

As you toil, enjoy the reward as it comes. Of course, keep part of the rewards for further growth and future enjoyment.

Nevertheless, toil comes from God, enjoy the blessings given by God.

Ecclesiastes 5
4 When you vow a vow to God, do not delay paying it, for he has no pleasure in fools.

This reminds me of the book I read by T Harv Eker, "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind", that "ricj people keeps their commitment".

Likewise, what is our commitments to God. When we say it do it.

In addition, the book also mentioned about total commitment to the goal. That is serving the Lord your God whole heartedly, in spirit, in soul and everything.

10 He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves wealth with his income; this also is vanity.

Loving money is the pursuit of money and the hording of money. Thereby bypassing God in your first and rightful commitment. Serve God or serve money?

18 Behold, what I have seen to be good and fitting is to eat and drink and find enjoyment [7] in all the toil with which one toils under the sun the few days of his life that God has given him, for this is his lot.

Our commitment is God. Enjoy the process making money. God must be in the equation or else its is all meaningless!

Ecclesiastes 4
What's the point of doing evil? And enjoy the process, the pleasure of seeing other suffer as a result. Meaningless.

In the same light, v3 But better than both is he who has not yet been and has not seen the evil deeds that are done under the sun.

The solution to evil is righteousness in God. Ecc 4 does not say about suffering under evil. But we have a God to turn to.

Our toil because of envy.
v4 Then I saw that all toil and all skill in work come from a man's envy of his neighbor.

When our objectives for toil is because of a wrong motivation, we work to prove ourselves, pride. The intend will gives raise to not enough because there is always someone better. Look at the purposes of God.

9 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. 10 For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! 11 Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? 12 And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

This is nice, together in partner with God in your toil with someone.

I pray for II, that God you will use Rach and myself to purpose the toil. Remove the obstacles that block the prayers that hinder us from working together. Lord, bless my hand in II, search my heart and let it be tune to your purposes and intend.

Review your calling and show me the how to work towards what you have purposes in my life.

Ecclesiastes 3
A time for everything...

What is the point? Meaningless.

If you know that you are going to die, today or tommorrow, why bother. Therefore, v12 I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live; 13 also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is God's gift to man.

20 All go to one place. All are from the dust, and to dust all return. 21 Who knows whether the spirit of man goes upward and the spirit of the beast goes down into the earth? 22 So I saw that there is nothing better than that a man should rejoice in his work, for that is his lot.

Yes indeed, enjoy the food, the drink, the toil that God has bless.

The key is know that the Lord has blessed, it is not about because we are are waiting to die so there is no need to strive so hard.

Know the blessings, enjoy the blessings. But how can we rejoice in the work if we know that regardless we are going to die? The purpose.

The purpose bring about the meaning, the meaning allow us to enjoy the blessings and rejoice in the things that we are doing.

Ecclesiastes 2:
Enjoy life, that is good.

But even so, Solomon who has everything finds pleasure meaningless.

3 I searched with my heart how to cheer my body with wine—my heart still guiding me with wisdom—and how to lay hold on folly, till I might see what was good for the children of man to do under heaven during the few days of their life.

"My heart still guiding me with wisdom".

Enjoy the pleasures of the world and start losing your soul, because you get carried away. Look at what Solomon did - his heart still guiding him with wisdom.

v9 So I became great and surpassed all who were before me in Jerusalem. Also my wisdom remained with me.

In fact, he tolied for building up his pleasures, but he kept his heart from pleasure, and instead the pleasure comes from the toil. v10 for my heart found pleasure in all my toil, and this was my reward for all my toil.

Seeking pleasure is meaningless and it can be dangerous, unless the constraint of the heart to remain right in God. Solomon don't take pleasure from the things of the world, but from the toil he made to create these pleasures, because he knew that pleasure don't last and are meaningless to pursue.

24 There is nothing better for a person than that he should eat and drink and find enjoyment [2] in his toil. This also, I saw, is from the hand of God, 25 for apart from him [3] who can eat or who can have enjoyment?

The answer, pleasures comes from working and the work is a blessings from God. With God, enjoy the work He has blessed you and take pleasure from it

Ecclesiates 1
“Meaningless! Meaningless!” says the Teacher.
“Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless.” Ecclesiastes 1:2

This is the famous verse written by Solomon, the son of David, one with full wisdom given by God.

If everything is meaningless, why do this or that? Just laze around and wait to die.

There must be a higher intend and purspose for our being and the things that we do.

v3 What does man gain by all the toil at which he toils under the sun?
What meaning does it bring when we work? Just to bring bread on the table. It will never ends. Remember your creator, your God the Lord. The toll that we did is for Him, then enjoy.

4 A generation goes, and a generation comes, but the earth remains forever.
People gets married, have children and then what? Meaningless. Add god into the equation, children are a blessings from the Lord. Nuture them in the fear and in the ways of the Lord.

5 The sun rises, and the sun goes down, and hastens to the place where it rises.
Nobody cares, it is just a routine. Meaningless. Imagine, enjoy the sunset moments with your family and remember the goodness of our great God.

Likewise for the rest of the verse, add God into the equation and you will find the meaning.

The world do and did exactly what Ecc 1 said and v8 the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing.

The doing part or the purpose of doing is because of why are you doing all these. Why are you doing all these is because of I want to because of who I am. Who I am is because of my relationship with God. And who is this God? My master and my Lord.

Lord, I pray that the meaningless and routine task to become a purposeful one because of who am I and what bigger plan you have for my family. Amen.

Rom 15-16:
Building up
Wake up and move on. You have received much from god, from the blessings of His people. What are you doing with your life. Half of your time is over. Check your heart, you know the what, the where and the who, get your how from God and move on..

Lord raise me up as a leader in my family, my community and even so in your ministry and in your kingdom.

Builds up one another:
15:1 We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves. 2 Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.

The love of God allows us and wants us to build each other up. So that each one of us can be encouraged and ground our growth in Christ.

Let me, build my household on prayers, my family on love. Let me build them up on what God has given me and engage them by heart.

Building up your ministry:
15:16 because of the grace given me by God 16 to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles in the priestly service of the gospel of God, so that the offering of the Gentiles may be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

So far, I have not been in ministry. Is II my ministry? or am I working towards a higher calling that you have place in my heart?

Get moving. Be faithful with the small things and let God show me the big things.

Build up the church:
16:17 to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them.

Build up a community of believers that that support each other.

Romans 13-14

There is 3 portions to these passages.
The first is our vertical relationship with God and our subjects.
The second is our horizontal relationship with our peers.
The third is how we lived out these relationship in love and be subjected to God's love.

Follow and obey if you want to lead
13:1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God.

If you want to excerise authority on someone else, like your children or your students, then first and foremost, subject yourself to the headship of God.

Under the authority of God you are to do what is righteous. 13:4 for he is God's servant.

How can you pass authority on someone if you yourself has not obey God. For example, you want to punish your children for lying. But how can you do so, if you yourself lied to God. Therefore, subject yourself in order to subject others.

Follow on rather than passing judgement
In our relationship with peers and to people we are not subject to authority, we tends to pass judgement, because we feel that we stand on certain moral high ground. 14:4 Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another?

Our obedience in God and our righteousness in God is about our relationship with God. By this standards of obedience does not warrant us to consider others less rightous because they do not do the same thins as us.

Follow love
13:13 Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.

Our walk with God demands us to be in "moral high ground". Not for the sake that makes me better than others or makes me a better subject of God and therefore warrant a right to subject others.

It is our love for God that we wants to do so. The world satisfy the flesh by eating, drinking and sexual immorality. How can then we different from the world? In fact by not indulging in eating, drinking and sexual immorality, you have put yourself in a rightoues ground for an authority to teach and to rebuke others against them.

The next element is love. We did so because of God and not because of the need to teach, to rebuke.

Likewise, 14:18 Whoever thus serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men. 19 So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding.

My prayers:
Make me a righteous man in your sight. Forgive me of all my past wrong doing and cleasnse me of my acts in gratifying the flesh.

You have position me in authority, to teach and to rebuke. Therefore set me correct and rightoueus in your sight. Allow me to teach and rebuke in love, not for anything to gratify my flesh, but to point others back to you.

Romans 12

Living as an individual
12:1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, [1] by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.

This verse is not all, if we read on to verse 2, as indivual, surrender to God not only the physical, but also in spirit. V2 is our surrender to God in heart and mind.2
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern (about the heart) what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Therefore, our first living as a christian is about our total surrender to God, in body, spirit, mind and heart.

Living as a Family Unit
4 For as in one body we have many members, [5] and the members do not all have the same function,

each of us has been given different gifts. It is these gifts that make each of us different and it is these difference that make us complete as a unit for God.

Help me to nature and grow the different gifts in my children and my wife.

Living as a Christian community
10 Love one another with brotherly affection.

The world cannot see Jesus, but they can feel the love in us through them. Our actions, our speech bears the fruit and the tesimony of christ.

Prayers
Lord as an individual, I am a father, the head of my household, the husband of my wife. Lord, I prya for a surrender of self to you. Let my being in God be use as a living scarifice. Let me lead and let my family be a unit that bears the testimony for Christ.
