Deuteronomy 4, Luke 6:39-7:10, Psalm 68:1-18, Proverbs 11:28
I told Josef tonight about the story in Luke 7:1-10 about the centurion, his servant and Jesus.
The centurion can command Jesus to come and heal. He could with his status go to Jesus and his influence to 'force' Jesus to come. He did none of them but asked some elders and his friends to Jesus - not to ask Jesus to come but just say the words that his servant will be healed.
Jesus praise him for his faith. Why faith and not his humility? Faith is believing God to do the work and not use what we can work on to enhance faith. The centurion can command and get Jesus to heal because of his staus, because of his power, but he chose to believe Jesus and his word.
A lot of time, we use our knowledge, our strength and our own resources first to work on our problem and of course, we give god the glory when the things are solve. But what is best to to seek God first and let faith arise and believe God will work the problem.
Besides, Numbers 4:9 “Only take care, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. Make them known to your children and your children's children
It will be good to tell Josef my walk with God, my encounter and my faith in Him.
Lord, let me have more of you, that I have more to say about you. Let me see more of you so that I can witness more about you.
I also want to pray for Rachael, I pray for her flu, that you will sustain and heal her. She will be able to complete her tasks both in her tutorial and her school work.
I pray for my children that you will also make them strong, even though they are down with cough and running nose. I pray that you will keep them safe from any complications.
I pray for Jo math test tommorow. He has done well for his English, let him do well too for his maths, and let all glory goes to you as I know how much he has study for english (he was sick during weekend).
I pray also for tommorow, that I will have a chance to be you witness of you goodness.
