Ruth 4
Open My Eyes
Who is David? Most children will be able to answer this question. But who is the father of David and his grandfather? The bible gave then answer as Jesse and Obed. But who is the father of Obed? Again the bible gave the answer as Boaz, the husband of Ruth. v21 Boaz fathered Obed, 22 Obed fathered Jesse, and Jesse fathered David.
But exactly, and according to v10 Also Ruth the Moabite, the widow of Mahlon, I have bought to be my wife, to perpetuate the name of the dead in his inheritance, that the name of the dead may not be cut off from among his brothers and from the gate of his native place.
Obed was rightfully the son of Mahlon, the son of Elimelech, the husband of Naomi.
This was v6 Then the redeemer said, “I cannot redeem it for myself, lest I impair my own inheritance. Take my right of redemption yourself, for I cannot redeem it.”
BUT this was not what Boaz saw.
Beyond material wealth
The kinsman redeemer nearest to Naomi and Elimelech, did not mind to inherit the land, probably he find it a good investment, as Elimelech's son were dead. And so after the take over, the land is rightfully his and there will be no man in Elimelech family to challenge. But when the mentioned of Ruth, the redeemer gave up.
Towards kingdom inheritance
Boaz did what he promised Ruth. He did not see "burden" of giving Elimelech or Mahlon a continuation of the family line or inheritance. My take is that Boaz saw that as a law, the law that was given by God for the provision of the dead. He saw this as his responsibility and act accordingly to the commands of God.
The Application
Many of my decisions was based on short term gain, or what I can see not beyond this life or at most beyond the next generation. Open my eyes to see God. Let me see things beyond the material wealth or what the world see it as gain or lost. Open my eyes to gain the inheritance of the kingdom that is long lasting. Obed was mentioned as the son of Boaz and through this line came David and Jesus.
Open my eyes that I may see and make decisions for my family, even for II that seem not wise in the eyes of man, but pleasing to God. Amen.

Ruth 3
The Approaches
The laws concerning levirate marriage or kinsman redeemer is a provision that God gives to ensure that the dead man continues its family line. The first born son will be named after the dead man.
Ruth came to Judah without knowing these law or concept, and even if she did, the kinsman might reject the redemption. Ruth had in v10, you have not gone after young men, whether poor or rich. If she was such a woman, she would have remain in Moab.
There was something Ruth saw about Naomi and the God that Naomi worshipped. Ruth did not prepared for the best but it just happened to be gleaning in the field of Boaz and Boaz happened to be a kinsman redeemer.
Ruth obeyed Naomi to acts of boldness in approaching Boaz. Boaz would have rejected her and Ruth wold have put to shame.
What permit the boldness that Ruth to approach Boaz?
The God who cares
God who v9 Spread His wings over your servant, for you are a redeemer.
Wings in this context is protection, just like the way a mother hen protects her chicks. Likewise my children approach me as a father because they knew I have the best for them. When they are afraid, they can run to me.
The God who kept Promises
Boaz promises Ruth that he will redeem Ruth. He gave Ruth a v17, a six measures of barley as an oath that he will surely take actions. How well do we then take and claim this promises. How much do we desire God to fulfil His promises for us or do we really wants that promises.
The application
That I will soar with Him on wings like eagle... This time the wings is above protection, it is about soaring. This is a promises I will want to see God fulfilment in my life. How then should I approach God?
Like Ruth I will approach Boaz with boldness, knowing that my God will do what he will promises and has the ability to carry out that promises.
So it is not about God, but the way I will approach God and want to approach Him. Like Ruth who approach God, reject the other young and rich, v7 Then she came softly and uncovered his feet and lay down. I will check my heart that with the same aitltude I will apparoach my God. Amen

The concept of gleaning is about God's provision. During harvest, the harvester will leave the borders or some corners of the field unharvest or left some remnant harvest fall to the ground unpick. The intent is for the widows and orpahans to pick them up.
We are bless with plenty. Often the way to opening an investment of a soul for the kingdom of God is about starting a small blessing on others. It can be it our wealth, our time and our small acts of love.
It just happened, that Ruth glean in the field of Boaz. v3 So she set out and went and gleaned in the field after the reapers, and she happened to come to the part of the field belonging to Boaz, who was of the clan of Elimelech.

8 Then Boaz said to Ruth, “Now, listen, my daughter, do not go to glean in another field or leave this one, but keep close to my young women.
Boaz has the opportunity to speak to Ruth and interact with her. Boaz must have done his homework about Ruth. Ruth on the other hand was hardworking and Boaz took notice of that. Ruth probably knew that the field belong to Boaz, but who is Boaz to her and what is kinsman redemeer concept to Ruth who is a Moab? It was later v20 Naomi also said to her, “The man is a close relative of ours, one of our redeemers.”
Our interaction allow us to break ice and thus build a confidence trust with the non-believer. Because of Boaz, Ruth with Noami encouragment dare to approach Boaz later.
C ommunity
Boaz don't work alone. v15 Boaz instructed his young men, saying, “Let her glean even among the sheaves, and do not reproach her.
If we have 24hrs, there is a limit in the amount of work we can do. Jesus did the right things about discipleship. It is about grooming yourself and cloning yourself on others. Imagine Boaz servant did not think like Boaz and act in a different way Boaz had instructed, Ruth may be turned away.
The Application
Lord use the gifts, the wealth, the abilities, the time that you have bless my hands, for your kingdom.
Let me build relationship with people and allow me to get into their lifes and theirs into mine. God's business is in the heart and soul of man.
Let me build a community in alignment and for the extension of your kingdom. Bless my family. Amen

Ruth 1
When things fall apart
The book of Ruth began not with Ruth, but with Elimelech , the husband of Naomi. As the leader of the household, he had to make a decision when famine came to the land of Judah. He brought his family, his wife and 2 sons to the land of Moab. A bad decision - not really, but probably there is food there. The famine must be severe in Judah because the stay in Moab was 10 years. Elimelech has no intention to stay there so long, in verse 1, he went to sojourn in the country of Moab.
But probably, the long stay led to a settlement, when his sons married the locals - Moab. The Moab were the descendant of Lot and his daughters. They were definitely not part of the inheritance line.
Things did not always turn out well the way we plan. Elimelech died, his sons died. This leave Naomi and her 2 Moabite daughter-in-laws.
The God we put our Hope.
What do we based our hope on or on what object is our hope depends on? Our plan, the people we know, or the materials wealth, health... Hope brought about the future intent, for without hope, life is just like floating from day to day - aimless. People build their on on their capabilities, their know how, their strength, the people they know and crave out a career, an business empire... for themselves or for their on ambition.
To me nothing wrong with that, but when things fall apart, when the people they depend on for success and their plan is gone, their hope is gone. When business fell, they get dejected. They hope are dashed.
v6-13. In Naomi case, the husband who lead her and the family died. She is just a sojourner. Her sons died, and that without any grandchildren means that she has no economic ability to feed herself. She has no land, no inheritance. Her 2 daughters-in-laws being woman, being Moab (will be mock and consider outcast by the Jews) won't be able to help much. Even if they are to be married, Naomi has no part of that in the daughter-in-law new family. No hope. Naomi had no choice but to return to Judah.
v20 “Do not call me Naomi; [1] call me Mara, [2] for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me. 21 I went away full, and the Lord has brought me back empty. Why call me Naomi, when the Lord has testified against me and the Almighty has brought calamity upon me?”
Naomi is bitter with God. But the Lord has provided. In chapter 2, the provision of field gleaning is the way the Lord provide for widow and orphan, the redeeming process is another way the Lord provides. That provision as compare to the stay in Moab provide the hope for Naomi and Naomi has all the compelling reason to return, despite the knowing that the woman mocked her on her return in v20 And the women said, “Is this Naomi?”
The God we can Trust.
What do Naomi have to offer Ruth and Orpah? Nothing.
But the difference is in the God we can trust. When the things of our senses fail us, what we do, what we see... Then what we cannot see is the believe in this God, whom we can trust. Naomi knew this God and Ruth probably heard about this God.
15 And she said, “See, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and to her gods; return after your sister-in-law.” 16 But Ruth said, “Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God.
In this 2 verses, the contrast is in god and God. There must be something about this God that Naomi knew. Ruth was convinced. Yes, there is no hope, is she going back to the gods of Moab that she will want to put her trust on or on the God of Naomi?
What is so special about the God that Naomi knew that Ruth is so willing to place her bet?
v6 Then she arose with her daughters-in-law to return from the country of Moab, for she had heard in the fields of Moab that the Lord had visited his people and given them food.
The timing was right, the Lord visited Judah and given them food.
The Application
I will based my hope, the purpose that will drive by life on God. Yes things may happen nicely, just like when Elimelech first went to Moab in order to find food for the family, but things will god wrong.
How to put my trust in this God - it is about how much I know this God. Therefore, let me grow in knowledge of this God, in which putting my believe in Him instead of myself, seeing that things work out and happen because of God and grew my faith - God the object of my faith. I pray for faith to grow and know that this is the God I can trust. Amen.

9 Honor the Lord with your wealth
and with the firstfruits of all your produce;
10 then your barns will be filled with plenty,
and your vats will be bursting with wine.
11 My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline
or be weary of his reproof,
12 for the Lord reproves him whom he loves,
as a father the son in whom he delights.
What a wonderful promises! It may, however, to some see that our God is one that demands good things for good blessings. That is if you honour your Lord with your wealth, firstfruit, then..
But if we read v11 and v12, it is not that if you do not honour the Lord with your wealth and firsfruit, then come the Lord discipline.
The Lord will reproof, but not because of what your transaction is, but the Lord is interested in our overall being.
He is interested in our wealth, our firsfruit, what we do, who we are - v12 as a father to his son, in whom the father delights.
Many of us hate to give away our wealth, and many of us hate to be discipline. It is about we. But being God centered, our wealth, our being,is about God, the Lord.
Isn't not good to give unto the Lord, and submit unto Him.
I took them positively, give to the Lord because that is acknowledging Him. Moreover, it is the Lord who bless and what more, then 10 then your barns will be filled with plenty,

3:1 My son, do not forget my teaching,
but let your heart keep my commandments,
2 for length of days and years of life
and peace they will add to you.
Proverbs 3 start off with a reminder, as a father reminds a son. God the Father reminding us. What teaching? What commandments?
It seems that I do not have any impression that I have forgotten all of them?
As simply as - have I come near to God today?
3 Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you;
bind them around your neck;
write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 So you will find favor and good success [1]
in the sight of God and man.
The key verbs are forsake, bind, write, so that you will find favour.
As simply as, have I kept God in mind and near me?
The giver of the teachings, the commandments, the steadfast love, the faithfulness.. The back to basic - have I come near to God today and each day?

The fear of the Lord? v5
In Hebrew, the word is yara'
It has the meaning
Dread, terror - Deut 1:29; Jon 1:10
To stand in awe (in reference to a king) - 1Ki 3:28
To revere, to respect (in regards to parents) - Lev 19:3
The understanding of this fear, gives knowledge of God.
v6 Knowledge is associate with understanding
v6 Both knowledge and understanding is given by the wisdom of God
It is not the dread of God, but of course this dread prevent us from sinning. This fear has to be to stand in awe, to revere and to respect.
How can then this wisdom -> knowledge and understanding to obtain?
v1 receive my words
v2 make your ear attentive
v3 call out
v4 seek it like silver
v4 search for it
It all speaks about a desire, a deep desire to as if finding a treasure (v1, v4), finding silver (v4)
So that for the literal. THAT treasure is found in v1 if you receive my words
The words of God brings about the knowledge of the giver of the word - God. Therefore an understanding of the word, is about knowing who God is.
The fear of the Lord is develop through the word of God.
The fear of the Lord is also about reading the words with properly used and maintain a balance - To avoid extremes we must read all of God's Word. Know the word and use the word.
It therefore dwell in our desire to get into the words. Let the words stand out and wow and wow about God. Amen.

Amen.

Will you take it?
Not everyone and even so sometime I myself have reject it - pride, self, I, myself..
As a result, 26 I also will laugh at your calamity;
I will mock when terror strikes you,
27 when terror strikes you like a storm
and your calamity comes like a whirlwind,
when distress and anguish come upon you.
28 Then they will call upon me, but I will not answer;
they will seek me diligently but will not find me.
How is then to accept this wisdom?
29 Because they hated knowledge
and did not choose the fear of the Lord
It all voice down to the fear of the Lord. Coming close to Him.
Lord, I pray for your wisdom, like the way you have given to Solomon. Not by my own strength but yours. What I need to decide, guide me, what I need to do, help me, what I need my worries and anxiety, I give them all to you.
That I claim v33 whoever listens to me will dwell secure

and forsake not your mother's teaching,

As a father, I pray for Jo, Deb and Matty, that indeed they will always hold dear to the love of Christ in their hearts. I pray that you will guide me and rach to teach them the ways of the Lord.
Build a clear conscience in them that they may know the right and the wrong. I pray for the holy spirit to be with them always.
Well, that reminds me spend the time talking heart to heart with jo.

Proverbs 1
2 To know wisdom and instruction,
to understand words of insight,
3 to receive instruction in wise dealing,
in righteousness, justice, and equity;
4 to give prudence to the simple,
knowledge and discretion to the youth—
5 Let the wise hear and increase in learning,
and the one who understands obtain guidance,
6 to understand a proverb and a saying,
the words of the wise and their riddles.
Verse 2-4, if you want to...., then verse 5-6 let you be so...
If I want wisdom, instruction, understand and insight, wise dealing.. be able to give prudence, be able to give knowledge and discretion ...
Indeed these are the qualities of a wise man with depth of comprehension and at the same time wise in all that we do, wow.
I pray for that, for II, for my dealings with my children and family and my students.
Then, let me be wise to hear and increase in learning..
How to increase in learning
verse 7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
fools despise wisdom and instruction.
What is right and what is correct is grounded by the truths in God. How can we know that it is wrong to murder if God has not told us so. The line drawn between wise and fool, right and wrong lies in our knowledge becasue we fear God.
Erase, therefore my sins, let me grow in fear and in your knowledge. Let all that I do be right and be wise in you.

As I read a chapter from Ed Silvoso "Anointed for Business", Ed and his team was praying for the businessman. God used him to speak word to them.
In the same way, I asked that you gave me the sensitivity of the holy spirit to be able to hear from you. Let my heart be open and let your words anchored in me.
Indeed, as rach pray, we ought to pray more. For our self to be close with Jesus and for our family and for our marketplace- our ministry.
I pray for Jo, you who has given him a good mind and of sound wisdom. I pray for my relationship with him, that you will use me to impart the Godly values in him. Let that you have taught me, I will be able to related to him. I pray that you will keep him, precious for you.
I pray for my relationship with rach, keep us lovingly close and continue to be so. Let my emotions flow, to express my love and let us build this family based on gentleness and of your love.
Lord, I value my family, bless my hand and the role I play. Lead me as you guide me.
Bless the hands and the works of my hands in II as as in np.
I submit the 101010 plan to you. Continue to give me wisdom and talents to execute them.

Rev 20 11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. 13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. 14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. These verses remind me of the reality of heaven and hell. I wonder and feel sad for those who is dead and might be lost. But I cannot do anymore.
I am the one that was send. Rev has shown and this was made known to me through John and the bible.
I can't do anything that is in the past, but I have to move forward. There are still many unsaved souls - people. And people is God's buisness.
Lord, pour out your spirit upon me again. Let me be filled with your compassion for the lost and allow me to feel that heartbeat of yours. Open my eyes that I will see the reality of heaven and hell.
Lead me as you guide me to lead my family and in II, the fundamental need to be rooted in Christ and the elements needed to soar with you on wings for the lost. Amen

After this I heard what seemed to be the loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, crying out,
“Hallelujah!
Salvation and glory and power belong to our God,
2 for his judgments are true and just;
for he has judged the great prostitute
who corrupted the earth with her immorality,
and has avenged on her the blood of his servants.”
I met a friend this morning and he told me that he has ten and at most 20 more years to live life. He is in his late 50s.
Indeed, wealth will come and go. The day will come and judgement will be proclaimed. there is nothing wrong with wealth, but ask what is the purpose of accumulating wealth.
Imagine the scenario in Revelation. The angels of God fought against the armies of the beast. Which side do I take? The beast represent the pocessions, the wealth, the power, the status.. Gave up all and support the cause of God?
How can then I rejoice? Imagine, the world fall into great chaos, wars, earthquakes.. and I began to lose everything that I own in this world...
I say Hallelujah, can I?
It all voice down to the heart that is in me. The pocession that I have in my heart, the dear things of God that I own... can I.
I pray for that spirit in me that I will hold so dearly the things of God in my heart. That the world may collapse, but my God stay within. Amen.

It a city which is a symbol of every kind of evil. From Genesis, the original of creation of man and to the stage in Rev, man has degenerated. What is wrong is ok and there is always the freedom to justified why every evil is permissible. Look at same sex marriage being legalized.

Rev 17 The seven hills of early Rome – the Cermalus, Palatium, and Velia (the three peaks of the Palatine Hill), the Cispius, Fagutalis, and Oppius (the three peaks of the Esquiline Hill), and the Sucusa – figured prominently in Roman mythology, religion, and politics.Tradition holds that the seven hills were first occupied by small settlements and not grouped or recognized as a city called Rome. Rev 17 mentioned about these 7 hills. If true, Revelation 17:9 refers to Rome as the 'Whore of Babylon". It reads: "This calls for a mind with wisdom. The seven heads are seven hills on which the woman sits." The last empire that Daniel mentioned was The fourth kingdom of iron legs which then becomes the Roman Empire. We are living thus in the end times, with the fact of Europe consolidating again. Regardless, how many of us do recognize this? When Noah build the ark, who then will believe that the flood will come? Our living should be that of the eternal, gather then the treasures that is in heaven. Know that v14 They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful. The final triumph belongs to the Lord. I pray for myself, that my indulge is in and for the treasures in heaven. Let my mouth be of constant worship and praise, let my spirit be always be lifted up and in your presence. Unless your spirit goes before me I will not leave this place. Buried the past, the hurt and the anger. Press on towards the goal in Christ Jesus. If I have tens more years, make them then count for you, attaining the purposes you have for me.

Like the 10 plagues that hit Egypt, the seven angels poured out 7 bowls of God's wraths.
As I watch the story unfold, the consistent word "and they cursed [2] the name of God who had power over these plagues. They did not repent and give him glory"
In good times, they knew no God. When disaster happen, they cursed God. These are the poeple who believe in their own strength and knew and choose to know not God. N wonder, God has to destroy and these people must know or will then know that God is the creator of everything.
Armageddon, the movie still show human trumiph over nature and over God. Ask, then why if God choose to spare, then it is for us the time to repent.
Indeed, revelation showed the end. Our lives seems to be revolve around the stress at home, the stress at work, the anxieties and the worries of the world.
I, then choose to turned my eyes on the eternal God. On the persepective of the things that is eternal. Paslm 73 when the palmist entered the santuary, the pespective is that of the eternal, the things of God that last. Stress and achieve all we want without a care for God, then when diaster and bad news happen, we will stand to see eveything in our persecptive , curse God who has control over the plague and still not repent.
There are indeed many things that are beyond our control, the stress at work, the project dealine, the anxieties over our children ...
Turn our eyes on Jesus, all things will be made new, everything is a learning process for us to know our God in a deeper way.
I have slowly learn to enjoy my work and of course enjoy my family. I pray that each day I will learn to be root in God first, then knowing one day I will soar with Him.

A short 8 verses chapter.
The first word that reveal was the word great and mighty in v1. I ask whether it was refering to the signs, or the angels or God.
The signs that John seen can be great but not sure how can it be mighty. The angels can be great and mighty, The 7 seven that carry the last 7 plagues.
If so, then God must be very great and very mighty.
Amen to that, then what is my response?
v3 3 And they sing the song of Moses, the servant [1] of God, and the song of the Lamb. What then is this song about?
It is about the the great and mighty deeds of God.
Moses can sing this song because God delivered them out of Egypt. Not by the might of the Hebrew but by the rightoeus of God, the great and mighty deeds of God.
In Revelation, Michael and the angels fought aganist Satan and delivered the people of God, the lamb. But not by the valant of Michael, but again by the great and mighty God. Not a word is said in Exodus about Israel's valor and vigor in battle. Neither was it because Michael and his angels were better fighters. Not a word is said in Revelation chapter 12.
12:7-9) Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. (8) But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. (9) The great dragon was hurled down--that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.
SO, indeed, if my God is great and mighty, what and whom shall I be afraid.
Yes, problems, unsolved problems and more problems. revelation showed the end of everything.
My response is then this - I am grateful for having a God who is great and mighty and yet wnated everything re-new. Flow then not by the vigor or the valant or by my wisdom, but by the will of this God who loves me.
I uplift my problems to you. My unsolved problems in my industrial project, the HDB house, the wedding, II, not by works. When I pray God works.

Rev 14 12 Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus. Imagine the world is following the beast and need the mark of the beast to survive. It became a norm. In addition, the sexual immorality that is associated with Babylon was mentioned. In contrast, the 144,000 chosen in 14:1, Then I looked, and behold, on Mount Zion stood the Lamb, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads, and in 14:4 It is these who have not defiled themselves with women, for they are virgins.
The mark of the beast symbolize power, status and control over the wealth of the world. Therefore plus sexual immorality - watch out.
I pray over my walk with God. Am I called? yes, called to keep the commandments of God. I pray that what is pleasing to the eyes and a desire to gain knowledge and wisdom (for dominance) be yield to my Lord Jesus. I pray for myself that I will put my faith in God for my work and for my wealth.
Bless the work of my hand. Projects and students can sometimes hard to handle. Show me and give me the wisdom to handle.
Bless my decisions. I have decisions to made everyday. I place before your throne, the house at Clementi, what can I and how can I use wisely the inheritance. Bless the decisions and multiply what I receive.
Bless the preparation for the coming wedding re dedication. Bless the people who comes that they may be bless by the Lord.
Bless my family. For they are indeed your blessings, let this family multiply and let your blessing multiply. Amen

Amen

2 beasts one follow by another. It caused the whole world to follow. The difference between right and wrong was blurred. Everyone was has to be marked with the number of man, simple a means to survive.
Who can stand - really one one. Who will stand in righteousness - hardly. All will fall, unless v8 all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world.
Unless God intervene, else the world will be lost. The material things we gain will pass away. The world was subjected to such a temptations that gaining more materials wealth become a way of surviving in this world.
Nothing against prosperity, but why gain the world when you lose your soul.
In perspective, see the eternal. Rev show how the world will end.
Yet in my carnal nature, like the psalmist who wrote 73, I saw the rich and powerful, they are proud, in good health.. my heart envy. I have at times failed to see the blessings I have in the Lord. My eyes are blinded by the world. Who can stand in the presence of the beasts, whose wealth and riches and power and status, who can resist.
Lord, let my heart be content. I have you, you have given me everything I need and have command me that all that was given, multiply them and subdue them. Let me be rooted in this fact. You have already given me what I need. Now play and obey the rules - multiply them and not crave for the forbidden fruit and want more that is pleasing to the eyes and a desire to gain more.
Le me then soar, let then my heart be content in you for in you I have eternity. For out of you, I return to dust.

The sign that John saw in v1, represent the beginning of the nation of Israel, with the sun representing Jacob, the moon Rachel and the 12 stars, the 12 sons.
The second sign that John saw in v3 the red dragon, represent Satan, representing red with blood and fearful. He swept a third of the stars or fallen angles to earth, and wage war against the woman and the child, the children of Israel.
v4 The child will be born and will rule all the nations with a rod of iron, but her child was caught up to God and to his throne. Indeed Jesus will come again, taken up to God and return to rule the nations with a rod of iron.
Conflict.
The evidence and the truth about the existence of conflict between Satan and man, God and Satan. Whether we choose this war, the dragon is there waiting. His legion is ready and even before the child was born, open war has started. Begin passive and not involving in battle only means that Satan has 1 less christian soldier to fight. Lord, let me therefore not stay passive and let me be back in battle formation, and be ready for the fight.
There will be war. Not war on earth but war in heaven. This war end Satan control over the heaven and was hurl down to earth. 9 And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
Complete
v9 is complete, dragon, serpent, devil, Satan, deceiver was defeated and thrown out of heaven. The timeline is half time through the 7 sevens of tribulation 1260 days. Satan failed in his attempt to control heaven. Our salvation is then completed. He has now only the war on earth. Am I then leaving something that belongs to Satan that I still linkers on? Let the purging of sins and areas of sin in me be complete Lord.
Conquer
The conflict has not ended. But from v13, it began our victory against the dragon and Satan. The victory was achieved because of divine help and assitance. The war is not ours. It is God.
We can choose not to fight, but the war is still on us. Fight and knowing that God is with us, who can be against us.
My spiritual battle begins at home. I recognise and must recognise that the battle is ongoing. I will and must take on the fight. I must set myself in battle motion and Complete - complete in areas that the enemies has no way to fault against me and my family. Let me therefore take the first step again and then the second. Amen

The 2 witness of God.
They were sent by God. v3 And I will grant authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.
To the people, they were evil men. Because of their authority, the rain stop for 1260 days which is about 3 and a half years. The water turn blood, and there was plague that strike as often as they desire. What a woe.
The solution, men did not repent and come back to God but turn to the beast. v7 the beast that rises from the bottomless pit [1] will make war on them and conquer them and kill them. Everyone rejoice and the body of the witness was left in the open, a total insult.
What a irony!
The 2 witness was made alive again and the people saw how they were lifted to heaven. It was only then, that the people knew that these 2 witness were from heaven, while the beast was from the bottomless pit.
What a contrast!
But the good news, was that some were saved.
For all the doing, least, least that some will be saved, whatever it may take, even after so many deaths and woes.
What then it will take a harden heart to come back to God. It took the Pharaoh of Egypt 10 plagues, it took the people in revelation so many woes so many plagues.
I pray for my heart not to be harden, and my eyes not be blinded by the matter, the material weath of te world.

1 Mar 2011; Ps 139
Psalm 139
The start of this psalm made me feel that my God is with me. Of whom shall I fear. He knows me, my in and my out. He is with me, my going in and my going out. Where can I go that He is not there.
Such comfort.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea.. God is with me.
For you created my inmost being.. my frame, and your eye saw my unformed body when I was made in the secret place.
Such a God who know me before and after.
How precious to me are your thoughts, o God...
BUT the tone in the psalm came to a change in v19
19 Oh that you would slay the wicked, O God!
O men of blood, depart from me!
20 They speak against you with malicious intent;
your enemies take your name in vain! [2]
21 Do I not hate those who hate you, O Lord?
And do I not loathe those who rise up against you?
22 I hate them with complete hatred;
I count them my enemies
The sudden change - a contrast from floating in the midst in and with God, made a twist with such evil thoughts. It is as if I have level myself with God because God is with me and saw the wicked of men, God enemies are my enemies...
But who am I, really who am I to consider these men as wicked, not worthy, God haters..
I am just like them, but because God is with me. Search my heart that I may not consider myself better, higher .. than anyone else.
Like the way the psalmist realised in the last 2 verse of Ps 139, 23 Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts! [3]
24 And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!
I thank you that my God is such a comfort, that my God is forever with me and knows me in depth. Search my thoughts that these thoughts may be always right with you.
Men who are evil may not know you, but I do because you have first know me. Let me then continue to grow deep in and with you. amen

This chapter is just between the blowing of the sixth and the seventh trumpets.
Like chpater 7, which is between the opening of the sixth and the seventh seal, chpater 10 is like a interlude, a transmission pause to a show.
What is the show about? It is about the blowing of the 6 trumpets. The 6 trumpets brought about distruction, a third of the world was destroyed, a third of mankind was killed and yet they did not repent.
Chapter 10 revealed a angel, an angel that appeared before John. He has a foot on land and a foot on sea. His description is similar to the glory of God.
10:1Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, wrapped in a cloud, with a rainbow over his head, and his face was like the sun, and his legs like pillars of fire. 2 He had a little scroll open in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea, and his left foot on the land, 3 and called out with a loud voice, like a lion roaring.
Can this be Jesus? why not. wrapped in cloud - glorious appearance. Fire and lion.
Why then this angel appear to John in this interlude and ask John to eat the scroll in His hand?
God has poured out His wrath from the 6 trumpets, He wanted to give mankind a pause, a chance to come back.
He has revealation and words to proclaim - v6 that there would be no more delay
John eat the scroll, which represent the words, sweet and bitter. He obeyed and literally like Ezekiel take in the word.
God stop the wrath in this interlude, the great angel appear (Jesus appear). What are you to do?
The angle physiscally appeared to be in power and in dominion on land and in sea.
The interlude showed God mercy, but how are we accepting it?
The word was given and how are we taking it. It was delivered by the angel, and yet why me to eat that scroll that will turn bitter in my stomach!
No more delay- the 6th trumpets was blown, the 7th coming. The word was given, and God said in verse 6 - let there be no delay.
Even in the midst of wrath, will the words that is sweeter thatn honey be accepted? We who knew Christ, see his glory, will we not accept His word which offers the salvation to the wrath that the world has seen.
I who has the word, should not be keeping it for myself. The interlude gave the chance for the word to be given. I pray that as God show and as God give the divine appointment, let the word be deleivered without delay.

Wrath after after and yet at the end of chapter 9 v20 The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands nor give up worshiping demons and idols of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk, 21 nor did they repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.
Even though I knew that these material things do not last, the work that we are doing will not endure forever, yet I go on and go on.. The pursuit has to be growing treasures in heaven.

Lord, forgive me, do not harden my heart. I pray that I will come back and have a personal revival. Remember, "In all I do, do I grow deep in you"

As if there is not enough wrath from the seven seals. The seventh seals open to another seven trumpets of wrath.
Woe, woe woe. First is a thrid of the vegetation destroy - deforesation
Second, a third of the marine life destroyed - over fishing
Third, a third of the fresh water destroyed - acid rain
Fourth, a third of the heavenly destroyed - global warming
Who can stand and survive? Like the way the movies 2010, Deep Impact, Armegadon.. Can you image that we really live in that era?
The world and the worldy things will be washed away, then the weath or the power or the status that you have can save you. To each is on his own and the world will be chaos, without law and order, or of any government.
How to survive? In fact survival is not then, but before. Many of the saints are already in heaven.
3 And another angel came and stood at the altar with a golden censer, and he was given much incense to offer with the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar before the throne, 4 and the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, rose before God from the hand of the angel.
Like the way my wife has pray - chase after the eternal, that of which will last. The living God, the word of God.
Yes Lord, I am busy on and off, I enjoy them, but I pray that my focus is on you. I am the first generation, let the next generation be for you. Amen.

This was after the 6th seal was broken. A great release of God wrath on the people.
A great multitude gathered.
v 14 These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
I remembered Don Moen's song- I stand in the midst of the multitude, of every tribe and tongue..
The 7th seal's wrath was not yet released, so these are the people that is save and need not to go through the tribulation. What is tribulation? I don't know - a great war, a great suffering, but nevertheless, wealth nor health cannot save you.
The reality show that this world will come and will come to pass - wipe out.
But the Lord Jesus Christ,
17 For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd,
and he will guide them to springs of living water,
and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
Again go for the things of eternity

This chapter is about opening of the 7 seals. 6 are mentioned in chapter 6.
The first 4 is about conquer, unpeacefulness, unfairness, death.
The 5th is a contrast - 10 They cried out with a loud voice, “O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” 11 Then they were each given a white robe and told to rest a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants [3] and their brothers [4] should be complete, who were to be killed as they themselves had been.
The 6th - to me- is an irony.
When David was given a choice to choose between judgement from men or from God, he choose the later.
The first 4 seal saw great wrath and great distress on earth. When the 5th seal was to open, the people (whom they knew God) cried and God instead like the former seal (sending each a wrath), stop and gave His mercy to these people.
The irony came in the 6th seal. there is earthquake. The people instead of calling to God like those in the 5th seal called to the mountains and hills for help.
15 Then the kings of the earth and the great ones and the generals and the rich and the powerful, and everyone, slave [5] and free, hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains, 16 calling to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb, 17 for the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?”
I choose to be like the people in the 5th seal. They called out to God and surprisingly this is the only seal with no wrath!
I have work to do, which I don't know. I have a family to provide, to lead, which I need guidance. BUT I have a God, whom I can called out to - pray, pray pray.
Running to the mountains and the hills to hide away from the wrath is not a solution in the long term, for in verse 17, still the great day of their wrath has come, who can stand.
Run to God, pray pray pray.

Worthy is the Lion of Judah, the lamb of God that was slain.
Why the Lion of Judah? Because he has conquered. Conquered what?
Jesus is the Lion, strong from Judah, the root of David. He overcame in trial of life, in the temptations in the wilderness, in the agonies of the garden, the fears of death, and the bonds of the grave.
The 5th chapter is the great Redemption chapter In this chapter is included the great mysteries of God, from the creation and the fall of man until the final restitution of all things. Redemption! Redemption! What a great word! It means to buy again something that has been sold, by paying back the price to him that bought it. To deliver and bring out of bondage those who are kept prisoners, by their enemies.
Is my life sold for Christ. Has it been redeem for Christ?
Or is it still running round and round picking up the worths of the world for power, for status and for wealth?
The book in this chapter is sealed with seven seals and it can only be open if the seven seals are broken. Each seal comes a judgement.
But the end, the book or the scroll is about redemption. My life is a redeem life. How can I use it usefully and purposefully for you.
I will start with a lot and a lot of prayer, seeking and waiting...

10 Jan 2011; Mat 4
The temptation of Christ
God loves you just the way you are. I just have to me me.
POWER
I don't have to do in order to please Him and make Him love me more.
3 And the tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.” 4 But he answered, “It is written,
“‘Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
The world goes for POWER, the ability to do great things, like able to turn things around, doing the impossible like turing stone into bread.
I am not of the world, I don't have to do great things showing my great ability and great power in order for God to love me.
STATUS
I do not need the approval of men and how they see me in order that God loves me.
6 and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written,
“‘He will command his angels concerning you,’
and
“‘On their hands they will bear you up,
lest you strike your foot against a stone.’”
I don't have to wow the audience that I can do miracles like a free fall and just before hitting the ground, I survived. Men will wow at that but I do that need that status, the approval of men.
The world goes for " I am the commander of the army, the President of ..", but
I am who I am, not gauge by the appointment, the status and the number of follower in order for God to love me.
MATERIAL WEALTH
I do not have to pocess great material wealth in order for God to accept me and love me.
The world look at and wow at how much I have, big car, big condo, big cash...
8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.” 10 Then Jesus said to him, “Be gone, Satan! For it is written,
“‘You shall worship the Lord your God
and him only shall you serve.’”
I have a God who loves me.
I do not have to depend on myself to do great things, for that pleases myself.
I do not have to hold great appointment, because that pleases me for the world to see.
I do not have to show off what material things I have, because that pleases me again.
God, all that I do let them pleases you, let all that I am is an office of destiny that you purpose in me. Let all that I have be from you and for you.
A colleague shared that all his 3 brothers died around 51 to 61. He is now 54-55. He knew the probability of how much time he has.
Live for God. I have the next 10 years, 20 years, let me purpose and live and leave a leagacy for God to my family.
God loves you just the way you are. I just have to me me.
