v3 and 4
When I was a son with my father,
It is again a picture of the time I have with my child. The time I am with them, that I show them and teach them.
Indeed, nothings beats this intangible investment in them. That it is leaving them a legacy and builds on Godly value for the next generation.
It warms my heart to be with my children, be able to spend time with them. Prov 4:4, thus remind me the value of spending time with them. My words means a lot to them. What does God says to me, I teach them.
Gen 41-42
41:37
Joseph Rises to Power This proposal pleased Pharaoh and all his servants. And Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find a man like this, in whom is the Spirit of God?” (Genesis 41:37-38 ESV)
What is man in whom is the Spirit of God? Stephen in the NT was one of them - full of the spirit.
I too like the description given in Acts 10
Peter and Cornelius At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion of what was known as the Italian Cohort, a devout man who feared God with all his household, gave alms generously to the people, and prayed continually to God. About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God come in and say to him, “Cornelius.” And he stared at him in terror and said, “What is it, Lord?” And he said to him, “Your prayers and your alms have ascended as a memorial before God. (Acts 10:1-4 ESV)
A gentile, yet know God. Fear God with all his household, give pray.
I am so so short of this.
