5 Jan 2016; Acts 7:54-60

5 Jan 2016; Acts 7:54-60

This reading was done with Deb, and the story was on the stoning of Stephen. It is a continuation devotion with Deb on the life journey of Paul.

Stephen a man full of the Holy Spirit. He can see heaven open and see that Jesus at the right hand of God. In the face of death, like Jesus, he cried out for god to take his spirit and he fell asleep.

What is a man full of the Holy Spirit like? He man with super natural power from God? No...
I believed he was a focused man in the matters of God. He knew the words and he pray in accordance to the will of God. He did  not went for trial and was killed just like that.

His life was about serving the Church, he was appointed to as an overseer. From the way he spoke to the chief priest, he did not stumbled but knew who Jesus was and how it linked back to Mosses and Abraham.

Again, what captured your heart? It should be the matter of God, the focus, any pursuit that spends time and talents. Yes even as I pursue my project and my business, let the people I met, let the things I do, be a witness and a testimony to God. How I handle these tasks, let them be of wisdom from God. Let not the time and talents draws me away from the pursuit of God and what distract me from Him.

I ran my 12th km for the week. Did a total of 120 + 60 + 120 back press and 40 sit ups. The target, get physically strong so that this temple is still going good for God!.
