1 Chr 18:3 David also defeated Hadadezer king of Zobah-Hamath, as he went to set up his monument [4] at the river Euphrates. 4 And David took from him 1,000 chariots, 7,000 horsemen, and 20,000 foot soldiers. And David hamstrung all the chariot horses, but left enough for 100 chariots. 5 And when the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David struck down 22,000 men of the Syrians. 6 Then David put garrisons [5] in Syria of Damascus, and the Syrians became servants to David and brought tribute. And the Lord gave victory to David [6] wherever he went.

In the face of the enemies - David hamstrung all the chariot horses except for 100! Why did he choose to put them in reserve and sent out only 100 chariots instead of crippling the 900 chariots? So that the victory belongs to God. The battle was won not because of David who has more chariots but David put his trust in God!

When he looked back after the battle, he will boost not of himself, but be able to give glory to God who provided him the victory.

In the same way, I want to look back and know that the places I have been and the things I have accomplish is not because of me - but because of God.

I pray that the process, even though it may be a humble one, the trust will be in God. Fatih is a process and let my faith like David be built not on my ability nor on my resources.

"The Lord has pull me through" and glory goes to God.
