5 Jul 2016; Eph 5: 6-10
Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not become partners with them; for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord.
(Ephesians 5:6-10 ESV)
The one who deceive are the ones who do not know the truth about Christ, about God and the plans He has for us. They will continue to walk in darkness caliming what they know or do is correct - the way.
My object of faith is God in Christ that die for me that I am have life. Not by works to accumulate goodness. As such we walk in light in the Lord, made children of light. Not that we do - trying to discern what is pleasing to the Lord.
As such we who have Christ and know God, walk in light - good, right and true. We do not partners with those whose disobedience force them into darkness.

4 July; Eph 5: 1-5
Walk in Love Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints. Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. (Ephesians 5:1-5 ESV)
Walk - be alive. We are made in the images of God, as His beloved children. Therefore like Christ - walk in love - for the purpose as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
On the contrary, we are alive, for ourselves. We enjoy this life (no wrong) but to an extend made pleasure out of sex (which God made for the purpose of marriage, be fruitful and multiple and populate the earth, so that it we inherit the earth.
But sadly, sexual immorality, impurity and covetous became rampant and became part of life.
I pray that this sin be away from me - let no filthiness in sexual impurity cause me to be separate from the purpose of God. That I will be a fragrance to Christ - as is proper among saints.

29 June 2016; Eph 4:25-32
I have been reading these verses over the last 3 days, trying to memorize them.
Basically - 4 things that Paul mentioned to avoid - put away falsehood, do not let angry go down with the sun, do not steal and lastly let no corrupt talk come out of your mouth. Also 6 things to prevent - bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, slander and malice.
All so that we talk in truth, let the devil has no grip over us, do honest work so that we can give or share, that what come out of our mouth be good for building each other up. Be kind and tenderhearted, forgiving one another.
It is about how we walk when no one is watching, how we react against our neighbor, how we perform in public and how we speak to our neighbor. Basically our response and walk when no one is watching and towards our neighbor.
For me I must watch how I walk and behave and response when in private. Let the devil has no grip over me that I may walk in righteousness and not be a person who walk in falsehood.
Press on into God and do not grieve the Holy Spirit. Be right, walk right, talk right and do right.

25 June 2016; Eph 4:20-24
But that is not the way you learned Christ!—assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus, to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
(Ephesians 4:20-24 ESV)
I am coming to the end of my Sheffield tour. It is a good trip that renew my routine. Yes I am tired but physically.
I need to put off my old self - that corrupt and deceitful desires by the renewal of my spirit and mind.
I need to put off my old sinful self through the renewal of my mind. I need to get rid of the corrupt desires, get rid of my former self.
Spending time with God is the way. I will mediate on the words on God in Eph, then Acts and Isaiah.
I will start the day off with a discipline of 5am, 515am run, followed by a time of worship and reading the word with journal.
It will be a force discipline way to get myself out of that deceitful nature and crawl back to life.

Paul used words like darkened, hardness of heart and callous.
What have you become and became.
The became is about death. Just good to be cut off and thrown away, left to rot.
The grip seem to be too strong that I cannot recover on my own. Continue in that path and you are doom.
Oh how, I pray for help, a release from that bond that stronghold. Lord help, that the giver of life, I may have regeneration. That the callous, the harden heart and the darken soul be remove. Let life flow again.
Let when the desires cone be satisfied that do not go into cravings. Let me be strong and run away, that I may have no energy left.
Oh Lord, help and I cried out to you. Amen

22 June 2016; Eph 4: 17-19
The New Life Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds. They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart. They have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity. (Ephesians 4:17-19 ESV)
Well let the meaningless of continuing to sin stop me from sinning, but by grace of God help me to purge. You must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds - meaningless and achieving nothing. The worst is the alienated from life of God.
I pray for a righteous walk - a walk that is worthy and differentiate from and as a Gentile.
I stop here because if I do not get right with the walk with God, I remain alienated.

Instead, rather.. Well to me no matter what..
Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love. (Ephesians 4:15-16 ESV)
A simple apologies makes peace and bond each other in love. Moving on from taking care or pay attention to yourself - the food you take, the exercise routine,, the sleeping routine, spending time in words, prayers and worship - the physical and the spiritual.
I have not established a discipline and routine fully. But it is a good start in Sheffield. I start the day at 6am and I need 2 hours excluding breakfast to run, worship and word. I miss out prayers which I will have to find a place and time in NP during lunch to do so. As for breakfast, a cup of milk with oat will do, but it may not last me till lunch. The habit of snacking will come in and the discipline will be gone. For 8 am class or for time that I have to leave at 715 or 730am, breakfast will be after the first lesson - maybe packed bread with coffee.
Lunch time, I will sure have. A common classroom at Blk 5 for just half and hour.
Well speaking the truth in love we grow up in every way into him, so that when every part is working properly, makes the body grow. This is the beginning of take care of the flock under. It starts with truth, you walk with God, then in communication, your speech, so that love tells the story of your walk and when you talk people listen.
How do I know the truth - Christ - the actions of pay attention to yourself. Now walk so that others may see that truth.

Unity in the Body of Christ I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, (Ephesians 4:1 ESV)
What is a worthy call or a call that is worthy?
It is none when the Lord called you. A king call you, what is the response? Surely I will heed or ohh I must have done something not right and dare not take the heed.
I somewhat belong to the later. I felt at times that I am filled with sins, not worthy and dare not..
What Christ through grace make us worthy., in context, Eph 4 , Paul therefore urge us or implore us. Therefore we are ready, we are worth, so that Paul implored us to walk in the manner that is worthy of the call.
I am made worthy because of Christ through grace and mercy and not what I did that the king may call me worthy.
Therefore, break the paradigm, I am worthy because Christ made me so. This I pray that I may go forward to the calling -
And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, (Ephesians 4:11-12 ESV)
What then am I called to? I will put across Acts 20:28 Pay attention, take heed to your self. I have been in the neglect of my spiritual self.
Obvious, the flock that is under me is my family, and the students that I interact with in school. Naturally I am made a minister, an evangelist in my workplace. The ministry will come and I will serve the Lord in capacity that I can offered, such as Sunday school and cell.
Of yes, a prayer that the Lord will lead my family to a cell that all of us will be able to growth and more importantly be part of a body of Christ.

19 June 2016; Eph 4
God called us. Wow. At times I do feel that I am not worthy of the call. I continue to sin and fall into sin and it seem never able to get perfect.
But it is God who call us and consider us worthy of the calling. It is by grace and mercy that we are turned around.
Unity in the Body of Christ I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, (Ephesians 4:1 ESV)
The context for therefore is from Eph 3, the gospel has been made known, God has called us, gave us the wealth be filled with all the fullness of God.
Paul therefore implore us to walk in a manner worthy of the calling. Just as I implore Jo and Deb to work hard, Paul implore me to walk right with Him.
How we should walk - with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
(Ephesians 4:2-3 ESV)
How we walk showed the worthiness of Christ in us. We are the gospel. Therefore walk in that worthiness. SO that when we walk the talk, others will see and listen to the talk. When we talk, people listen. Therefore before GO (talk) is our walk.
Pray pray and pray, seek and seek and seek. If it cannot be purge, then you need someone help. This I pray.

17 June; Eph 4:12-13
to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, (Ephesians 4:12-13 ESV)
I started with Rach devotion about asking the Lord, to lean on Him and that He will gives you the desires of your heart.
I pray and asked that the Lord who has and will provide the bread and bacon for the family. As for me, I pursue the intend - building up the body of Christ.
The place of work provides the platform for me to seek the opportunities, the divine appointtments to meet people. The people I meet, are the one that I should be equip for to bring them the knowledge of the Son of God. Its about people.
The time to build an "empire" is building up the body of Christ, the purpose ALL attain to the unity of the faith, to mature and fullness of Christ.
It is a simple purpose.
Therefore, instead of spending time to earn more money (for what purposes except to enrich yourself - but ask and know that the Lord will provides). Instead of building a business and make myself a boss (for what purpose except to be a good boss and influence others), I can be one now. Lord, then let me be a boss that I can influence, not in a business of in a company (though it is my desire).
Well these are the desires of my heart - I see company with innovation and places for employees interaction with pantry filled with soft drinks and chips. But for what purpose? This I ask and put forth a desire.
As for today, in the current settings of influence, I pray for divine appointment to share Christ with some.

15 June 2016; Eph 4
I started the day with a morning run. Spend the time clearing emails, watsapp.. What a distraction of an unending work.
As we start late today, I had more time. I spend the time having a wonderful time in praise. Sorry God for the wretched man I am. I have to run, run back to you.
The unending work that the world has for me, but a transient life - what then makes the time spend here fruitful on earth? Pslam 90 - to establish the works of my hands. What works is then that is done on earth that can be established eternally - the things that is on God's heart.
It therefore starts on myself - coming back to God, coming back to the heart of worship.
Acts 20:28 - Pay careful attention to yourself
Which area? - Know his purposes. How? Come back to God again and again.
Eph 4 continues to dwell on unity. Again, that unity starts from within - the struggles I have with my God. Be united in the purpose.
I pray and ask first that God forgive, mercy and grace. That I know my God again, that I come back to Him again.

14 June 2016; Eph 4:4
There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call—one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
(Ephesians 4:4-6 ESV)
How can my family move as one? The aim, the end purpose is God. The objective is clear. The purpose for the body to move as one - for God. So the question remains - to do what?
Of course the answer lies with me - to seek the wisdom and the purposes of God for the family.
In yesterday devotion, that seeking start off with repentance - to come back to God again and again- for the things that you are not right with God.
So that is my part. Where does the family start? Ensure that we are grounded in the word of God and engaged in prayers.
Of course it start with me - an influence for my children to imitate.
So as for me, start with the word, and in prayers, To seek God purpose for the family and to learn to rely on His wisdom.

14 June 2016; Psalm 90
14 June 2016
Psalm 90
From everlasting to everlasting you are God.
For us who are man, our life here is limited.
Live a life for the purpose of God's calling.
The cell group watch the movie War room. I did not and did not managed to find a time to watch.
But on the plane to Sheffield, I am surprise to find this Christian theme movie on Turkish Airlines.
It is a about prayers. The battle we had is not against the people, the matters that disappoint us or failed us. I did not even fight the battle in prayers and leave the result to God.
I need to lead the family, to take back the authority and proclaim that Christ is the Lord of my household.
The things on earth will pass away, seventy and eighty years. So what do I want for the family? A family in Christ and for Christ, that the knowledge for God continues.
It starts with me, it starts with prayers.
If life is transient, when did the Psalm 90 says that God
Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands! (Psalm 90:17 ESV)
What then is our work that should be established?
Our life and labor in God has eternal consequences.
Our labor is not in vain.
Let us be found faithful. Not in the sight of man because that do not last. It must then be in the sight of God. We do not serve for the applause of man but for the approval of God. We must be found faithful in the books of God, in the economy of God and in the sight of God. For example, in the sight of God, we have finish well that we have finished all the things God has assigned us to do.
The key to finishing well is repentance. There is not one who will not fall. Then do we know how to stand in the grace of God, but be able to get up and stand in the grace of God. to rise up again and again and again. Repentance is about turning around with the intention to do so.
To engage the will of God in our lives. Beside knowing the will of God, but to do. To not only to pursue but to prefer. Rom 12. To do good and acceptable things that is according to the will of God.
Seek God and his agenda that God has for this family.
We must have the wisdom beyond our own. Psalm 90: 12
So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom. (Psalm 90:12 ESV)
How to invest this short life in the wisdom of God. Wisdom is about knowing the word of God through the scriptures.
We must have the strength beyond our own. The strength comes from our prayers. When we work, we work. When we pray, God pray.
Psalm 90

Seek God and his agenda that God has for this family.
We must have the wisdom beyond our own. Psalm 90: 12
So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom. (Psalm 90:12 ESV)
How to invest this short life in the wisdom of God. Wisdom is about knowing the word of God through the scriptures.
We must have the strength beyond our own. The strength comes from our prayers. When we work, we work. When we pray, God pray.

What a wretched man. The last time I blog was a month ago. I started well. Even in my work I started well. My contracts and projects are doing well.
Paul an apostle by the will of God.
In everything that I have or am, it is because of my work, or by my appointment? Am I in the will of God? Or am I trying to crave a piece of work out to prove that I have the skills, means and abilities, to proof something?
Blessed be the Lord and God who has blessed us in every spiritual blessings.
In all I have, it is God who bless. This family, it is the Lord who bless, my work, my children. What else am I not satisfy? Indeed, the intention is for the values of Christ, Godly values to be pass down to the next generation, it is for my unsaved relatives to know God. Even as I interact with my students, let the love of God and the purposes of God be made known in their lives. Use me a vessel., that with the spiritual blessings, use me.
I am reminded that I am the first generation Christian. Just like the way I ask Aunt Yong did she share the gospel and pray with my mom to receive Christ, I am now the vessel, that someday I am accountable for that question. Wow, according to the purpose of His will, that I know Christ first.
In him, we have the redemption - the hope and that made purposes in life meaningful. This He lavished on us. What is my response?
The power that was poured on us so that we are blessed for and to do all that He purposes. What power in me and what task that I cannot do? In all wisdom and insight...
So that the grace be made know through me to others - as plan so that all things be united in Him.
What am I doing then? That I failed to see that grace and power lavished with all spiritual blessings and yet squandered away time (effort, priority), talents (skills and knowledge) and treasures (material gains, wealth) to run after the tangible things and with a blinded eyes trying to do catch up what the world has achieved!
Pray, Praise, Peruse, Preach - Do the 4Ps in His kingdom.

From verse 2 to verse 9, the Lord spoke to Moses, I am the Lord, I.... and finally in verse 9 I am the Lord.
But in verse 10, You go and tell Pharaoh... The Lord Himself can do it, He hear, He see, He know and He will do, but you go can tell ...
Why? Because if the Lord do it Himself, we see, we see how powerful He is. When we do, God uses us as His instrument, we "become" part of His plan and purpose. He reveal His plan, now we know and as we did and execute the purpose, we remembered we grow.
The growth in Him brings us closer and that is the same redemptive purposes for Christ,
Lord use me so that I can grow.

Genesis ends with Joseph in a coffin, but a promise that God told Abraham, Issac and Jacob. A land that the Lord promise that was not claimed. Joseph told the sons of Israel that God:
v24 And Joseph said to his brothers, “I am about to die, but nGod will visit you and bring you up out of this land to the land othat he swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.”
How long, so long that a new king arose and forget the good things Joseph did. But the land was occupied and the plan is to claim it by force and it need number. God bless the Israelite - fruitful and multiply. They were made strong and indeed stronger than the Egyptian who begin to fear them.
With our strength, we will claim the land. Abraham only bought a cave as a burial ground and even the private army of Abraham who defeated the five kings is only 318. It was not possible. Our human eyes are too short sighted. We hurried and fall short of His purposes.
We failed to see the long term plan of God. We failed to see His eternity.
Pastor Edmund told the story that if his child died, he will give thanks, simply the child is in the hand of God and know where. Not the temporal but eternal with God.

v3 and 4
It is again a picture of the time I have with my child. The time I am with them, that I show them and teach them.
Indeed, nothings beats this intangible investment in them. That it is leaving them a legacy and builds on Godly value for the next generation.
It warms my heart to be with my children, be able to spend time with them. Prov 4:4, thus remind me the value of spending time with them. My words means a lot to them. What does God says to me, I teach them.

41:37
Joseph Rises to Power This proposal pleased Pharaoh and all his servants. And Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find a man like this, in whom is the Spirit of God?” (Genesis 41:37-38 ESV)
What is man in whom is the Spirit of God? Stephen in the NT was one of them - full of the spirit.
I too like the description given in Acts 10
Peter and Cornelius At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion of what was known as the Italian Cohort, a devout man who feared God with all his household, gave alms generously to the people, and prayed continually to God. About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God come in and say to him, “Cornelius.” And he stared at him in terror and said, “What is it, Lord?” And he said to him, “Your prayers and your alms have ascended as a memorial before God. (Acts 10:1-4 ESV)

This gives a picture of I alone with Mat. He is not that disobedient. Maybe he is the youngest and has been shouted the most. With me alone, he does what I told him. He still is a young boy and need a lot of guidance. In fact he is smart and and understand reason.
Teach him and he will learn. He is not a simple. And I pray for him to social well with people. How to speak gently -

God picked the right guy. If Joseph lamented along the way to Egypt and continue to complaint at Potipiah's house and the prison, will God be with him. Maybe God is with him and he succeed in everything, that is why Joseph is for God.
Joseph answered - why should I do this that I may sinned against my God. Not Potipiah, not man, but God!
God has obvious intended for good to come out of Egypt. He had choose Joseph. Joseph has god in his heart all alone. He lost his family and except God he remembered that appear in his dream that the sun and moon bow down.

18 Jan 2016; A Burden to grow
18 Jan 2016
An weekend spent with he kids cycling on Saturday and sailing on Sunday. It is a life with the family that I enjoyed. But over the weekend, Jo did his amount of work, but needs a lot of organization skills. He has been a boy of much concern. His results has fall from average to below , too distracted by the phone for social and for games. Is there nothing we can do? We have nag, we have reminds, we have warned..
Well this speak for a burden to grow, not in Jo, but myself. The week before was on grace. Something that we do not deserve but was given. We received the grace and therefore extends the grace to others. Grace from Christ - thanks but the respond is change. A change to grow. A need to grow.
As a father, I can help Jo, but I can also pray. But more importantly is Jo walk with God. He don't really read the word, pray, journal. I hope that the playing of guitar is his worship and not entertainment.
How to catch him, I need to spend a lot of time with him, with my children,. It is then to guide them or to show them or to do it for them?
Well Lord, this is the burden I have this morning for my children.

Reading and time alone with God from Gen35-36
God was with Jacob. It was God who directed Jacob path- his when to go and his when to stay.
God appeared to Jacob.
God rename Jacob
God spoke to Jacob
It was a reset for Jacob. From Jacob, came nations, and kings.
What is God intent for me and my family? What is the focus that I must and do that the family runs for God? It must in be inline such that God purposes and direct my family.
It therefore starts with me. What tone am I setting - my own relationship with God.

When Esau married a Hittite woman, they made life bitter for Issac and Rebekah. (26:35). Rebekah further commented in 27:46 "I loathe my life because of the Hittite women..."
The family starts with Rach and I as the first generation Christian, then let this legacy continues with my children to continue to loves God, loves people and be fruitful and continue to raise up generations of God fearing children.
As such, there is a need to pray for my children. this was what I wrote on the sky lantern , that God will bless Jo with a family, a wife that will blessings to Jo, to us and to the people. In His perfect will, that she will be found suitable helper for Jo in the fulfillment of the purposes God has for Jo and the generations to follow.
Proverbs: 3:9-10
Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the first fruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty and your vats will be bursting with wine.
Focus. What is my focus? My family and for this year the projects (Edurino), ICV and forex. I have not ready started with forex yet and Edurino.
I have been exercising, do time alone with God, but I need to be praying - praying for the family that His purposes be made clear for for this family to be a blessings to others.

I remember my tithe, well, I draw out my money, then let it be put into the tithe bag.

I spoke to a student and he poured out his childhood life to me. He told me the misfortune that befalls him and how he was mistreated by his father. He also relate how his classmate ganged up to bully him.
A point I took is that he do not wish to do well because even if he was to do well, he did not gain the praise of his father. But as a result, in a normal academic stream, led worse.
He did not want to go home as he wants to prolong the beating he receive at home.
He may seem ok, but with the baggage he carried, no wonder he contemplate suicide.
In the darkness, the hope is Christ. In Genesis, Abraham did not see the fulfillment, but the hope lies in a God that is eternal.
He gave all to Issac and to all his other children he give gifts and sent them away. Not sure if Abraham was a good father and how the other children feel. I guess children wanted love. A home without love, the children do not wish to be there.
It point me to stop nagging my Jo but to tell him and praise him for the little achievement he made. Not the case of high expectation, that praises can only be given.
Abraham gave gifts to his other children. That give them a start and therefore cannot claim any more inheritence. It is like the story of the prodigal elder son, that all that the father has belongs to him.
I remembered in UK, the Duke handed over the heir the inheritance. The other sons knew that they has no part in it.
It is therefore not the material pass down, but the love the father gives to the children when he is alive that is more important.

Yesterday sermon was on grace. Let me not make grace cheap, that Christ should die in vain and let me not make grace guilt, that I know that I have been forgiven and therefore move on. Let the grace that save me change me. Let the response for the grace given free by my saviour Jesus be a change in me and let praises come from me.

8 Jan 2016; Proverbs - The fear of the Lord
8 Jan 2016; Proverbs - The fear of the Lord
What is the fear of the Lord? It is more than reverence, respect and the afraid of doing the wrong things..
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, wisdom and instruction.
What then should we fear God? It is the simple sins that God hate. It is that that he wants us to stay away.
One of the sins is envy.
By envy it makes me want what my peer has been appointed, the status that they are in, the material things they have, their achievement...
I know I can also be, pride takes in.
The antidote is then not contentment but humility. It is the learning that the ability that God has made someone better for a better purpose. Promotion comes from the Lord. It is then finding your contentment in Christ. Coming to Him for the lack, the shortfall and even for the negative feelings, instead o falling into the sins of envy,
When you fear God, you fear nothing else.
Some references about the fear of the God from the book of Proverbs
1:29
3:7
8:13
14:2
15:33
16:6
22:4
23:17
24:21-22
The fear of the Lord is such that we may hate evil, not just the first step to wisdom. It is more than reverence for the Lord. For apart from these there is no fear.
Some sins, 8:13, ride, arrogance, the way of evil or evil behavior, perverted speech.
6:16
Say no to sins, and forget that God hate sins. Sins violates His Holiness, corrupts His purposes, rob us of every power and peace that God intended for us.
23:17
If we envy sinners, we end up not fearing God.
It is a strong emotion that one seeks to process a quality or something.
14:30 Envy rot the bone
3:31 Envy a man of violence
If we are process someone or something other than god, it is idolatry.
Why are we envy of sinners? Sinners can do whatever they want, free to do, seems attractive. Pleasure and freedom.
Do we really want that or are we after a value of oneness that if for God and refuse what unwholesome pleasure and freedom brings that satisfy the temporal emotion?
It is instead, Christ centered-ness. Values that is after Jesus. The story of Lot which I read yesterday, come near to sin, pleasure and be satisfy and telling yourself that I will not be drawn into it, is another lies. The sins will draw you in and you will be stuck.
I pray for that desire to be satisfy temporally, the feeling of great temporal, but instead focus my thoughts and prayers for the family, that Christ value.
We have destiny in Christ. Christ is the judge of all man and not be envy in the temporal success around us.
Envy is the daughter of pride, anger, virtue,
23:17 How then to overcome envy - be jealous for God. Be zealous for the things of God.
Besides, saying No to sins, we must also say Yes to the savior. Saying No is preventive. Saying Yes to Jesus is proactive, start doing something else that stop doing that wrong things.
16:6 Love and faithful sins is atone for, though Jesus that we draw strength and knowing that there is forgiveness. Do not carry these sins on our shoulder, not upon our merits, but Christ remove them all by His blood.
Therefore remove sins because we have Christ.
The antidote to envy are: Not just contentment. Contentment is a state of being. But being able to get to that state we need humility.
Humility is the ability to come under a higher authority, subject ourselves to Christ.
1Pet 5:6
Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you,
Cast all our care to Him. Knowing that Christ takes care of my life. When someone is promoted and you are not, I am envy and am tempt in envy to do what and like the sinners. But the cast on God leads to the knowledge that God cares and I am well under the authority of God, who is above all. I am contented.
If you fear God
15:32 Humility comes before honor.
24:21-22 You will respect those in authorities.
The fear of the Lord, requires us to act decisive to sins, but just say no, but proactive remove it through Christ.
His Love and Faithfulness will keep us. His peace and refuge will keep us. Love our savior faithfully and deal with sins decisively.
What I do in the day, I have to account to God at the end of the day (the story of Raja).

6:16
There are six things that the Lord hates,
Say no to sins, and forget that God hate sins. Sins violates His Holiness, corrupts His purposes, rob us of every power and peace that God intended for us.
23:17
Let not your heart envy sinners,
If we envy sinners, we end up not fearing God.

Lot saw the land in the valley near Sodom was good and pitch near it.
But what near it later became in it. Lot was later capture and put in Sodom.
Sodom represent the evil, looks good. Often we choose based on that and thinking that as long as we are not in it, it is ok, but often, the near it later become in it.
Guard my heart so that what capture it should be the one that consecrate it and not corrupt it.
As I did devotion with Deb, the life of Paul begin with strict learning and teaching and work for God. That should be the devotion.
I did my swim today 14 laps.
I hope to spend tomorrow morning in desperation, time alone with God.
