Elisha, the disciple of Elijah. He walked the same way as Elijah.

In the passage, I read from 2 King 4:1-17, through God, he multiplied the jars with oil, just like Elijah who multiply the oil and the flour. He too brought life from dead. The old woman was able to conceive a child, just like Elijah who raised the dead boy.

2 Cor 5:18-20, we were given the ministry of reconciliation, to bring about the message of reconciliation as we are the ambassador of Christ.

Two points to note. We are called to step out of our comfort zone and share the message of reconcilation to others.

The ministry of reconcilation were given to us, the moment we recived Christ. The job of a minsiter therefore does not just stop here. We must therefore train the minister and we don't try to be disciple, but we train to be disciple.

Elisha walked with Elijah and even his actions followed that of Elijah.

In my family, there are non-christian - my father, there are Christian - my Rachael and my children.

The ministry involve both reconcilation as well as discipleship.

The start of this minstry was when we recive Christ, but we need ourselves to to effective minister, and that is through the empowerment of the spiritual disciplines, by the spiritual community as well as by the Holy Spirit.

I pray for myself to be empowered and Lord lead me to the place where I can see mulitiplication as well as life, just the way Elisha did.

I pray that thus I can be effective shepherd in my family, bring my family to greater height with wings and deepening foundation with roots, in the Lord Jesus Christ.

I pray that I can be a bold and effective mininster of reconcilation to the people who do not know you. Lead and guide me in this area.
