Rev 12 saw Satan hurl down to earth from heaven. The anger shifted from fighting with God to the child, to the mother to the off spring.

Rev 13 continued to show the war Satan wage with the off spring. In the middle of all the seals and trumpets disasters, now come for us to confront the devil. The world belongs to him.

Satan cannot hurt God and so the only way is to deceive us and bring us away from God.

If anyone has an ear, let him hear:

If anyone is to be taken captive,

to captivity he goes;

if anyone is to be slain with the sword,

with the sword must he be slain.

Here is a call for the endurance and faith of the saints. (Revelation 13:9-10, ESV)

The battle is no one sided. But there is no need to fear the devil. He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world. And if God is with us, who can be against us.

I therefore has to guard the unity of the family and not be deceived by the plan to sow discord and break up. If the battle is in the mind, then Lord I pray that you help us to remind us that we are the child of God. The very things that you have given me is the best - let all the positive thoughts be brought into my mind.

If the battle is spiritual, then prayers is the defense and the word is the offensive weapons.

Build the unity up - be slow to anger, use kind words to each other. Show love and pray together. encourage each other.
