17 Mar 2014; Rev 16

17 Mar 2014; Rev 16

Rev 16 is about the release of the judgement of 7 bowls. The judgement is some what similar to that pass onto Egypt in Exodus.

This chapter clearly separate 2 groups of people - the mark of the beast and the mark of God (Rev 7-2-4; Eph 4:13).

The judgement by the 7 bowls is poured out onto the group with the mark of the beast (Rev 16:2) for those who live life with no relevant of God. These group of people will not escape the last days of judgement. The judgement is escalating  and complete.

The Seventh Bowl
The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple, from the throne, saying, “It is done!” (Revelation 16:17 ESV)
Compare this when Jesus said - "it is finished" where the second group of people where the sins are forgiven and receive the salvation.

The first group has no way to pass the judgement. We are save - but there are many who are not.

But what is worse that this judgement - it is that we do not know when this judgement will come - a surprise coming back - we have to be alert about when Christ is coming back - but be ready.

As Christian - our task is to be faithful in the job that we are called to do. Besides the work, the role, we are then to be faithful to in the great commission - to reach those who has yet to know Christ - God and his salvation.

Revelation 16 point another truth -  The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was allowed to scorch people with fire. They were scorched by the fierce heat, and they cursed the name of God who had power over these plagues. They did not repent and give him glory.
(Revelation 16:8-9 ESV)

They are a stubborn lot and it does not mean anyway easy in our reach out in the midst of this reach out. But the call is clear - judgement is sure. Are we ready? Are we the faithful servant who know that the master is coming back and we are faithful in doing the things God is calling us to do?

What then matters to PH? What is more important to PH? Lord prepare my heart to see and know realize the end and stop putting the things of this world important; treating sins too casual; but be in the matter of God and do the faithful servant - waiting on the Lord, sharing the salvation plan of God to those who needs it. Amen.
