9 Mar 2014; Rev 11

9 Mar 2014; Rev 11

The message was on being in debt - in debt in Christ. For He has given us - now is our time to give back. In Jesus last word - is the great Commission. We are to go and make disciple in all nations.

I know that I owe God that - I too owe God the many things he has bless me and the family.

Rev 11 is the second interlude of the 2nd sets of woes (the 7 trumpets). It is between the 6th and the 7th trumpets.

The key of the chapters is about the 2 witnesses, after John was given the little scroll to eat. The 2 witnesses were to prophesy for about 3 years. No one can stop them - it seem that no one want them to preach and wish that they were dead. But any one who tried to stop them are instead being killed.

So after that 3 years, when the beast that raises from the bottom pit came and killed the 2 witnesses, their bodies were left and were not buried and the people rejoice.

Is this the end? No - as the book of Revelations points - the victory belongs to God.

But after the three and a half days a breath of life from God entered them, and they stood up on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here!” And they went up to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies watched them. (Revelation 11:11-12, ESV)

Therefore be fearless, there is an urgency to preach, not just to share the gospel but to proclaim the blessings and what is promise to others. Revelation has so far pointed out the tribulation that has occurred and will come. Therefore we stand as witness for Christ - that indebtedness that we are save and secure. It is now that we must proclaim.

Lord, I pray that this year be a year of fruitful giving back to the kingdom - money, time and effort. to serve others - least that they know about what is and is about to come. Amen.
