18 Aug - Esther 1-3; 1 Corinthians 11:17-34; Psalm 35:17-28; Proverbs 21:19-20

The OT begins with the book on Esther. I remembered about this book that the word 'God' is not even mentioned. The first three chapters very quickly narrates how Esther was made queen.

Esther was very obedient, followed every instructions of Mordecai. It was this obedient that she followed that resulted in the alvation of the jews later. Why is Esther such a obedient girl to Mordecai? Why did Mordecai wanted Esther to be queen?

I don't have the answer, but something was probably true was the brought up of Esther by Mordecai. I also believed that Mordecai know very well the position of the Jews in the kingdom and their status can be very vulnerable. Not only Mordecai himself tried to poistion himself in the government, he probably knew the chances of survival would be good if Esther can hold the queen position.

I pray that indeed, whatever we do, we do did for the glory of God
