28 Aug 2007

28 Aug - Job 28-30; 2 Corinthians 2:12-17; Psalm 42; Proverbs 22:7

Pro22:7 The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender.

Indeed, recall how much the Lord has bless, that I don't consider myself as a borrower. The only two loans I have is my car and my house. If I want to, the car can be paid off in a single payment. The house is paid using CPF with excess - meaning both Rachael and my account is still growing. As I read about the recent credit woes and problem with the sub-prime in both US and UK, there are many people who cannot affort a house as the interest rates and unemployment rates raises. Fundamentally, this affect the state of the economy. Many Americans has big debts. Therefore consider yourself bless that I have a house over my head and much bless is also credited to the wise government of Singapore.

Psa 42:5 Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me?
I pray for my family, Rachael and Josef, for the joy and the triumphent spirit. Yes, indeed we are in close contract with people everyday and inevitably we face stress, indifferences, etc. I pray for breakthrough, I pray for an uplift of the spirit. Focus our attention on the Lord, that we run the race with the sole intention to win the prize in Christ Jesus. If our lives become more entrangled with the world things and relationship, we will be strangled with them. Again, I pray for a breakthrough in all these relationships among friends and colleagues. Peace and a restful spirit, I pray.

Psa 42: 5 "Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation [10] 6 and my God."

2 Cor 2:"14 But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere. 15 For we are the aroma of Christ to God"
