6 Aug - Ezra 3-4; 1 Corinthians 2:6-3:4; Psalm 28; Proverbs 20:24-25

Ezra talks about the return of the people back to Jesusalem. The exact timing was 70years after exile. I shared yesterday after God giving us a destiny, and today it is not only the hope, but life. He has promised us His son, who is the way, the truth and the life.

Give thanks for that - that I can use my hands to type and to blog. He has already given us Jesus, the life. He has given us life to enjoy all things. What more can I ask.

The people who were exile longed to go back to Jesusalem - why? For an entire genration, the poeple should have been well settled down in Babylon. A place called home? National pride? Some of it yes, the Ezra 3:"old men who had seen the first house, wept with a loud voice when they saw the foundation of this house being laid,".

God desire to give us rest - our sabbath rest. A lot of us miss out this importance. When we rest, we stop work, it is then God who provides - isn't that wonderful. I do not need to work on weekend - and isn't that too wonderful to give thanks. Remembered the earlier readings from 2 Chr - "And God give peace (rest) throughout the land" and Psa23 said - I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Take yor time to rest.
