3 Aug - 2 Chronicles 33:14-34:33; Romans 16:8-27; Psalm 26; Proverbs 20:19
So many kings that has been mentioned in Chronicles. But when asked about the King who tore his clothes - Josiah. What so unique about him? It is quite unbelievable that a boy like him knows so much to do right with God. How about ask? Many of us, including myself has too many distraction. I pray that I can be like Josiah, know what is the right thing to do. Holy Spirit, please teach me.
As I spoke to Max, he mentioned about not having the spirit of envy and live day by day. Indeed, with contentment in Christ Jesus is of great gain. Like what Paul say, to live is for Christ. Jesus, I pray for favour.
Today, even as I start off the day, I was reminded to continue to pray for my family, Rachael, my children. Pausing, I pray for Josef and Deborah that they will learn like Josiah to know God at a young age. I pray for their life partner, that God will bless them with someone that love Jesus much too. I too pray for Rachael as she seek out priorities versus the desire and dreams she had. I know you are a God who bless and gives - how much more can we ask? Lastly for my father, God you soften his heart..
Nobody knows what will happen tomorrow. But to be able to live each day for the Lord, is already a gain. The hope we have in Christ should be the energy to propell us forward each day. Ask what is that install for us today that we live another contented day in Jesus. Yes, we have dreams - keep God in the picture and include God in our pursuit. Amen.
